I love the fact that Jack very clearly saw that the telescope was pointed directly at the sun, but looked anyway.
25:10 the amount of time that sean sustained this pirate impression is hilarious
I love how Jack gets so excited when he solves a puzzle, it honestly brings brightness to my day ^^ love ya jackyboy stay hydrated and take brakes when you need it!
I think his car always needs brakes!
I love brakes
@@frankhuurman3955 he shouldn’t steal brake pads either🤣

Jack: *mimics pirates*

Jack and the CariSeán
I love how the game draws with a crayon like you're a child
Fun fact: pirates wore an eye-patch because they looked at the sun with a sextant (navigation instrument which is used by looking at the sun, moon or star).
I love The Witness, and heard about this parody on Reddit. My boyfriend and I have been playing through the original game, and checking to see what laser towers we've solved, so that we can gush about the way we found our solutions. It's not a co-op game, but it's so interesting as we discuss and learn about each other's problem solving thought processes! It takes some patience though. Definitely not a game you can fully experience in one sitting.
And most certainly with a hint or two along the way
@@vampbites89 nope. We have a "no hint rule" between us, and we haven't looked up any walkthroughs. To me, that sucks the fun out of a game. It's so satisfying when the light bulb pops on and I figure something out. I love the challenge, and still haven't finished the game! 💜
@@DS-oopa then you are a smarter person then I lol. I only did it once or twice when I was really stuck, but for the most part I did it on my own.
@@vampbites89 you can do it! When I'm stuck, I step away from it, or move to another area. There have definitely been some puzzles that took my noggin for a joggin, but it usually takes looking around for a different perspective, taking a break, or revisiting the first puzzle that taught you the rules to make sure you understood them correctly. It's a challenging game, but I think anyone can do it if they set their mind to it and take time to learn what each puzzle is trying to teach you! 💜🫂
ETA: I'm really good at finding the environmental puzzles, and my boyfriend isn't. However he's been roasting me because I'm stuck on some of the treehouse puzzles, and he's finished them! 🤣
@@DS-oopa trust me, it took me literal years to actual finish that game and I had to go back to other areas constantly lol. I’m actually replaying and am stuck in the desert temple. My main problem is that I get motion sick from first person games so sometimes I literally can’t play it. I’m ok with some of the environmental puzzles but some (like those stupid boat ones) kick my butt.
This game is one of the most clever I’ve played, glad it’s getting the attention it deserves
17:39* casually calmly looks through telescope at the sun and gets silently scared by the blinding light*
I just want to point out how hard that mini game is at 35 minutes. He absolutely crushed it, but a LOT of people struggle with it. There's an achievement for getting a score above 600, and not many people actually have it.
I love the looker so much, and the fact that its free is so amazing
36:06 "What was the point of you?" "Ponytail" is just a "Braid" reference (both Braid and The Witness were developed by Jonathan Blow)
Jack: This game is more my speed
Me: Come on Jack, you're smarter than THIS
Jack: Looks straight at the SUN through a telescope
😐
This game is one of the greatest shitposts EVER made.
Edit: possibly one of the best jokes in the whole shebang is the audio log about the wealthy ship owner who collected the insurance money. That story is word for word in The Witness until the last few sentences where it goes completely off the rails to end in an "and that kid's name? Albert Einstein." gag, which is a perfect send-up of Jonathan Blow's whole "look at me; i'm smart because I listen to smart things" schtick.
"The booty will be ours, we just have to line her up!" Damn, didn't know Jack transitioned into more pg rated content.
He's always been a glorified Irish R rated film. It's just it's a very long and confusing film, stretching 10 years.
Jack screaming its huge at 43:09 lines up with the punchline very well
this was fantastic, i hope to see more games from Bradley Lovell, he's clearly got gamedev chops!
I don’t know if it’s just me, but I feel like Jack is one of the very few people who can make us laugh in almost every situation. Whether it’s an exciting, boring or scary subject, his sense of humor is never lacking.
Wait at 27:18, the menu is absolutely bonkers.
Going from left to right,

Pulled Long Pork Wrap ("Long Pork" is a way to say human flesh"
I ATE the long pork wrap, with a nice fava bean medley and Chianti…
This game meant... weirdly a lot to me when I played it. The witness because impossible for me as a disabled person to finish, and I felt betrayed by the entire game, that the ending was immeasurably difficult. Then I got this which wasn't painful at all and was just a fun clever romp that made me happy instead of feeling betrayed. I'm glad you got to play it!
"impossible for me as a disabled person" top tier comedy
Betrayed? It's a game, you knew what you were getting into
@@MrLoverman7134what
@@Tyranitar. Well, I don't see how they can really feel "betrayed" by the game when they already knew it was a difficult puzzle game, and that the ending would probably have one of the hardest puzzles
@@MrLoverman7134 You don’t necessarily know any of that going in. All you know is “it’s puzzles!”, and even when it gets harder, you’re not expecting what exactly happens at the very end, you can only assume that it’ll get harder, but you don’t know how it will get harder or how much. You can certainly be betrayed.
What a tragic story. Things that feature main character death (in my experience) are always masterpieces and this gane is no exception. perfectly poetic. I rate it 16/12.
I love it when a game does what you expect it to do, unexpectedly.
I love how the game was too smart for jack instead of the other way around

im SO glad you’re continuing the ‘the witness’ stuff. the witness was the first game i got on my xbox one and now it’s in my top 5 favorite games ever. sometimes i sit on the game just looking at the scenery listening to music.
I never finished it and it became one of my least favorite games, not because it was too hard for me but because of the breathing and footstep sound effects scared me, I was a child and they were creepy to me 😅
27:42 “I like filling them out that way” Jack is still eating from the kids menu
I found this game looking at games similar to the The talos principle (a game I’d also recommend if you like philosophy and nihilistic theories) but I found it and it was beyond hilarious 😁
Ooh yes I'd love to see Jack play The Talos Principle! Love that game!
This game is hilarious, I like how it pokes fun at trying to be philosophical over complex puzzles or games, anyone who makes that big a deal over that sort of thing looks pretentious, and I'm honestly glad other people and game developers agree with that. It's just fun watching and playing something that doesn't take itself too seriously.
*i love how this game just casually changes its genre quick after a scary version of its premise lol*
2:48 this game ruthlessly shitting on every part of the witness is so damn funny

Lol, the ending was poking fun at the end of The Witness. At the end of The Witness, you wake up in the real world and they start trying to connect lines like the game. And like the whole "Oh I was in a coma the whole time" joke, the whole game of The Witness was actually just someone stuck in VR or something the whole time I don't really remember. I enjoyed this, as someone who beat The Witness I couldn't stop laughing at all the jabs at the game. 10/10

This was soooo much fun to watch. I remember getting like 60% through the Witness and saying, jeez this is all over the place. This hit so many memories
Hey Sean, if you still kinda like puzzle games with a bit of story, that are not toooo difficult, you could check out The Talos Principle! It's a really neat puzzle game with original mechanics and very interesting setting / story!
In all the videos I've watched (even from TH-camrs who play puzzle games) Jack is the only one I've seen who legitimately solved the puzzle at 12:59

@@litewave5186 That's exactly it - I could picture the game but I couldn't remember the title. 😄
I'm honestly a little surprised that he didn't realize throughout the whole game that you can't draw on black. That's why you could go straight through half of the green and purple puzzle and you couldn't draw on the checkerboard in the last puzzle
The chest board was fantastic the way the chess fell over on the narrator then the start to end was on the actual chest board really well done
