- In our first video from Fortaleza we walk by one of the main beaches in Fortaleza called Iracema beach and show you this gorgeous neighbourhood. Next we visited the public market and lastly we tried some of the typical delicious juices from the local fruit. Hey Silvio, thank you for watching our video. Honestly, you were not off. After traveling in Brazil for a while I also see that anyone can be Brazilian 🤣🤣 In the north and center of the country you mostly have people with darker skin color and hair color, and as you go further south you will see more blondes and lighter skin colours. But then there are Korean and Japanese communities in Brazil as well as middle easterns and a lot of Europeans too.

Well we were not in Brazil during Covid and only came here after in 2022. Usually if you are spending in USD or Euros it should be cheaper than most of the other western countries. Now we find we are still paying a lot for accommodation because we are constantly booking short term stays. If you stay in one place and sign a long term lease, then your accommodation cost will be much less too. One more thing that is very important is the city where you stay. We now see that Maceió was extremely expensive when it came to restaurants, Rio is not cheap either and we hear all over the country that São Paulo is also expensive. On the other hand, we felt that Fortaleza and Natal were very reasonable when it came to cost benefit analyses. In general you will be spending around 30-40% less than in western countries and in some cases you may be able to reduce it to even around 60% less if you stay in a smaller city.

14:09 Who told you that there is almost no rain at all in Fortaleza, lied to you. There is a time in the year when there's a lot of rain, and the city gets really chaotic.

@global_citizens , and about the sirio-lebanese population in Ceará, most of them came between XIX and XX centuries. Most of them were Christians who scape political and religious persecution in the Middle East. Most of them also did great and turned out to be successful businessmen.
The truth is that Fortaleza has almost 365 days a year of sun shining, because even in the rainy season, despite the rain of course, the Sun still shows itself later on. Some hotels used to give a discount for each day the Sun wouldn't show itself up during a raining day.
