    It is true that learning Portuguese is not easy. The use of prepositions in Portuguese is very difficult. Most of the information available on the Internet is from other countries, such as Brazil. I found your tips for learning real Portuguese very simple, lively and straightforward. I was very worried about the use of prepositions. But now I find it much easier. I am really thankful to you. I hope you will share more and more such videos. Finally, respect, love and thanks.

    You're an excellent teacher, Mia. This lesson was very helpful, and though you've touched upon the unstressed a (in 'a 500 metres'),could you please clarify even more clearly the difference between the stressed 'à' and the unstressed 'a'?

    Olá Mia. Não sei a diferença entre '-mos' e '-nos' no final de alguns verbos no plural. Gostaria uma explicação se possível. Também gostaria de assistir vídeos com tudo falado em português e velocidade normal. Muito obrigado por tudo.

      Olá Sergio :)
      Obrigada pelo teu comentário!
      A diferença entre -mos e -nos é que -mos é "me + os". Imagina: Ele deu os óculos a mim - He gave the glasses to me. Podes substituir por: Ele deu-me os óculos (He gave me the glasses) ou ainda mais Ele deu-mos (He gave them to me).

    I have a queation.
    I wanted to say "I hope I can fall asleep tonight" I typed "espero que posso adormecer á noite"
    But when I went to double check it the translator put "espero poder adormecer á noite" can you explain? Is there a difference?

    • @MiaEsmerizAcademy
      @MiaEsmerizAcademy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We do use more the "Espero conseguir (it sounds better) adormecer à noite". It is less formal than "Espero que possa adormecer à noite". It sounds odd when you are speaking about yourself. You would use it more in the subjunctive if you were speaking about someone else, like - Espero que ele consiga/possa adormecer à noite". Hope this helps :)

    I think I'm missing something: I would translate compras as a verb, to buy so how is that a noun? Also, I don't see the word "store" in the sentence so that's kind of confusing as well.

    • @alexanderfelix83
      @alexanderfelix83 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      In this sentence compras is a noun and not the 2nd sing conjugation of comprar because of context. Read it as "I'm going to the buyings" sort of but it translates better as shopping / shops etc

    • @nesitbotica1221
      @nesitbotica1221 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I too am confused by “compras” being a noun.

    What is the difference between verbs viver and morar?

    • @MiaEsmerizAcademy
      @MiaEsmerizAcademy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not a big difference, but “viver” also can mean to live like in being alive.
