I hate how no one ever talks about being thin or skinny with hypothyroidism. Everything is always about losing weight but what if you’re to skinny have a hard time gaining weight 🤯
Hey got the same problem here, I'm suffering from hypothyroidism too but never gained any weight since I was a child. I thought I was the only one suffering from being skinny.
I was diagnosed with Grave's disease in 1991 after the birth of my son. I was treated with a radiation capsule and had a completely dead thyroid in 2 days. Living my good Synthroid life ever since.

I have almost all of the sign and symptoms 😢 except for bulging eyes... only excessive tearing. I am on medication and doing blood works every week and once a month and my doctor sees improvement on my t3 results..and next week is my schedule for nuclear test, praying that all will goes well and hoping for a full recovery from hyperthyroidism. Everyday is not easy.... it's always a struggle especially for anxiety and depression.. my hand tremors and confusion is affecting my job..😔
@@lpadilla8914 HI, thankfully I am improving and I am off from Methimazole for almost 1 and a half month by now, no more weekly blood works only once a month since last month which is I am glad. avoid stress and find time to relax your body and mind. I avoided eating my favorite seafoods 🤧 and I boost my b12 and vit D as well because we are in winter season, no enough sunlight.
@@lppa24 yeah I believe I may have this condition and taking a B complex really helped me. Im guessing I was deficient on B1 as I my heart beat was extremely powerful and I felt it in my chest even when I was nervous. If anyone is feeling like they have this condition try out a supplement like the yeast as it could really help. Check with a doctor before taking.
Thanks so much for the info! I've went from 240 to 159, hand tremors ,shaking feelings, get sick feeling puking about 2 or 3 times a day. Eyes hurt, right eye went blurring from apparently cholesterol clogging veins in it. High BP and cholesterol. Among many other signs. Went to the eye doctor, and family doctor this week. Test came back that my thyroid is all messed up. Going back this week for more blood work, and there sending me to a thyroid specialist for testing and chest X rays. I'm only 38, this is scary. Thanks again, I feel much more educated and "prepared" for upcoming doctor information. From stuff I Been researching on my own, maybe Graves disease?
I’m too relatively young at just 42 with this new diagnosis. I am glad to know that I am not alone in this, though of course I wish that neither of us was in this position! Here’s to us maintaining positivity and doing everything we can to make get this sorted out so we can return as close as possible to the “normal” lives we lead before!
@@lindsaywellman6032Mine has been mostly in my hands making things like writing and crafting and working with small objects very difficult. I used to have very nice handwriting and was often complemented on how it looked as though it had been typed from a typewriter, but now days it more resembles chicken scratch and I’m lucky if I am able to discern what it was that I had written in any “reminders” for myself 😂
I was diagnosed with graves 2 years ago. I have all the symptoms except for bulgy eyes (thank god) . I also had almost permanent psychosis . Thyroid Storm almost killed me . Hang in there . I'm currently trying to balance out my life. Taking pills and finding that balance sucks, but also learning to stay clear from certain foods that aggravate the thyroid is hard too . The thyroid is scary when it's trying to kill you.
I had Graves for years that eventually went into remission...Don't fear and keep working it out. Just as you should avoid some foods, others are good for you. One thing I did was juice cabbage. I did treatments prescribed by a naturopath in addition to the pills prescribed by the endocrinologist. I took PTU then Methimazol. Not sure what led to remission though. Maybe change in lifestyle or the Methimazol.

You are not alone! I am literally just finding this! I am male so it gets misdiagnosed more often in men than women. I been in a bad way for several months straight and am being treated for depression anxiety/panic attacks.. sleep disorder.. pretty much all of these symptoms.. I'm so happy I found this out.. and by the way my dad had to take the radiation iodine pills.. he mentioned this to me yesterday and when I looked at the symptoms I was flabbergasted! All me. Explained very well , I had all those symptoms and conditions to the Tee , my thyroid levels got put back into check with medication , and and started producing normal hormone levels , but one other thing I noticed is that my eyebrows start to thin out to almost disappearing and the same thing with my eye lashes , then I know hand tremors and other symptoms will start to occur , however , I started taking a B12 supplement , 500 mcg , and that stopped the syncope , but I do still feel like I want to pass out sometime , but it's just the feeling , but when that happens I take several deep breaths , hold them 5 seconds and then release them very slowly , and the passing out feeling goes away .

