I love how he picked tempo in FL and started project in Ableton
he always does that
routine i guess
He did this in the K?D video too
THE COHESION MAN
Lol, yeah that messed with my mind.
should i be worried about u
yes :)
never thought i would see u here
Oh shit youre here!!!
After commenting in composeirlys hans zimmer video i see youre watching a lot of yt vids
Damn the legend himself
"Is it crack they were smoking?"
-Dyllan Tallchief(2020)
Yes
thee hath smoketh on thy forbidden crack!
i mean it's called acid for a reason so no it wasn't crack lol
@@z3nv0fficial no the most iconic sound is ”Init”, mate
@@z3nv0fficial i laugh till this day wondering why they made that as the default patch.
I love how the music of the future is EDM from 8 years ago.
full circle
History repeats itself
ALL my stuff is this. Just don't have a valid laptop 4 DAW use. I'm having to record on tascam dp 8 track(digital) but haven't figured out how to mp3 it so as to send to places. Any advice welcomed...tho I'm sorting some live videos 4 youtube!🥰
@@MsEden176 You might be able to use a 4-pole auxiliary cable from the headphone out of the Tascam to your phone and record using an app. Worth a try?
@@grunions9648 thanks 4 this. Means I can mix n master on tascam then mp3 it!🥰🙏
About the Key thingy. The Basslines are most of the times in Dominant Phrygian, e.g. 1,2b,3,4,5,6b,7b or normal phrygian 1,2b,3b,4,5,6b,7b. Staying close the root/root chord is what gives it this consinsten feeling, combined with the many close movements/movements to the fith of the chord, which adds this evil feeling. Hope i could help someone. Have Fun :D
Man hopefully this gets noticed more
i was struggling so hard to get the bass mean and this made it happen in two seconds
What is a chord
@@volttheunknown A Chord is a collection of notes that are played at the same time creating a chord. You can look it up and find examples there are some bery complex chords that contain a lot more than just 3 at a time.
thank you SOO much it helps since im new to producing
Glad to be featured here! Thanks Dylan! :)
yooo it's extra terra!!!
Checked out your music because of this video! Playlist-worthy stuff, man.
@@sanjacobs6261 thank you!
K. Will check U out.😎
Ayyy the man himself is here as well
This video is 100% accurate in every way, shape, and form. totally.
An actual normal comment, wtf?
It might be but I can't tell now because your comment has too much confidence. thanks 😆
@@shem_badui it's like when everything is too perfect that one evening and you just know a disaster is about to happen
@Dark Meta thats life in a nutshell
and waveform
0:30 is that futuristic macarena
Edit: holy shit it is
It's fire ngl
It's Owl Vision - Eclypz. Just in case you didn't know. ✌🏼
glad i'm not the only one who thought about that LUL
There was a time when this was called Industrial music
Oh shit you right
This. I would love if Industrial Genre made a comeback
(wrongly)
I mean, industrial is a really broad term that encompasses music like this, but also like Throbbing Gristle, Einsturzende Neubauten, Ministry, etc.
@@spicyjew6777 That's true. Industrial got super metal at times. But this cyber punk stuff reminds me a lot of NIN in their prime
now i just need something like Tokimonsta’s oriental-ish beats, or something more electro celtic/viking sounds
Man, Tokimonsta's Rose's Thorn gave me chills everytime i hear it
Came expecting an 'industrial synthwave' tutorial, got a 303 acid bass tutorial instead - either ways, absolutely *not* disappointed, your tutorials are really easy to follow, and entertaining to watch. Thank you very much, Daddy Dylan.
Well hello there bloo
Hello there^2
“Keanu Reeves Big Chungus mo-“
thank you Dylan, very cool
9:18 virtual riot's "subtle" riser
it’s nearly there but it’s not, the subtle riser is from Push Button Bang - Robostep SFX sample pack
@@hazemmedhatt hahaha yeah i know it's not the one, i just made a joke because vr showed in how he made 'pray for riddim' he has a "subtle" riser
@@justmii4887 oh lol sorry didn't know you are joking
@@hazemmedhatt hahaha it's fine
@@hazemmedhatt is it definitely in this sample pack?
HOW TO CYBERPUNK: Distort a saw wave.
And filter
can also fm a detuned saw with a -2 octave sine wave
makes a really gritty cool sound
He has brought the milk from the future.
Yeahhhhh
I won't like this since it's now currently 69
@@dolakanz680 It's broken now and it's not even my fault.
@@SianaGearz F
I see you on almost every disciple release!
3:00 Just sounds like a bitcrushed Macarena.
Literally says it on the track title
It is LMAO
@@epixcasual That's just added by Dylan, the original is just "Owl Vision - Eclypz".
The distortion is sick af, sounds metal af.
3:20 bass
5:20 sequencing acid bass
9:00 random sounds
There's also the Bladerunner cyberpunk musical aesthetic, which is just dark, ambient, synth-based vibe music
You got any recommendations? always looking for more!

I can't wait for mid-tempo to take over once Cyberpunk 2077 is released
Oh damn, it's great to appear on a video of Dylan! :D thanks for sharing the cyberpunk vibes!

