*_Doc Rich_* : I can explain the whole vison thing for you, While I can not say for sure if Stevie Wonder was truly blind or not, I never met him. However blind people do have a reflex response such as flinching, dodging oncoming projectiles and even jetting your arm out to catch something. This is because blindness is caused by a disconnect between the eyes and the ocular lobe. However, your brain still sees what's going on, even if you cannot. Reflexes such as what is described earlier are what is known as autonomic functions, meaning they are actions that occur without conscious thought. Breathing, blinking, and basic reflexes are all examples of this. As stated the brain is fully aware of what's going on, even if you are not. but, because without vison you have no context to act upon neither can your brain. Thus it can only respond via autonomic functions. This is likely what happened to Stevie Wonder. But again, I cannot say for a fact because I never met the guy.
