The part where we learned about the true life of Ben and how it really went had me crying the whole way. I'm not even kidding there wasn't a second where I wasn't bawling my eyes off and I still am.

Damn, so the whole art career was just his imagination. Everything up until the liar birds starting chirping was just a lie. He died young and just imagined that whole other life.
I mean, that’s the point of the Game. Instead of dreaming of a famous and perfect life we will never achieve, we have to look back and see that we already had the best life possible.

Memento mori. that is the over all theme of this game. in fact the symbols for it are everywhere in the game. the skull, the wilting flower in the vase, and the hour glass can be seen everywhere. it means remember death, and its a complex concept that inevitability of death brings beauty and purpose to life and that we must live every day to the fullest as death grows ever near and this game captures that concept fully perfectly.
I cried 3 times during this, The cats and the Cayotes (sorry if spelt wrong), the mothers funeral and lastly when the dad wants to try and remember the mothers presence in the room so he can feel that she is there again. All around my favourite game of all time! Thank you for uploading. :,)

I cried way more at this than any other piece of art, and I really hope that the devs make another game like this.

I didn't think I would cry at this tbh,,,, I was completely wrong
My niece is 7 years old and she's become very interested in everything I do, reading comic books, playing unusual and indie videogames, etc. so from time to time I let her pick a comic book or a videogame to play together, she mostly chooses because of the cover, and so she did with this. Damn... what an experience we had with this, crying our eyes out together. Thanks to the devs, I could tell this really stimulated her emotional growth.
This game had me crying within the first flashbacks. I'm a sucker for this kind of stuff, and just the thought of seeing my mother's face again as a ghost had me sobbing. Needless to say I was an absolute wreck by the end of the game.
I love my mama, and the thought that one day she'll be gone breaks my heart.

everyone said this game made them cry and I thought I was just missing something until the end and it hit me like a truck. 11/10 experience.

And not just because of the foreshadowing coyote bit. But because of a sinking feeling inside.
At least, he lived a happy life. That's not something everybody gets. All that matters was that he was happy, he accepted it.

This game isn't showing the heart of the character, it's showing the insight of the person playing 😢, I've watched one female and now one male and I could tell which was which without even knowing, it shows emotional awareness 😢 outstanding, so real honest so human ❤.
When the wolf guy told the gatekeeper that before her sat the soul of a child who died before he could grow old I felt an immediate hut of tears to my eyes and the ending story his mom told him before he died makes me wanna cry so bad and I usually don't cry

With a webcam by blinking and problems with it desyncing the final bit kept "skipping" between the mom and the ferryman saying the exact same thing but at the same pace so nothing was missed and there were no pauses in the story.

I'm a very emotional person but this is the hardest I've cried to a game or to anything at all that wasn't just me overthinking
I don't why it's so heartwarming. I don't know why it makes me cry. I just know that there's something in it that's just so blatantly normal, so life-like that it makes me realize that the unknown is exactly what we desire and that we should embrace it, even though it's scary.
