As I've said before in a comment on one of your other videos Tom, Thank you for making these videos. I've picked up so many tips, and learned so much from watching. I appreciate you so much! And this was a really cool video of you meeting Stefan. I've been subscribed to his channel for a few months now, and have watched most all of his videos as well. Thanks again for what you're doing! Ride safe!
Hello! Appreciate your comment and your support! My goal is always to share information with the hope it will help someone! But at the same time I am also learning so much from the community.
Thank you for this Video. I have the same 2023 Sg CVO and I had an issue with it on a slidy wet highway, despite the fix after the first recall. The bike was on cruse control and slipped a little, but it began to wobble for a few seconds. Harley told me a new recall is up to come to install weights on the front . But anyway, maybe Wilber’s is a smart solution to improve the suspention.
Careful on that Wilbers wobble video. First I would change the front (and rear ?) to Wilbers, as the stock fork setup is to stiff (initially) and has almost no sag. Thereafter if everything is dialed in and set correctly (suspension/tire pressure) and the bike still has a wobble tendency, then do the reinforcement bushing upgrade. As per design, swingarm axle and rear engine mount are the same, you will for sure get noticeable engine vibrations introduced into the frame. Mine had a very little wobble tendency, only with hands free at speeds between 40 and 50 mph, this was caused by mounting a tour pack. So there is normally no simple reason nor a simple fix.
Thank you Stephan for the wise advice. I had a "fix" from harley today consisting of a weight placed on the fork, just under the neyman (Approximately 1 KG). Not very convincing to be honest. I will definitely dig the Wilbert solution.@@stefansgarage3014
@@stefansgarage3014 thank you for the warning. I had a « fix » today with HD. They put a weight (about 1kg) on the front fork, under the Neyman. Very different from the wilber’s fix. But not really convicting. I will dig the opportunity to change front and rear with Wilber’s.
Great to see you two get together!! I am in Steamboat Springs Colorado! I had no idea you were so close to me when we emailed about the issue I was having.
Great video, always enjoy listening to Stephan. I would like to get that same bell for my wife’s new street glide! And you have to admit,Single Malt is the perfect name for that bike!
