As a Japanese growing up in the U.S., I was literally amazed how you guys SHOT and EDITED those videos while following and respecting Japanese culture/manner, which is often unfamiliar to foreigners!!!! Like blurring Japanese people in the background and rolling cameras at places without Japanese people (even at Disneyland, which is super difficult!!!!). I truly appreciate you guys taking extra time for such careful consideration and choices and making such beautiful videos!!!
Agreed!! I was so impressed by this as well!
Yes definitely agreed I also wish more people in America would adopt the same respect and standards as in Japan as well
I love how Mammoth has expanded out of the Orlando parks and shows us other amazing destinations!
So cool.
I love their travel vlogs, I wanna see them go everywhere. ❤
I love that the channel is expanding outside theme parks! Would love if this trend continued in the future 💖
100% this! I really got into Molly's content when planning the family trip but as somebody who won't be planning another Disney vacation for some time it's so nice to see the content keeping up with my travel interests!
Would absolutely love to see MAM have more international travel in its future. Especially with how respectful and appreciative you were 🧡🩵🩷
I'm going to LA in January from Japan, and since I'm going to Disneyland there, I was searching for some video on TH-cam and reached to this channel.
Coincidently, right after watching some of your content and starting to learn things about Disney in US, you guys started to post videos in Japan.
Surprisingly, I'm really enjoying watching these Japan series, and it really brings me joy seeing how you all seem to have had a good time here in Japan!!
I so appreciate the respect and reverence you have for Japanese culture and customs. Thank you for bringing this content to us, especially in a way that respects the important places you visited.
I went to Japan last year as soon as they opened their borders. It was my favorite trip ever. I loved the Kyoto shrines and I came across so many friendly cats roaming the fushimi inari shrine. I got to pet them and hold them. Apparently those cats are also considered messengers from the Inari god. ❤
I went to Japan 5 years ago and still dream about that peach water on a regular basis. That and Pocari Sweat 😍
I like the way you kids roll. Theme parks make a great way to ease into Japan. And then tourist locations and public transit. Now you are rested and ready to actually connect with the country's culture.
My daughter lives in Japan. She has told me how Americans are so disrespectful and she’s right!
I did enjoy your vlog on Kyoto. The breathtaking view of the woods temples and the mountains. It’s just gorgeous! I forward to next on your experiences. Thank you mammoth club.
“The city of 10,000 shrines” - such a beautiful place. Live the dream, y’all! ⛩️
Wow Molly got “大大吉”!! Congrats!!
(Big big blessing or very good luck)
Kyoto is a bucket list for me. Thanks for bringing us along
Kyoto is absolutely the most beautiful place we ever went to in Japan. So glad you guys got to experience it. Makes me so happy to see how much you guys love, appreciate and respect the culture that I also fell in love with.
Vive la différence! TH-cam needs Mammoth Club to explore all sorts of places. This was delightful and so relatable. The world is your oyster.
Mammoth Club Worldwide 🇯🇵🍜🏯🎎 Loving the travel/cultural content! Great addition to the channel
Just want to voice my big support here for non theme park content. While I'll always value your bread and butter work in the parks the mammoth club experience (tm) is what I'm signed up for.
I have been trying to convince my wife to go to Japan forever. So I am eagerly awaiting your next videos so that I can bombard her with more Japan content. Thank you for taking the time to create these while on, what looks like, a beautiful adventure.
I’m really enjoying these Japan videos. Such a beautiful country with so much to see and experience. Thank you for sharing your trip with us.
The beauty and the beast ride/room had me thinking “hm yeah I prob have to go to Japan one day now”, but the savory pancake restaurant + record store w Japanese country music made me think: “OK NOW I MUST GO THERE ONE DAY.” Magic. 😍
Centuries, Molly. Not decades. They have been playing that music for centuries. The fifteenth great grandparents of those musicians played that music. And if you’ve ever seen memoirs of a geisha, little Chiyo runs through that shrine to leave the change from the sweet ice the chairman bought her in prayer.
The expressions on your faces when you got all your street food says it all and how good it was.
One day i will get there. It's really great to see all 3 of the MAMMOTH CLUB being touristy.
My sister-in-law and husband lived in Japan for 6 years and we were fortunate enough to visit twice, first in 2014 and then 2016. The increase in English between the 2 trips was astounding as they prepared for the Olympics and Rugby World cup. We visited lots of smaller towns in addition to Kyoto, Nara, Osaka. If you continue up after the turn off to head back, the air feels fresher, the beauty of the forest feels wider and the steps become steeper - but the Japanese conquer it like nothing. Ladies well past their 70's (and probably even a decade on) float up in those clog type slip on heels. Their grace was unreal. I sensibly stuck to takkies (South African word for sneakers) pronounce "tack keys" but but quickly over the two "k's"
Lovely seeing kyoto again
Theme parks are great fun. But Japan is very far away and has so much else to offer.
