- Road hoggers, hooligans and gangsters? Truck drivers can work for as long as 14-15 hours every day, plying the road across Singapore and Malaysia. Despite working hard for their family, they are often dismissed as road hazards and blamed for causing accidents by other drivers.
Teddy Tora, a trailer truck driver, is also the club president of Abam Abam Trailer Singapura, a community of young heavy vehicle drivers in Singapore. One of the pioneers of the community, Teddy hopes to correct misconceptions and improve people’s perception of truck drivers. As the community grows, he also encourages fellow truck drivers to actively help out with charity work at least once a month.

I have no idea there is a such thing as deko-tora (decoration truck) culture in a place with restrictive road transport policies like Singapore. This is a more welcoming sight compared to those cars with offset rims and wheels.

Truck drivers in Singapore are among the safest drivers! Unlike van drivers who thinks they driving a car, speed here speed there then lost control. But if we’re talking about Msian trucks that comes into Singapore, ahh that one different la.

we must understand these truck drivers grievances. at least on they're initial operatives mode right from the beginning they need a few moment for certain gadget and gauges to filled up before makes their way. thus their rumbling noise is inevitable. to make a turn their manouvering skill is far greater than cars and other simple mobility stances eats up times and our patient. that is why we get iritated sometimes from their behaviour. I am not trying to be hostile here but these profession does had some setback. then without their effort probably the shelves and isles look scarse if not empty.
