I'd like to see Penny just once give a straight answer. A good start to aiding Ukraine would be to divert UNWRA funds directly and indirectly through Australian military manufacturing. Not rocket science Penny, you make it look hard.

Russia and Ukraine war is more of European issues as its on their doorstep. Australia is 10.000 miles away who can't even get a ship built for our own navy to defend our own borders. The cost of living crisis Australia faced under this labor government. We shouldn't be giving any aid away. Helping everyone eles out while our nation suffers financially and can't even defend ourselves. Fix home issues up first, then worry about what we can support elsewhere is what Australia should be doing.
    P. Wong being sarcastic the way she interrupted the senator. Australia dont need a politician like that. Very unprofessional the way she answered and body language isn't appropriate. She should resign. If she can't respectfully answer questions, then she dont deserve to have her position in government

Why on earth are we funding anywhere else, These clowns have increased taxes so much that it has crippled most business to the point of extinction, then we end up with NO WORK. All that seems to be available is government paid positions, and where does the money come from. Australia must come first, that and other conflicts have nothing to do with us, is has become a case of just giving money away to be wasted on the wrong things.

There are enough Ukrainians dead already without sending those flying coffins! We offered the F/A18 hornets, they rejected them and after awhile came back to see if they could get them after all, NO was the answer they received. Ukraine had a chance in 2022 to end this, they backed out because promises were made to them that couldn't be kept!

I think Australia's responsibility to provide help in the rebuilding of Ukraine is greatly limited when compared to our involvement and culpability in Afghanistan and Iraq. I'm not saying we shouldn't support a Ukraine rebuild at all, however we need to accelerate the build of social housing in Australia, especially considering all the news surrounding the private sector's continuing and projected failure to produce anywhere near the required numbers.