Shrines that inspire reverence. Convenience stores that amaze in their own way
Please show us more!
Love it so much when you venture away from Disney. Dont get me wrong, I require every brand new festival review, but this is so special.
Incredible!!! You are great representatives for MAM FAM. So respectful and appreciative of the overwhelming history there. Thank you so very much for taking the time to film and share with all of us!
I love all the Disney and Universal content but this video was INCREDIBLE! Kyoto looks absolutely breathtaking and has been added to my already long list of bucket list places I would like to visit.
I fell in love with Molly's content while planning my family's trip to Disney World, but not having any plans to go back anytime soon I didn't feel like the content was speaking to me anymore. The fact that they have content other than Disney stuff that still speaks to my interests (general travel) is great! Might not pull in the same view counts at first but if they do enough to build up a good playlist I'm sure the branching will pay off for them! (of course it helps to throw a little bit of Disney in there 😂)
This was cool to see for me as i may never get to travel to Japan. Everything was beautiful & I enjoyed learning through you guys. ❤
Loving this Japan content! I also visited Kyoto last month! I will say - my Japanese family (some of whom are religiously Shinto and Buddhist) only throw in 5 yen coins when they pray 😂😂😂 However, really thankful that you guys were respectful of the religious sites - there are a lot of American tourists that unfortunately don't research before they go
This gives me such as visceral memory of backpacking through Europe. We didn't have Google maps or smart phone or any cell phones at all. We had one, Alan-like, friend who was good with directions, while we were horrible. We followed him around like baby chicks. He could have led us into a swamp and we wouldn't have known any better. We survived thanks to him. Cheers to him and the other Alan friends in the world, keeping their friends alive.
BEAUTIFUL video.....Japan is NOT overrated i the least. Absolutely amazing country. I feel that you could spend months there and never get bored. I would love to do Sapporo and Fukuoka. Truly awe inspiring country.
One of my favorite cities I've ever been to. The blend of new and old is perfect in Kyoto. So excited to see you guys enjoy and so excited to return to these places again some day.
I loved this video. I would watch a 4 hour video of the 3 of you traveling. ❤
My uncle and aunty live in Kyoto and he says it’s the most beautiful part of Japan! This video really highlights the beauty ❤
Can’t wait to visit Japan. Y’all have inspired me.
Molly that was perfect for you keep persevering.
I think this is one of my favorite Mammoth club videos ever. So excited to see the rest of your Japan adventures and any other world travels you decide to share!
Consider me influenced- I want to go even more now - you all deserve this so much ❤
Living the life - so awesome! Now I am wondering how many places did you end up going? Those Zen gardens. Ah. I am SO hungry watching all of this food! I think you should have done all 10,000 gates... I spend at least that much time watching youtube - mammoth club!
Kyoto is absolutely stunning! Thanks for sharing your adventures with us! ❤
Why did I cry watching you do the water ceremony?! Ugh I hope all your wishes come true.
This was amazing! I can’t wait to see more of your trip!
When my dad was in the navy, we lived in Yokosuka for 4 years. Watching your videos of your time in Japan makes me yearn to go back. I can't believe it's been nearly 30 years since we left Japan. Every time I'm at EPCOT, I spend the most time at the Japan pavilion.
Not sure why parts of this made me emotional ❤❤
We were in Japan last April. Our route was almost same, we started from Osaka to Kyoto and Tokyo. It was beautiful and such a unique experience. Thanks for reminding us those precious days.
Yay! More Mammoth Club travel videos!
21:52 I saw that former-cast
-member-finger-point 😆
Some of our best surprisingly good food finds in Japan was at 7-Eleven! Kyoto is such an amazing city and reminded us of our trip there a few years ago. Disney, Universal, travel, and food - really enjoying this fantastic content and series. Thank you MAM!
I went to Fushimi Inari at golden hour and it felt so other wordly. It was amazing.
Every station has it’s own little jingle. You can buy little keychains that play the tunes from each station (at least you could last time I was there).
Kyoto is a gorgeous city. I spent 3 weeks in Japan last month and I miss it already.
Thanks for this amazing video Molly, Alan, and Max! I love all of your content because you guys do such a great job of providing helpful tips and tricks, no matter where you are! This video could not have been more perfectly timed because my husband and I are currently in Tokyo (also staying at Hotel Indigo in Shibuya!), and on our way to Kyoto! We did Tokyo Disney Sea yesterday and loved it. Your videos are the best. Thank you for all your hard work researching, filming and editing your content. You guys are awesome.
that tub of butter would have been the perfect snack on the train home after a long day of seeing the sights lol
Everything in this video was absolutely mind blowing. Getting to experience the true culture of Japan as friends must have been so freaking amazing, and I think we are all very thankful we get to follow along with this adventure too
I’d love to see you guys on the amazing race!!
