Germans did this out of necessity and weren't the only ones. I suppose you haven't seen Pz III chasis turned into TDs by Soviets, or their "literally AT gun on tracked tractor" "designs". Japanese also weren't slacking with their conversions of Chi-Ha and Ha-Go tanks, plus there are examples from WW2 from Eastern Europe and it doesn't stop at the end of WW2... and neither did it start during WW2. Turning previous generation of tanks into recovery and bridge-laying vehicles is common and there are even some 2nd uses that are bordering strange teritory. Firefighters in Slovakia have several converted T-55s (without turret or any guns of course) for the most extreme cases, for example.

out of all of the series, I love this one. It needs more -first APDS -first HESH -first HEATFS round -first dart rounds -first implementation of composite armor -first tank with neutral steering -first rangefinder, especially laser ones probably do it with planes, helis, and ships too i.e. first turboprop, first effective bomb sight or first use of a ballistic computer
reactive armor has always blown my mind a bit. I'm older and it always seemed simple. You just take really good thick steel and put more and more on to make a tank tough to penetrate, but there was always going to be a limit to that. Mainly weight. The fact some genius figured out we don't have to make it as thick if we make it explode was really thinking outside the box
I found the MBT bit interesting. I never really thought about how each tank in ww2 had different roles to play and how today's tanks are designed for almost all scenarios.
My personal favourite development was the invention of modern FPE. Every time a new tank was developed, regardless of if it was an almost 99% match to the previous one, it was 100% impossible to put out vehicle fires. So tank engineers had to find a way to redesign FPE having presumably burnt all design prints of the already existing ones upon the new tanks arrival.

I think the biggest breakthrough could be maybe one more tank in the the Italian tech tree at 7.3? I'd guess it would be an American tank, as the Italians have been flooded with. I'd really love to get maybe one German tank in 4.7 or 5.0ish. I picked the wrong tree as a new player and stuck with it ever since, but I notice it is an amazing tree, but could use a bit more of variety in my opinion.

Without low-tier vehicles to provide a complete path from reserves to top gear, I doubt South Africa will ever see its own tech tree. However, Gaijin may go, "reserves to top gear no longer matters," at some point, though, so nothing's impossible.

Ingame? I already did this, once a brit used his 183 mm doom cannon in Toptier and I was sending the russian 125 mm HE in his barrel - from slightly above him. But I don't know if the explosion was really going though the breach or just sending waves to ammo the usual way.

I have to say the stabilizer in the Sherman’s are pretty crazy ... I am curious about one thing tho ..what determines some one to get a kill ... example if Shoot some ones plane and it starts burning and the loose tail control so they are heading str8 to the ground... but before they get there some one else comes and shoots them and kills the pilot they get the kill ... how is that determined.. I’m curious because I have a lot of newer players that are quitting the game due to this reason there saying there kills are being stolen

the first vehicle with termal vision in real life is 9.0 BR, but late vehicles like centauro and type 89 is 8.0

Side skirts are pretty amazing imo, stops AT rounds and makes incoming shots weaker...sometimes

Why won't you let them show those vehicles? :( People played for them, people have them, people play with them. They are IN the game. They don't add vehicles that weren't constructed and used in some way (driven and shot).
Since these vehicles are still usable, they should be allowed to show what they have made for the game. I don't really understand why they won't also show off event vehicles which were made(in youtube videos).

The panther II has night vision however in terms of BR the M41A1 was first and has night vision at 6.0

I have to say the stabilizer in the Sherman’s are pretty crazy ... I am curious about one thing tho ..what determines some one to get a kill ... example if Shoot some ones plane and it starts burning and the loose tail control so they are heading str8 to the ground... but before they get there some one else comes and shoots them and kills the pilot they get the kill ... how is that determined.. I’m curious because I have a lot of newer players that are quitting the game due to this reason there saying there kills are being stolen

its a Panther II, gaijin removed it so now us newer players can't get it, also the night vision device on it is called a FG 1250.
