The pure soothing vibes is really deep in this one, and its a bit on the melancholic side aswell. This is a constant companion to have playing in the background for many hours. The visuals is just awesome too. Sorry for bragging, but I'm so pleased to be able to produce this level of quality now. It's so fun and inspiring :) But anyway, please give this one your whole THUMB please. It deserves it.. VERY AWESOME!!!
Good job! It's okay to be proud of your work...
I’m 😅😅😅
Absolutely love it!! I'm in the process of introducing Blade Runner to my son, and this captures its spirit and vibe perfectly!
it's nice to find out that this is actually indeed unique 🙂I had the impression that there was not just a loop, but a constant fade back and forth, really had me zooming out 😶🌫
I was 15 when I first watched Blade Runner back in 1982 and to this day I have never found a movie or a soundtrack that instantly reminds me of how insanely relaxing and engaging it all was. I'm in my fifties now and still feel the same way. Thankyou for making this and Thankyou for understanding 😎
I was 14 and didn't get to see it until it came out on VHS.
Hi Daydream Believer,
I was 10 in 1982, so I'm 5 years behind you in our 50's.
I also remember Blade Runner when it came out, but still yet to watch the whole film!
The sequel Blade Runner 2049 to me is one of the best sequels ever made in motion picture history, with a soundtrack, second to none ( that's me though)
1982's Movie was ahead of its time. I will get around to watching it. If you haven't seen 2049, you gotta see it!!👍👍 all round!
@@jamesschuur2801 Hi James,
I'll have to rent blade runner on TH-cam or else where, if Its brill' like 2049, then I'll buy it?
exactly 59 and feel the same
Thanks 4 the 👍's up, if that was you Day dream believer, or anyone else?
Thanks for the music. I am a NYC security guard. This keeps me in good spirits when I’m working after 1-3 AM. Really appreciate it.
Greetings and best wishes from an fellow Security guard from Germany.

I trust you are well, Reggie. Your posting made me want to reach out to you to say HELLO from Brooklyn, NYC.
Hey Reggie, it sure is the best film. Hope you're doing OK bud, all the best.
Thank you og 🫡🫡
Take care Reggie, may God bless you
Reggie, I hope you’re doing okay! Best of wishes to you brother.❤
I wrote an entire book listening to this.
It ignites passion while also calming the mind and providing a feeling of lightness.
Is it any good?
@@Tomyum19 yeah
@@Tomyum19 My editor likes it so far :)
did you write what life should be about ?
I have to admit, Blade Runner was one of the reasons I moved to Tokyo. One of the most influential, if not THE most influential movie of my life. Cheers from Tokyo 2023.
😂 вы наверно были сильно удивлены когда прибыли в Токио , что машины не летают, что дождь не льет целыми месяцами и что нет репликантов?😅
Tokyo 2023. Sounds like something like Dekkar or Doc Brown would say. We really do live in the future.
True story I 100 percent agree
Wear my obsession began looking for media similar an struggling then I came across akira and ghost in the shell 😮
how life in tokyo going
I've been that guy living in Tokyo sitting out on the balcony way up an apartment block, a blurry constellation of window lights and neon through typhoon level rain. I never felt so alone, or so at one with myself. Bladerunner and the incredible soundtrack by Vangelis said it best.
My dream is to stare at neon lights in Tokyo 😊
me too -- yrs ago had a tiny place with a tiny balcony, 26th floor, in an old building on 42nd st in NYC. big gargoyle right overhead like ghostbusters.
this is the vibe 100%
Absolutely mesmerizing!!!! The rain, the skyscrapers, being so high up on a balcony and being alone with no one to bother you!!! Amen 🙏
This is great while I'm working. Although looks like a toddler or pet could go right through that gate.
I hope one day you'll be lucky enough to sit on a bench on a mountaintop and enjoy the view. Cities with no flora and fauna are a cancer for our planet.
Being alone can be incredibly lonely but also incredibly peaceful!
The visuals, music and sounds in this video, simultaneously captures those feelings for me.
Hey, thanks for letting me know that :)
I agree. There’s a lyric in a song from one of my favorite bands that encapsulates this feeling perfectly:
“Feeling lonely and content / at the same time / is a real kind of / happiness.”
Group: Nightwish
Song: Lagoon
Aloneness is bliss.🧘♂️
I can relate being alone 99% of the time myself. It's both peaceful and depressing and yet liberating all at the same time.
@@MKF30 I know exactly what you mean. Growing up as a kid, I always seemed to know people but never really had a social life or friends. Yet somehow I always seemed to be okay with it later on even into adulthood. Like you said, it's depressing but also liberating and peaceful
It might be dystopia, but we have the best view in the house.
