    Running 2° camber rear with 0.2 toe on each wheel and 1° camber front with 0 toe and 6.45 caster. With Öhlins coilovers and 17" wheels with 225/45 front and 255/40 rear, the car feels great and predictable, love this setup.

      Less camber in the front is going to make the car understeer and be very edgy at the limit if you do try to do hooligan stuff with it.

      @@TheSlipAngle I ran Quinns identical alignment on my rx8 and it was amazing! Ended up selling that and now im into the miata life. Lol
      But my question is what do you recommend for the nb miata for alignment? (mostly max grip wanted)

    It's hilarious that I have my S2000 on jackstands since last weekend, because I can't press out the rear balljoints in place with the ball joint press kit. I've finally decided to take the hub out, which I haven't done yet, and here you post this video.
    Edit: SOB, now that I see how you hammered it out I realize I couldn't press it out because I was trying to push it the wrong way. Didn't realize it has a lip. Bruh...lol Thanks!

      Don't stress it. It was a learning process for us as we got in there as well!

    Would heartily recommend the Karcepts sway bars, front and rear, to really fine tune things.

      To think I bought this car in 2011 for 9800.00 USD...crazy what they go for now.

    If you want to go the easy route, the compliance and shock bushings are the only ones that need to be changed. You go full spherical because race car. The benefits are lost unless you start putting aero on the car, to really load the suspension with slicks. Then it makes sense to have less compliance in the bushings.

  • @slowinfastout3304
    @slowinfastout3304 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think doing this will reduce body roll and make the rear looser. The benefit of increased shock travel will only be apparent while going straight

    • @TheSlipAngle
      @TheSlipAngle  ปีที่แล้ว

      It will benefit while corning helping keep contact with the pavement when there are bumps or uneven surfaces mid corner.

    Is there a market for a shop camera that can be operated with gloves etc. that isn’t just a go pro?

  • @rolandotillit2867
    @rolandotillit2867 ปีที่แล้ว

    It depends on what tires you're running and what pressures you want to run. S2000 likes 3-3.5 in the front and 2-2.5 in the rear.

    • @TheSlipAngle
      @TheSlipAngle  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's exactly where I wound up with alignment. Couldn't get less than -2.3 out of the rear.

      @@TheSlipAngle Lowering the car makes it hard to get the rear under 2 degrees.

    When are you gonna install the real race car parts? I wanna see a Dragon Ball shift knob, heart shaped tow hook and spikey lugs nuts!

      No it's not. Just want a proper driver's car that has flexibility to be driven in a multitude of ways

      I like it, it definitely bumped mid range for me. Their new design looks great too and is something I'd eventually like to try.

    You have a great channel but I feel like you talk way too much. I'm skipping most of the speaking as its normally just a bit of waffle. Really rate the driving and mods you do to all the cool cars. Have subscribed so keep up the good content.
