    Good video, I’m doing my 2009 impala and the biggest obstacle for me was getting the hub off of the shock tower lots of pb blaster and it eventually came out 😂

    I already replaced bearing assembly (thx to your info ;-) . I've had to change my rotors due to warping 3 times in one year. I bit the bullet last go and got oem parts and they still warped. Breaks and alignment are good. What do u think is causing it?

    • @AnythingAuto
      @AnythingAuto  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      the only way for a rotor to warp or i should say the most common way is due to heat. id be checking that caliper or brake hose. something is causing them to heat up and that is the thing that is around it. i hope this video helps. feel free to like and subscribe for more & if you can, please help the channel out by giving a super thanks. My guess is your calipers are partially seized and not releasing the whole way and are slightly rubbing against the rotor so it heats up and warps the rotor

    What kind of scanner do you have and do you recommend Detroit axle parts from Amazon

    • @AnythingAuto
      @AnythingAuto  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's an autel. I am not sure what model. It was like $2800 when I bought it. I have used their shocks and struts before with no complaints. I know they sell more but I don't use them. Me and Amazon parts haven't worked very good. Had 3 parts and 3 come backs so stopped there. i hope this video helps. feel free to like and subscribe for more. also head down into the description and check out the link for some high quality led bulbs for this and any other vehicle. use my referral for a discount. Awesome. Doing a '13 Caddy XTS - another vid showed removal of the control arm and tie rod to get the axle out, but I thought there should be enough play in the axle to pop it out of the hub, then remove the hub. Sure enough. 👍

      Do you have to replace the hub for a bad harness?

    • @chipjumper
      @chipjumper 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RogerKnowsTech I'd try to look and see if the harness is chafed and repairable. Seems like most people just replace the entire bearing assembly though.

    Is it better to use ac delco or aftermarket hub bearing?

    • @AnythingAuto
      @AnythingAuto  ปีที่แล้ว

      Doesn't matter just get a lifetime warranty if you're keeping the car. I always use 1aauto.com Hubs with zero issues. Not a sponsor.

    It helps when you have all the right drills and tools. I bet they cost a pretty penny

    • @AnythingAuto

      The good thing about tools is they don't go bad. I used to do all of this with basic hand tools when I started. Never again.

      Okay sure. Was wondering if you might answer a few questions. I have a 2012 Impala with the same problem. It will be my very first DIY auto repair job. I'm starting with basically nothing. Any advice or suggestions you can give me?

  • @jimglassford9967

    He never uses a torque wrench. He is a hack and this Impala will be back in next year with a bad wheel bearing.

    • @AnythingAuto
      @AnythingAuto  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This video is for entertainment purposes only. All bolts are at proper specs according to GM. If you need the specs they are in the description. As far as a return, the video is more than a year old and never had a return on this or any vehicle. I think you should buy better products if you have concern with replacing them once a year. Sometimes going cheap on parts isn't worth it in the long run. Glad this video helped you. Like and subscribe more :)