The scene with Deckard on the balcony of his home and drink in his hand battling his own demons while Rachel is inside.... and cars flying past in the night is such an iconic scene. Was a short scene but Ridley Scott captures so much with that visual without words that till this day can't be matched.
Rachel isn't in Deckards apartment in this scene!
Like tears in the rain ☔
I am alone so much in my life. But when I listen to this, it all makes sense.
❤❤❤
this helps you see the truth in the face which we spend most of our days trying to forget. A profound unmitigated loneliness is the only truth of life.
I love how the image is depressing, yet serene. No trees, flowers, or any greenery. You are alone and it is a rainy day but at the same time, it is peaceful and calming.
Exactly this a combo of beautiful, peaceful ,calming but at the same time depressing because of the blackness of skyscrapers being everywhere you can see and what gave me goosebumps is that i'll most likely do what you're saying while listening to something like this sometime in some decades from now, maybe even thinking of how the years passed and i'm 50+ now instead of just 23.
It's cold
Throw in a case of beer and you just described my perfect day
Start writing short stories. You needed this push.
The art of the soul is embedded within the way we describe what we perceive. 3 months later...write a story. The world needs more creative writers

*_This is very relaxing for me. I wish everyone who sees this success in life ❤_*
And you!
First, in my honest opinion, Blade Runner followed by Tron are two of the best Sci-Fi movies today. As far back as I can remember I was always that kid that knew a lot of people but for some reason, I didn't mind too much of being alone or wanting to hang out in spaces I didn't know anyone. This goes all the way into adulthood, I'm 46 now. Dark, rustic sci-fi movies, ambient music like this in some weird way always gave me comfort with being alone a majority of my life even with being in past relationships. Something about Sci-fi, dark scenes, Cyber punk, ambient music has always fascinated me and gives me peace while reflecting on my life and being grateful for every single thing.
You have a great outlook on life mate :) Thanks for spreading some of it :)
@@spacewavecr life has been one huge teacher that has taught me so many things. After I retired from the military, I've had some serious highs and lows, but the biggest thing I have taken from it, is to seriously value everything and live life to the fullest. Very glad I found this channel.
I agree with you. in my39 years of existence, I've experienced a lifetime worth of traumas. It shifts your perspective on things. And I'm glad to have been through all that. I feel you man! 👍
And The Matrix and Dark City
I was 10 in 1982 and Loved Blade Runner. Havent seen 2049 but need to. I love CyberPunk.
Bruh. Watch it right now. Treat yourself
2049 is a special kind of sequel. Retains the neo noir storytelling, atmosphere, and services old fans with a plotline that manages to boost the original story. I don't think there's a fan that doesn't appreciate it.
I recommend you read Neuromancer by William Gibson. Arguably the origin of the a cyberpunk genre and maybe the greatest sci-fi novel ever written.
2049 does not create the ambience of 1982, but it made me shed a tear of emancipation by the time i finished watching it at the cinema. q
T*E*A*R*S I*N R*A*I*N. Still considered the top monologue in a cinemaic setting ever made. Back in the 1980's when first time I saw it, I was too young to understand the deep meaning and sorrow of what Roy said about what life is. Now I think I do....
So short. Too short.
@@brianbell3836 And yet, that is what makes it so beautiful, so Special...
@@R0GU351GN4L No question.
I listen to this every morning. And all of you who are reading this right now, I know it's a hard time. but keep pushing on! Don't give up. life isn't perfect, but some moments are better than others
I lost it reading this. How did you know? Thank you, I will keep pushing on
I was 20 when BLADE RUNNER came out. I was blown away. 2049 seemed like blasphemy until I watched again and again, and I realized how deep. It made me connect both movies in a much much deeper level. We’ve become the AI, they became human, with more compassion than us. It made 2019 seem exactly like 2019. In the case of 2049, when they wrote it, lightening struck!
It took a second watch for me to realize how awesome 2049 is.
Im not lonely, but im alone. Yet when im not alone, I feel lonely
I just thought of this quote. Like it if u want so i can get back here again and listen to this
I can't describe these Feelings, I don't have a Name for it, but every time I listen to Music like this, I'm taken off the world and into a completely different world of imagination, wonder, and awe. It's an amazing feeling.
Exactly
Do you know the meditation sound OM" It is said to be the first sound of creation, the original vibration of the universe. The long held note being played in this piece is a god note. OMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm it can inspire some profound feelings!