Non ci avevo fatto caso lol
Didn't notice that ahah
I used to have a Dark Electro project, but now it's almost completely abandoned... You just gave me an idea what I could do with it. 😀
This is killer man! Captured the vibe nicely
I haven't checked out this channel in 2 years. This man has become a mighty producer wow.
Also this track is fucking sick
pretty sure I've listened to every playlist he used for examples lmao
Missed you Dylan. Looking forward to whatever you're working on.
Still the most in depth, most informative and most funny video to watch, I’m here because of the 1.6 patch and the music gets me every time.
Hope you doing good buddy, greetings from Berlin !
Your music is even better than ever.
Healthy jam. Dope tutorial.
Super glad TH-cam suggested this video. Awesome work!
love this type of vibe I didn't even know it was called midtempo..
cool vid as always :D
golden video
i am very much into that all cyberpunk music and i am really excited to watch this lol
[ *one short existential crisis later* ]
Do you know the name of the music he uses in that part?
11:37 i like that hl2 death sound
THANK YOU SO MUCH for this video!!! I wanted to learn more about the music I love
Genre is called Midtempo. Thank me later.
Edit:
Oh he said that as well.
nope
it's slow industrial
@@rainy2063 nope
its midtempo
nope.its dubstep.
is a joke.
@@DmitryG1488
Waaaaat... Nope
It's not midtempo at all, silly :)
@@TheThe-od6nt
Yeah, so dubstep
I like in this track low freq flow bass underneath and slow 2step garage rhythm :)
Dylan you have to stop being so good at literally every genre of music you make, how does that make us look
Awesome timing! I just so happened to be playing with way more synthesizers and trying to learn how they work
I've just released today may first attempt to Cyberpunk without watching any tutoriel but now that I watched this, it is really gonna help my next one, cheers mate nice video 🌆
good you're back!
This is so cool. Thanks Dylan!
Cool asf Daniel! Great job
Bro I FRICKEN MISSED YOUR CONTENT!!!!
My eyes and ears have been opened. I shall henceforth take my 90s sketches and turn them into 2020s cyberpunk music. thank you for sharing.
Great tutorial! Very helpful and I learned a few new tricks. Thanks!
dylan just wanted you to know this was really great.
I honestly think this will get a lot of views there arent many tutorials for this. So helpful.
love your vidz!!!
I'm probably not going to make this genre of music, but WOW this is a blistering competent tutorial. Kudos.
Taking a minor key and diminishing the 2nd note makes it "phrygian," I think. This is very common for mid-tempo stuff.
Damn, good work bro!
This is a huge inspiration for me thank you so much for making this video, Neat. 😎👍💯
Masterpiece my man
awesome video thanks for the tips! The song is amazing!
Of all the tutorials on how to make this type of music, you're the only one that got it right.
Sounds great, Dylan.
This is why I love 80s/Cyberpunk stuffs 💜💙
BABE WAKE UP NEW DYLAN VIDEO
Yo this is dope...sounds dark and uplifting 💯🔥
I was literally searching this how to

Yup, putting a track out like these soon! Love the vibe and excited for the game :)
Imagine all the gaming montages that could use this music , all those spicy edits mayne 😫👌
Exactly the video i needed
DUDE IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR A TUTORIAL FOR THIS KIND OF MUSIC SINCE I WAS LISTENING TO THE "GENRE" FOR THE PAST 2 MONTHS THANKS ALOT!!!! (Caps lock intended)
Boom! What a sick track you've made! Massive!
9:22 when you step on a lego
11:37 I have a better idea
excellent video!
Very very cool tutorial man !
End Result was crazy good, learned a lot from this video
Please publish the music only, it is actually so good and I'd love to listen to it again and again :D
"this game isnt even out yet"
sentence still applies today
Ikr 💀
Awesome tutorial dude! Would be dope if the second drop switched to double time with the drums (kinda expected it from the build up). Something like neurofunk mixed with this genre would sound amazing!
ur the best dylan
Oh man I can't wait to play this game tomorrow
the return of the king
soo good! Thanks so much
nice doctor mix inplementation!
HE'S BACK
Now this is sad, we're having to rewatch old Dylan Talllchief videos.
The transition from FL studio to Ableton was so smooth.
Fantastic tutorial! Thanks!
Thank you Dylan very cool 😤🙏🏼
I thought I had to watch the video, but I just looked in the description and now I know
F. O. O. L. This guy made the coolest tracks in this area. Worth checking out.
you forgot Extra Terra
Yes, I love F. O. O. L. Especially their songs “Highway” and “Escape Plan”
True
You should check out Tenebrax, KLOUD and Owl Vision as well.
awesome, cyberpunk 2077 is coming and this is one of my most fun parts of making music is creating bass patches.
I caught that sneaky "interlock" sound clip from Half-Life 2's Overwatch.
Nice stuff bro
really nice and well made, congrats! *clap clap*
You are a gem
YESSS i love darksynth music! starting to make it myself
Yayyyyyyy new dyldyl video!!!

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't he set the tempo in FLS and then immediately change to Ableton?
