100% - its the challenge of making maps right, takes a lot of time, and depending when you start, the game cycle might be getting towards the end - do you wait and update it for the next game, or just release it and see what happens...
Great tour Argsy, thank-you!! Anything that isn't clear will be covered in the map notes on itch and Discord. Regarding the frame rate... I built it on a i7-7700(4.2Gh), GTX1060 with 32Rams and I get a solid 30FPS which is OK for me. I know this is below some peoples expectations but I think that the map makes up for it in FPS (fun per second). Also, future updates will get it faster.
Thanks again for the opportunity! On larger maps like this, players have to expect some compromise on frame rates/performance to offset the amount of detail, and you've certainly packed some detail in!
@@ArgsyGaming really first time mapper I really didn't expect that considering how much attention to detail and the thought in to how the game maybe played. Well done map creators
wow this looks just like the real place, i think you could spend months if not years on this map without been able to explore every area, so much to do and places to farm / discover. for sure you could do a "series / story" with this map. maybe FSG will divert from his other maps on the Contractor series. I don't know how to do map building, but always had ideas to build a map based of farm on Vancouver island. great job on the map Hilly farms. thanks for sharing Argsy
@@ArgsyGaming Would have been nice if the map has released earlier. Too many times excellent maps and mods release near the end of the game never to be fully appreciated.
Thanks Argsy, and thanks Hillyfarms. This looks amazing. Probably take me to FS24 to do the AD routes. But I always wait a while before playing the next iteration for bugs to be ironed out. Really great cinematics Argsy.
argsy the short trains on the basic game map are called locals, they go to industry to industry picking up loaded cars and dropping off empty cars to be loaded up
This is a great map. Don't forget a lot of people like me will not be moving to fs25. I have put to much time and effort into developing fs22 the way I like it. By the way the AutoDrive Guy put out an autodrive for this map on September 20, 2024
This map looks sweet 🤩 FPS is also a game problem I guess. On all new games I have a lot more then 100fps but on FS22 I mostly don’t get that and I always have a lot of stuttering.
Why don't you put a mod with people to make the map live? a grandmother or a grandfather outside the house to sit in a chair or on a bench. In factories, is it so very difficult to put a security guard and two workers to show that it works? why is it creating dead maps?
Well, you don't know what you don't know I guess. There are very good reasons map makers don't use animated characters. Mainly bc they don't exist in the game, unless you mean the zombie pedestrians. Also, the factories don't have interiors. Also, Nana and GDad sitting in a chair is weird and not what FS is about. Also, show me a 4km x 4km map with more life and things to do. Fu dead map lol
It's really a statement to the dedication of the modders that are still putting out mods and maps for FS22 when 25 is 3 months away.
I feel that FS22 still has untapped potential.

Giants should really hire some of these map modders. Nice job on the video.
Cheers! Nah, lets keep the modders to ourselves so they keep making real world maps for us!

@@ArgsyGaming ...one more thing, the frame rate is much better at ground level... where most farming occurs. 😜
Super tour of a super map @hillyfarms has done a fanatastic job with it. really looking forward to having a look around it
cheers mate, it is an impressive map thats for sure, make a fantastic MP map!
This one has been on the watch list, can't wait to see it in action
I think you'll enjoy it!
This map looks amazing and I can see you or FSG creating a great series on this map it has lots of story mode aspects.
It is a fantastic map, the detail in it is great, not bad for a first time mapper!

I agree, the playability on this map is impressive!
Thanks as always for the great map tour! It really does look like Canada!
Cheers! Yeah, Hilly Farms has hit the nail on the head with the authenticity in this one
Argsy outstanding video my friend. Looking forward to hitting the dirt on this map😂😂
I knew this was right up your alley, and on your doorstep!
That's photo-realism done correctly, Argsy. Editing ridiculously good, and excellent music.
Cheers!
Damn, another amazing map to absorb my spare time. ;-)
Just what you wanted, right!
Great review Argsy - another brilliantly edited video. Always knocking it out of the park!
Thanks! great maps like this make my job easy :)
Its a great map with a cool story behind it.
certainly is! Great work on what you've done with it aswell
@ArgsyGaming Cheers mate!
Another excellent first look.
You and FSG need to pack your bags and head north.
Thanks Randy! You're right, this would be a great MP map, although still lots to do at Aghalee!

HI. Is there a slaughterhouse, meat processing plant, or butcher on the map?
No but plenty of empty land that would suit that.

Cheers mate - yeah be great to see a full AD network on it, but can imagine how long that would take!
I'll have a very basic AD course up on discord in a day or so.
Incredible map! I noticed they purposely left out the maximum security prisons that are actually located next to the mill in real life 😂
Lol, I had no idea - but there it is, on Google Earth - guess not a lot of farming going on in there!
😂😂😂 artistic license
@@hillyfarms could have made for some interesting custom production chains 🤣🤣
Dang!, I missed an opportunity! I think there is a jail in Texas called 'The Farm'. AI workers would be cheap!!

ah, good to know
@@ArgsyGaming the bigger trains are that we see on the map is called manifest or mixed freight which is made up with different cars

Thats a fair comment - more game optimisation to improve performance would be amazing, lets see what 25 brings in that front
@@ArgsyGaming I am counting on 100+ fps and no stuttering 😁
Hope to see it in Fs25 because in 22 I won't start a a new map anymore.
But in few months...
Who knows? 😉
Thanks a lot for showing! 😊👍🏻
Fair enough - I reckon we'll see it in FS25
I hope so too, but I need some time off first 😂
