Hi Sharon, your video is incredibly helpful! I am working on a Powerpoint and I've been able to caption most of the slides. There are two audio files that are giving me trouble. When I click on them, the "playback" options shows up and I can click on "Add Captions" and "Create Caption" but then nothing happens...the captioning window does not open. Do you know what I might have done here?
Is there a quicker way of doing this? I suspect not but just checking. I have a 4000 word eulogy to read in English that I would like with German subtitles. I know that it could be done "live" as the eulogy is read. Unfortunately this isn't an option for the media company involved in the funeral, so I'm trying to get the subtitles added to the slides and was planning to mute the audio if that makes sense. Thanks in advance for any advice.
Hi Keith - you can also add the German subtitles in the form of Text Boxes (formatted to look like captions) and then use the automations to have them appear and disappear at specific times. This might be quicker than adding them as true captions. I hope this helps! Best of luck to you!
I have a question Sharon. I am making a presentation and I want to add a hyperlink of line of book. I want that if someone click that line or hyperlink it takes the viewer direct to that that highlighted line in the pdf. Is it possible ?
Someone has a video on creating captions while he's speaking, but says you can only do this for a live presentation. I want audio and captions in a recording for an online class.
I followed your instructions and everything seemed to work perfectly. But I did some edits to the captions and now they don't show on every slide...I made sure "Show" was clicked. Also after editing it almost seems that the old caption shows for a fraction of a second at the beginning..Not the end of the world. Just annoying. But losing my captions altogether is a problem. Can you offer any advice? 🙏

Can the speech to text captions provided by power-point 365 be saved to the slides in any way, rather than write a script in advance?
Can I add subtitles for my video recording