Oh my goodness this was so magical. ❤😢❤😢
What a great video. Love everything about this. Now, I want to go to Kyoto. ⛩️
Thank you for taking us along on this gorgeous excursion through Kyoto! Stunning ❤
Wow. Rome would really blow your mind. They still use buildings and roads over 2000 years old. And they built a new ancient building, aka the 'typewriter', so you can see what the city would have actually looked like in 100. The scale is mindblowing.
Japan is on our bucket list so thank you for this! Also the little dance that Max does when he's eating something he likes is adorable :)
Thank you for my beautiful trip down memory lane. Studied in Asia n college and Kyoto was my favorite place in Japan.
I'm currently desperately trying to avoid watching your Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea videos so I don't spoil myself when I finally cross them off my bucket list...and these Kyoto and Tokyo videos are a perfect distraction LOL. Kyoto in particular looks so beyond beautiful 😍
I love this. You all made this video in such a respectful way and Kyoto looks amazing. Now it is on my bucket list. Thank you for broadening my destination possibilities ( if I am ever lucky enough to do any of them ) xx
awesome video. You certainly have a future is travel documentaries as well as disney. Love it.
Really surprised and happy to see y'all went to Kyoto. Its definitely on my bucket list.
Love this video- definitely want to visit Japan in future
Very awesome video I loved seeing all you can do in Japan can’t wait to see the other videos you have from Japan 💚
That fox temple built in 794 was the inspiration for Fox McCloud and the 1st star fox game. You fly through gates just like the gates at the temple.
Learned a lot! Thank You!
A huge fan of you all, & your videos. While I love Disney and all the theme parks videos you create, I’m so happy to see the more historical and cultural aspects of countries and places you visit as well. Please keep making and sharing videos like this as well :)!
Molly - you got "dai dai kichi" which is really high luck!!
Gorgeous video! I love the non theme park travel vlog!
I love this!! I love traveling with you guys!
This was wonderful and so beautiful to see! Thanks for bringing us along!
This is one of your best episodes yet! Truly fascinating.
What a lovely start to a Sunday after a long holiday week. Stunning! 🥰
Rewatching Japan content while we await for the new content!
Bullet trains are mind boggling! We took some in Italy, crazy! They had some trains out in Rome or near Venice....that had how fast they went on them....Terrifying, lol. They had just unveiled a new one that went the fastest speed, approaching several hundred miles per hour..like 3 or 400 or some crazy number, I would not be in that one, lol. Our like 200mph one to get to Venice was more than fast enough! Loved seeing these videos!!
Thank you so much for giving us a glimpse of your travels! Japan is absolutely breathtaking. It's always been on my bucket list. Much love to y'all! Can't wait to see the rest of your adventures from this trip!
Thank you for taking me to places where I probably will never get to visit. I love this so much!
Sooooo cooool! Thanks guys!
Love watching your Tokyo adventures. Literally using them as a planning guide from my daughter's upcoming graduation trip this summer. Also, to watch you experience this for the first time brings me so much joy.
Loved this! So informative! Thank you!
That’s it Molly. I’m saving to go to Japan. I love your videos can’t wait to watch more videos about your trip ( this is the first one I’ve seen) you guys are amazing. ❤
Love Julie from U.K. 🇬🇧currently in hospital recovering from surgery and you guys have brightened my day today so thank you so much for doing what you do. Xxx
What I have been waiting for!!! Absolutely stunning day and video…. Can’t wait to go next year!!✈️🇯🇵🏯🍜🍡🍣🎌
I am so appreciative that you brought us along on your adventures outside the theme parks. This is an amazing country (visited many many years ago) and the temple areas are amazing. It was really special to hear the background info about the customs and how to approach some of the things you did. Look forward to the rest of the Japan videos!
This video was incredible to watch and felt kind of inspiring! You guys are my favorite people ever!
Absolutely love your videos and would love to see more travel ones with the 3 of you! Your friendship is so lovely!
What an amazing experience. I am loving this Japan content.
Fantastic! Thank you for sharing. 😍🌞🌻
There is actually a reason as to why there are no public trash cans, found out from some videos before
Great video! ❤ This is ny fav channel. I love the respect shown.
Well done with filming I have never been there looks amazing
I'm so glad you made it to Kyoto and especially Kiyomizu-dera. That shot you took at 19:47 is one of the most beautiful shots to take when the cherry blossoms are in bloom! I've only done that once but it's an amazing thing to see!
We love Kyoto. My husband wants to spend a month there next time.
Loving this trip series Tokyo Disney and Japan is on my bucket list. 💐
loved this video!!!
Love this!