I have every symptom of hyperthyroidism. My doc I had is a quack. She told me I was borderline. Ten years ago. She never put me on meds. I was also told by her that I was borderline with pre-diabetes. She gave me no meds. Im suffering. I begged her. I fired her and now looking for a new doctor. Im at my wits end. Hello! I did most of my research, though Google search. I also watched videos with topics related to Grave's disease. Eric berg and Peter osborne videos teach me also. Also, there are books on Amazon, the one that help to understand the nature of Grave's disease, was the (Medical Medium). It also recommended a variety of supplements that can be taken. The key is to know what vitamins deficiency you have. With can be done by doing blood work. For example vitamin D, magnesium, copper, vitamin E, zinc, calcium, omega-3, selenium, B vitamins you may ofto pay for these blood tests 😉 l hope that helps 😊

I’ve been feeling crazy lately, just really tired, went to get bloodwork and my TSH was low. Went to PCP, dx with hyperthyroidism and next step is an ultrasound
what matters is you are alive. most of these systoms are easily seen from many people. Just because your thyroid either produces more hormones or less. I've been anxious before thinkinh I have these as I never consulted a doctor but I do have all the signs of hyperthyroidism. Now going back to videos like these again as I check myself and realize it's okay rather than taking medications to suppress the thyroid which could lead to a severe disease like kidney failure. There's nothing wrong whether you are hyper or hypothyroid. For years people keep pointing out that I'm anboxiously too thin. Yknow what, it's better than having a chronic kidney disease, diabetes, hypertension or even cancer. So m okay because I didn't choose to have hyperrhyroidism. My body malfunctioned on its own but what I can do is to lessen my anxiety and my diet to not fall into the category of being diabetic, CKD, high blood or a cancer patient because these diseases can be prevented but my thyroid is like that so m just gonna live a healthy lifestyle rather than suppress it witg medications P.S. I still struggle with these symptons of weighr loss, muscle weakness, anxiety, insomnia no katter how I fix my lifestyke with food and exercise. Trust me I tried even to the point of drinking protein supplements and working out to gain muscles but life is like that. Just accept what your body has given you and try to avoid diseases you can avoid. I'm clean and don't drink alcohol, no drugs, not smoking and not even taking ang medications That's better than worrying constantly how to stop a malfunctioning thyroid
My doctor diagnosed me with hyperthyroidism. He mentioned most of the symptoms in the video and decided to check my blood values. I guess because he didn't know the severity he didn't tell me what happens if a thyroid shock occurred. The video helped me to remember what he said so thank you. It's actually quite interesting since I asked for help because I felt really depressed. In a way that depressed phase helped me to know what's up. So thank you depression, I guess?

I’m 31 was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism when I was 26. Haven’t been able to regulate my t3&t4 levels yet my weight loss is up and down I’ll go from 125-130 to 115 in a matter of a few weeks. I hate it. I hate the PTU it make me nauseous and less energized and I feel sick to my stomach after taking it. I rather the methimazole, I’m not in my second pregnancy while suffering from hyperthyroidism and I always fear for my unborn child with these meds I’m taking. My fist burn was born perfectly fine but now that i faced a thyroid storm right before I found out I was pregnant I’m a little nervous about the side effects of this PTU, I discontinue it once I’m 12weeks I’m gonna stop at 11 weeks just in case. My husband has most of these. His thyroid number was 1.1 so the doctor didn’t think he could have hyper thyroid but he has a almost all of these symptoms except the sweating. Also he has a large thyroid nodule that the doctor said says needs to be surgically removed, but it has nothing to do with any of the symptoms?

You're usually treated for this at birth. I am also cold sensitive, not hot too much i love being hot but I've noticed my tolerance for heat is a lot less.

I was diagnosed with Hyperparathyroidism . going for surgery to have the lower left parathyroid removed tomorrow 9-29-22 . Your video checked 90 percent of my symptoms . I would like to ask if after the surgery . Do the symptoms go away with time ? .

Recently hospitalized because i have rapid resting heartbeat almost 140 per minute and each time it reaches that high im out of breath and felt like im almost faint, blood works shown i have hyperthyroidism and dr starts medication since then, i still have heart palpitations but the beats now slow down under 100 resting. I thought I was having a heart attacl when it was so bad, I felt generally sick and have low grade fever for weeks on end. Now I feel well and stable.