It really is. And one that isn´t really talked much about. This wired squirmy and floaty feeling in your somache, a tingling in the spine, a heavy weighting, melancholic yet also deeply serene and wonderous feeling. Nearly floating in your mind. And when you close your eyes you can nearly feel that world, the rain coming down, the glow of neon lights. For a moment siiting in a noodle shop in an overcrouded city thats as hostile and depressing as it also is beautiful. And it really is hard to put into words, because it´s also much more. Quite a viceral feeling, and also pretty incomprehensible. Because it´s not an emotion we feel in any other context really. It´s also not a very defined one, it´s neither sadness, wonder, awe, yet at the same time is all of them.
In a meditative mind, your music carries me to another world where things are wholesome and the way its supposed to be. And escape is necessary for everyone.
calm down...
@@JNC12 fr its just relaxing background music
@Story Shape he's calmer than you, Gilligan 🫵🤡
@@HazerdousGamingTV Theres still no need for him to act like his life has all been depending on this background music 💀💀😂
Yall giving this more thought than me, it was thoughts in the moment haha, not my fault yall make me ubiquitous...
An introverts paradise
I want an open world game like this, with next gen graphics. And, not like Cyberpunk 2077, with all of it's flashy lights, and over the top action, but something like traditional cyberpunk; With a dark, melancholy environment, on a dead, post-modern world, with a really subtle soundtrack like this in the background that plays while you wander the streets as a Blade Runner, seeking replicants. That would be so aesthetic, and it isn't the cyberpunk game we need, but the one that we deserve.
I feel you my man. I would love for a game that has this vibe. Glad I can create these, but it would be awesome to experience it in vr game
The closest to this style and music a game got to (Not banging Cyperpunk) were two games, Neocron and Neocron 2. Older MMO games in the early 2000's up till 2012. Great games but dated nowadays. The music and style was spot on thou.
@@CyrusEpion interesting, I'll have to check them out if they're on Steam. Right now I'm working on the S.T.A.L.K.E.R franchise, so maybe when I complete those, I'll hop into that.
bro, @@toska3528 I remember a blade runner game back in 1999 ?
@@MediaGroundTV yeah, it's a point and click adventure game. It's a great game, but I want something open world and a lil' but more modern
Thanks to Vangelis for making Bladerunner so memorable.
Vangelis would approve!
Was 7 yrs old in 1982 when my parents took my to cinema to see Bladerunner; no one appreciated it then. Neither did my parents. Neither did I. But then hired it from video store on VHS tape in 1990 and fell love with it
I was born in 1982
Sometimes I just want to be alone with no distractions....this is a perfect soundtrack for my relaxation
Im glad to find people with the same obsession with the dystopian vibes in comment section thanks guys
its like tokyo, so nice after a long day of work, chilling in the patio, high in the air while the restless yet bright streets glow confidently through the darkest of nights.
As someone with adhd, my mind never stops, thinking about things voicing over things replaying things ect, for some reason looking outside of my window having a cig, it’s drizzling rain, it’s 4am and I live in a city , something is just so relaxing and peaceful about this, thank you for making this peace of art. ❤
And thanks for your vivid description mate. I can totally relate to everything..
Years ago I played a game on the Dreamcast called Phantasy Star Online. I remember clear as day the hours I ploughed into that game, knowing I’d always get to the same point and never be able to beat the boss…but I didn’t mind. Whenever I played it, walking round the space stations, spending credits in the store, buying new armour, I’d get lost in it.
The music was similar to this. Futuristic cyber-like. Anytime I hear this now it triggers me memories of PSO and it takes me back to being a kid again, lost for hours in front of my TV, not a car win the world and fully engrossed in the game.
Amazing piece of music, keep them coming ❤
Often here in Berlin, now raining season, I get a Whiskey bottle at night and listen to this all by myself on my home rooftop thinking "All those moments will be lost in time, like t..."
i feel the same exactly. exactly....
THX for sharing this , nice name btw 🙂

And not just for Roy, but for us all.
We are all replicants too.
I think that may be what Roy figured out at the end...
And for those who don't get it then, Gaff spells it out: " Too bad she won't live.... But which of us do?"
Whiskey in Berlin? Not Beer? :) JK
I discovered your channel recently. You provide quality music with stunning visuals. It inspires a pensive mood.
(Pensive) hmmm I'll have to check that out🎉
I've had this running in the background for days, I think I'm addicted!
Best blade runner ambience you’ve ever released, without a doubt. Also your visuals are just phenomenally well done its incredible to see.
this visual and music make me feel something indescribable, something that cannot be realized, only felt
Sharing memorable that i can't remember, like ancestors from the future
Isn’t music lovely that way? That’s art.
