I love those big stitches to secure the binding. I always hand finish the binding but have never tried it this way. It adds another layer of interest to the quilt. Beautiful. The clips to hold down the binding help to lessen hand fatigue. My hands are starting to get a bit sore with age. Thank you for another informative video😊
Pola your hand stitching is wonderful. By the looks of it you have had much experience. I have never used embroidery thread to stitch binding but it is something I will consider. Thanks for the reminder about the colours possibly bleeding and the advice to use colour catchers. I have also not done the stitches on top of the binding but always tried to use the hidden method. I really like what you are showing for the stitching. You are right. It looks more hand done that way and really suits the patchwork quilt. Thank you.