@Sherifatu Alhassan discuss with your dr, sometime propranolol dose needs to be adjusted maybe increase, dr have lowered mine but they increase it again as the reading still quiet high for resting heart rate. Now it is around 80s range.
@Sherifatu Alhassan im still on carbimazole (lowest dosage) and still on propranolol but i got others health issues too which could triggers thyroid storms so i have to takes other medications (i.e additional high blood pressure meds, iron medications and some others)

A true omg moment. I have been complaining to my doctor for 18 months that I'm having POTS like problems. She totally stuck her head in the sand and failed me. My free t4 is low at .62 and my TSH is high at 13.42. it was 3.23 in March of 2024. Ahhhhh. Plus she won't put me on a CGM even though my AC1 is 5.6, which I know isn't over the "threshold" of early diabetes, but I'm symptomatic. I think she's trying to kill me. I'm full carnivore with no carbs at all. No caffeine, no nada... something is causing dehydration and so on.
Been on Synthroid for hypothyroidism for 20 years. Tsh levels well balanced at around a tsh of 1.5. Menopause hit this year, and suddenly I have become severely hyperthyroid. Tsh was .05 at first bloodwork. Was getting constant pins & needles in arms and legs, and extremely tired, and yes hot all the time. Attributed these symptoms to menopause at first so not sure how long I was hyper for as it had been at least 6 months since my previous bloodwork. Doc lowered my Synthroid dose, and did more bloodwork after 6 weeks. Still hyper at .22 but better. Lowered dose again. Checking back again after 6 weeks. Really hoping to get this sorted out soon because I am experiencing constant aching legs now, and I am worried that it may be Myopathy. Ny legs ache night and day. I am taking Tylenol for the pain every day. Strange thing is though that I did not lose weight. I actually gained weight. I was definitely eating more, and I think I was too tired and in discomfort to do any exercise.

The leg thing in beriberi disease is horrendous. It feels like someone has a metal clamp around the bottom half of legs sometimes. I thought I had died at one point because of all the sensations. Anyone out there who has a duplicate or similar NHS number or has these symptoms and hasn't the correct blood test results keep fighting .I had to fight to get mine.

Ask your doctor about Methimazole , I had hyperthyroidism and this medication put my thyroid levels back in check and I gained my weight back , but after using it for a while , I went into hypothyroidism , it felt like I had 500 pound weights on each arm pulling me down , so the VA doctor decreased the dosage , and I started to feel pretty normal and then my thyroid hormone levels stayed in check , so they stopped the medication , that been about 5 years ago and my levels are still in check , had a VA semiannual check up and everything looks good .

Weird. I’ve eating less but my TSH level dropped from 1 to 0.35. I do feel more prone to anger/stress now. This happened within 10 days of the Phizer vaccine. Any pattern of this in the population that’s not being talked about much?
ME TO RIGHT AFTER TAKING THAT PHIZER VACCINE. I TOLD MY DOCTOR ABOUT HE SAID THERE IN NO LINK. BUT I NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH MY THYROID BEFORE; MY BLOOD WORK WAS OFF I HAD NEVER SEEN THAT BEFORE. GOD IS GOING TO FIX IT.
@@vspann12 my platelets are much lower now too. Always were 175-200 even up to one week prior to the vaccine. A month after phizer and they’re now 135 which is supposedly thrombocytopenia. I brought this up to the Dr and he said not to worry about it and there’s no link to the vaccine.

The first symptom, heat, it's somewhat close to what I'm feeling, each time I walk or play basketball my face gets as red as a tomatoe, lab results show a very low TSH so I think I will have to reduce levothyroxine dosage.

I think I have this. I have every symptom but I’d not loose the weight and I don’t have bulging eyes. My doctor say that it’s after effects from being sick 2 months ago but I don’t think so. The medicine doesn’t help. I don’t loose weight but gain. I have realized that even with working out 4 days a week for 1 and a half hours to 3 hours. I have gained weight. Check your TSH. If it is low, then not good. You can also check free T4 and it would be elevated as well. Look into LDN as it is a very good drug for Hashimoto's.

