    It’s been 2 years and I have not recovered fully. But i have always kept my positivity with me because if I don’t stay strong then who will? I think my condition affected my family a lot as well. And I 100% agree that once Bell’s palsy hit, you appreciate your smile a lot more and you finally realise it WAS good enough. Just shows how much we beat ourselves up everyday

    I had the same thing a couple of years back out of nowhere... half of my face was paralyzed. I have fully recovered since. I am thankful that it was bells instead of stroke

    This happened to me a few years ago!!! I also thought I had a stroke! I lived like that for 3 months. Couldn't close my eye, speak properly or eat. I was afraid I would be like that forever. I started with acupuncture on my face and after 2 months sessions I improved. That was not a good time of my life. So altogether I had bells palsy for 6 months.

      That is scary. Did the symptoms start immediately after digging your ears? How long did it take you to recover?

    • @CyberMew
      @CyberMew 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      And how much did it cost to recover?

    • @lhv203
      @lhv203 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@CyberMew About $150-250 total. Had a follow up in 1 month with the ophthalmologist to check for any issue with my eye that couldn’t close. I was only prescribe oral steroids and some topical eye drops.

    i had this when i was 12... i woke up brushed my teeth and couldn’t even gurgle water in my mouth i as a kid i didn’t know what it was. went to sch and couldn’t laugh /smile properly and my friends all laughed at me at how weird & funny i looked & i thought i was normal so i laughed with them. i was then admitted to the hospital at night came home with an eye patch cause my eyes couldn’t even close properly and had to wear this for a long time even when i sleep. it was a very tough and scary time, i’m 20 now and the doctors always say that there’s a chance that it might come back again...

    Omg!! I had that 2 years ago, I went to get my eyebrows tattoo, n felt a sharp pain on my left temper for 2 straight days , I asked my daughter if she hv the same painful experience cos she went to the same eyebrows artist . She doesn’t hv that issue by the way. Long story short, I hv diabetes n high blood pressure n didn’t know with conditions like mine, I shouldn’t get any kind of tattoo done , my doctor says that the browns tattoo artist must hv hit a nerve n it short circuit n I end up looking like a Frankenstein;( initially I thou I was having a stroke cos half of my left face just fell, I couldn’t close my eyes n tears kept watering down for no good reason . Food will drop out of my mouth like I hv no control of my facial muscle. Went to see a GP n he sent me straight to Changi hospital . Unfortunately a young intern male doctor was doing a diagnosis on me n he immediately told me it’s a sex disease which is super weird ;( I was really angry cos there is no way in hell that is what this is all about , after demanding another doctor to consult n she almost immediately recognise that it’s balls palsy. Prescribe me one pill of steroid n I was back to normal in less then a week, although my eyes still twitch a little every now n then but I m looking like a normal person now;) we definitely need to know about this cos it strikes u out of the blue n it can’t be really scary.

      Was herpes the ‘sex disease’ the initial doctor mentioned?

    • @j.reneesiow9142
      @j.reneesiow9142 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      To b honest , hmmm that doctor is just an intern , he don’t even know what he is talking about n he didn’t mentioned what type but u can tell he hv a lousy day n trying to b funny by talking nonsense ;( my nerve issue is the cause of my face being like that