@@jdf3972A glimpse of a world we may never experience. A past that never was, a now that isn´t or a future that never will be. A longing to experience a place that cannot exist. A want that can never be realised, existing in unresolvable suspension.
I'm really grateful that I found this channel 🙏
Thank You Vangelis for all the many years of composing beautiful music...especially for Blade Runner... may you rest in peace... Until we meet again in the Eternal realm... †
How can an urban hellscspe like that be so calming and peaceful? I dont know why id want to be there in that moment, but i do. Being on your own and just existing is sometimes so relaxing and nice.
Fantastic - thank you for this!!!! I’ve just buried a very special friend who I loved dearly - this music reminds me that life is short and as we grow older it’s also full of sad goodbyes - but also new beginnings and new chapters in our lives - we must embrace the past to find a new path
Doing my homework to this is just magical. Truly.
This is so unique and poignant. I really love ambient music in general, but I don't think any of it has moved me as emotionally as this does. There's touches of loneliness, alienation, patience and so much more that its hard to pin down. It's strong enough that I can close my eyes and feel it move across my skin when i'm tired.
This brings tears to my eyes, it's so beautiful 💖
I remember listening to this during my work shift outside in the rain at night, absolutely sublime.
Man, this is so relaxing I could just listen all night, let alone watch - just hypnotic. Thanks for this.
This is so answering, so responding to my soul. I’m alone and it’s mindful and wholesome feeling. I’ve lost everything and found peace inside myself, my shelter, my inner world. Thank you for this.
Hey Mr SpaceWave I listened to a bunch of your other videos - all great - but this one is outstanding. You really hit it this time.
Remember watching Blade Runner as a young 9 year old...we had this weird big square disk that we would put into a player..it was one of two movies we had, needless to say it got played alot. The soundtrack made the movie imo...way ahead of its time.
The secret seems to be rain sounds, a main root note as bass and some friggin awesome triangle waves sustained with lfo's and high pitched strings with infinite reverb.
Thanks fort this, I have to go try now
You really managed to capture the essence of the Bladerunner atmosphere and the rain enhanced it even further. Thanks for the upload.
David, your work is always the very best out there; but even among your other masterpieces, this one is exceptional. This may be one of the best you've ever done, and your visuals just get better with every new release. I applaud you, my friend, on another beautiful slice of perfection... Keep up the amazing work.
This music makes me feel like my soul is just leaving my body and letting me feel peace not the stress
I want to say thank you so much for having this soundtrack, and your many others. For the last year I have been crafting an original IP sci-fi series and just recently got the pilot episode copyrighted and have several pitch meetings lined up in the coming months. Your music kept me inspired, calm, and in the focus while my 11 year old daughter ran around making noise. So thank you!
You have grown so much so fast! I started listening to you when you were at around 33k not long ago, but jsyk I come everyday for a dose of your stuff. I'm just here chillin and I noticed your number, good job dude!

The way this track blends different sounds and textures is truly masterful. It's a testament to the art of ambient music.
Perfect amount of synth in this. Exactly what I was looking for.
The size and atmosphere of the sound opens my mind and reminds me how small I am

Story 1:
In the dimly lit balcony of a towering skyscraper, a man sat alone, his arms crossed tightly over his chest. The neon-lit cityscape of a dark world stretched out before him, obscured by the incessant rain that fell in shimmering sheets. Each drop echoed a melancholic note as it pelted the metal railings, a mournful symphony in the silence of the night.
The man's eyes were fixed on the city below, though he was lost in the labyrinth of his own thoughts. In this desolate world, memories of the past haunted him like elusive specters, slipping through his grasp whenever he tried to hold onto them. The neon signs flickered and reflected in his weary eyes, mirroring the fragmented remnants of his past life. He yearned for a time when the city was vibrant and teeming with life, before the catastrophe had cast a shadow over everything he once knew.
As the rain continued to fall, a solitary tear mingled with the raindrops on his cheek, and he whispered words to the night that no one would ever hear, for in his world, loneliness and sadness were the only companions that remained. He misses his friend, for it was just the two of them.

If you know the rest, then you'll know what I'm talking about. If you've seen the movie, you'll know what I'm talking about. Blade runner gives you this certain feeling and this fits perfectly.
I could jam to this all day with a clean electric guitar tone, neck pickup, some delay and reverb.
Reminds me of the track in the Film Zabriskie Point....which is called Dark Star by the Grateful Dead.....beautiful guitar playing by Gerry Garcia
This was really AWESOME! Floating, dream-like and ethereal. It is mysterious, other-worldly and somehow hauntingly familiar - it is SO Bladerunner. Thank you so much for creating it and sharing it.