I have almost all of the sign and symptoms 😢 except for bulging eyes... only excessive tearing. I am on medication and doing blood works every week and once a month and my doctor sees improvement on my t3 results..and next week is my schedule for nuclear test, praying that all will goes well and hoping for a full recovery from hyperthyroidism. @@lppa24 yeah I believe I may have this condition and taking a B complex really helped me. Im guessing I was deficient on B1 as I my heart beat was extremely powerful and I felt it in my chest even when I was nervous. If anyone is feeling like they have this condition try out a supplement like the yeast as it could really help. Check with a doctor before taking.
Thanks so much for the info! I've went from 240 to 159, hand tremors ,shaking feelings, get sick feeling puking about 2 or 3 times a day. Eyes hurt, right eye went blurring from apparently cholesterol clogging veins in it. High BP and cholesterol. Among many other signs. Went to the eye doctor, and family doctor this week. Test came back that my thyroid is all messed up. Going back this week for more blood work, and there sending me to a thyroid specialist for testing and chest X rays. I'm only 38, this is scary. I was diagnosed with graves 2 years ago. I have all the symptoms except for bulgy eyes (thank god) . I also had almost permanent psychosis . Thyroid Storm almost killed me . Hang in there . I'm currently trying to balance out my life. Taking pills and finding that balance sucks, but also learning to stay clear from certain foods that aggravate the thyroid is hard too . The thyroid is scary when it's trying to kill you.
I had Graves for years that eventually went into remission...Don't fear and keep working it out. Just as you should avoid some foods, others are good for you. One thing I did was juice cabbage. I did treatments prescribed by a naturopath in addition to the pills prescribed by the endocrinologist. I took PTU then Methimazol. Not sure what led to remission though. Maybe change in lifestyle or the Methimazol.

You are not alone! I am literally just finding this! I am male so it gets misdiagnosed more often in men than women. I been in a bad way for several months straight and am being treated for depression anxiety/panic attacks.. sleep disorder.. pretty much all of these symptoms.. Explained very well , I had all those symptoms and conditions to the Tee , my thyroid levels got put back into check with medication , and and started producing normal hormone levels , but one other thing I noticed is that my eyebrows start to thin out to almost disappearing and the same thing with my eye lashes , then I know hand tremors and other symptoms will start to occur , however , I started taking a B12 supplement , 500 mcg , and that stopped the syncope , but I do still feel like I want to pass out sometime , but it's just the feeling , but when that happens I take several deep breaths , hold them 5 seconds and then release them very slowly , and the passing out feeling goes away .

Also, there are books on Amazon, the one that help to understand the nature of Grave's disease, was the (Medical Medium). It also recommended a variety of supplements that can be taken. The key is to know what vitamins deficiency you have. With can be done by doing blood work. what matters is you are alive. most of these systoms are easily seen from many people. Just because your thyroid either produces more hormones or less. I've been anxious before thinkinh I have these as I never consulted a doctor but I do have all the signs of hyperthyroidism. Now going back to videos like these again as I check myself and realize it's okay rather than taking medications to suppress the thyroid which could lead to a severe disease like kidney failure. There's nothing wrong whether you are hyper or hypothyroid. For years people keep pointing out that I'm anboxiously too thin. Yknow what, it's better than having a chronic kidney disease, diabetes, hypertension or even cancer. So m okay because I didn't choose to have hyperrhyroidism. My body malfunctioned on its own but what I can do is to lessen my anxiety and my diet to not fall into the category of being diabetic, CKD, high blood or a cancer patient because these diseases can be prevented but my thyroid is like that so m just gonna live a healthy lifestyle rather than suppress it witg medications
P.S. I still struggle with these symptons of weighr loss, muscle weakness, anxiety, insomnia no katter how I fix my lifestyke with food and exercise. Trust me I tried even to the point of drinking protein supplements and working out to gain muscles but life is like that. Just accept what your body has given you and try to avoid diseases you can avoid. I’m 31 was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism when I was 26. Haven’t been able to regulate my t3&t4 levels yet my weight loss is up and down I’ll go from 125-130 to 115 in a matter of a few weeks. I have congenital hypothyroidism which means that am thin and i get thinner if i have a chemical or hormonal imbalance. And i am sensitive to extreme temperatures especially cold. Not hot.
You're usually treated for this at birth. I am also cold sensitive, not hot too much i love being hot but I've noticed my tolerance for heat is a lot less.

Recently hospitalized because i have rapid resting heartbeat almost 140 per minute and each time it reaches that high im out of breath and felt like im almost faint, blood works shown i have hyperthyroidism and dr starts medication since then, i still have heart palpitations but the beats now slow down under 100 resting. I thought I was having a heart attacl when it was so bad, I felt generally sick and have low grade fever for weeks on end. Now I feel well and stable.

@Sherifatu Alhassan discuss with your dr, sometime propranolol dose needs to be adjusted maybe increase, dr have lowered mine but they increase it again as the reading still quiet high for resting heart rate. Now it is around 80s range.

@Sherifatu Alhassan im still on carbimazole (lowest dosage) and still on propranolol but i got others health issues too which could triggers thyroid storms so i have to takes other medications (i.e additional high blood pressure meds, iron medications and some others)

A true omg moment. I have been complaining to my doctor for 18 months that I'm having POTS like problems. She totally stuck her head in the sand and failed me. My free t4 is low at .62 and my TSH is high at 13.42. it was 3.23 in March of 2024. Ahhhhh. Plus she won't put me on a CGM even though my AC1 is 5.6, which I know isn't over the "threshold" of early diabetes, but I'm symptomatic. I think she's trying to kill me. I'm full carnivore with no carbs at all. No caffeine, no nada... something is causing dehydration and so on.

Been on Synthroid for hypothyroidism for 20 years. Tsh levels well balanced at around a tsh of 1.5. Menopause hit this year, and suddenly I have become severely hyperthyroid. Tsh was .05 at first bloodwork. Was getting constant pins & needles in arms and legs, and extremely tired, and yes hot all the time. Attributed these symptoms to menopause at first so not sure how long I was hyper for as it had been at least 6 months since my previous bloodwork. Doc lowered my Synthroid dose, and did more bloodwork after 6 weeks. Still hyper at .22 but better. Lowered dose again. Checking back again after 6 weeks. Really hoping to get this sorted out soon because I am experiencing constant aching legs now, and I am worried that it may be Myopathy. Ny legs ache night and day. I am taking Tylenol for the pain every day.
Strange thing is though that I did not lose weight. I actually gained weight. I was definitely eating more, and I think I was too tired and in discomfort to do any exercise.

The leg thing in beriberi disease is horrendous. It feels like someone has a metal clamp around the bottom half of legs sometimes. I thought I had died at one point because of all the sensations. Ask your doctor about Methimazole , I had hyperthyroidism and this medication put my thyroid levels back in check and I gained my weight back , but after using it for a while , I went into hypothyroidism , it felt like I had 500 pound weights on each arm pulling me down , so the VA doctor decreased the dosage , and I started to feel pretty normal and then my thyroid hormone levels stayed in check , so they stopped the medication , that been about 5 years ago and my levels are still in check , had a VA semiannual check up and everything looks good .

Weird. I’ve eating less but my TSH level dropped from 1 to 0.35. I do feel more prone to anger/stress now. This happened within 10 days of the Phizer vaccine. Any pattern of this in the population that’s not being talked about much?

@@vspann12 my platelets are much lower now too. Always were 175-200 even up to one week prior to the vaccine. A month after phizer and they’re now 135 which is supposedly thrombocytopenia. I brought this up to the Dr and he said not to worry about it and there’s no link to the vaccine.

The first symptom, heat, it's somewhat close to what I'm feeling, each time I walk or play basketball my face gets as red as a tomatoe, lab results show a very low TSH so I think I will have to reduce levothyroxine dosage.

I think I have this. I have every symptom but I’d not loose the weight and I don’t have bulging eyes. My doctor say that it’s after effects from being sick 2 months ago but I don’t think so. The medicine doesn’t help. I don’t loose weight but gain. I have realized that even with working out 4 days a week for 1 and a half hours to 3 hours. I have gained weight. It isn’t much but it is 3 pounds. I’ll list all of my symptoms and if anyone has any idea what it is please let me know. My doctors have treated it as; vertigo, migraines, anxiety/stress, and it being after effects of a Nero virus

Check your TSH. If it is low, then not good. You can also check free T4 and it would be elevated as well. Look into LDN as it is a very good drug for Hashimoto's.
