Love the Racechip on my Mk8 GTI Clubsport. It's fun to install and you can completely remove it if you ever want to sell the car! Looks nice under the bonnet as well together with my Racingline R600 intake and GTI red intake pipe 🙂
It's really smooth, but having something like an R600 intake makes it better. It seems fast enough in sport (the mid boost level on the Racechip) so I tend to leave it on that mode.
Also I'd definitely recommend the app version. I initially had an issue where the cars ecu had lost communication with the turbo boost pressure sensor, but Racechip were able to send over a Software update via the app.
Notice how RaceChip never does 0-100 or 0-62 tests yet many of the comments ask for it even in other comments of their other videos. That’s because a chip box doesn’t make a big difference on the initial 0-100 / 0-62 sprint. So they wont market that.
Das Rad links wird am Limit sein, deshalb kein Wheelspin rechts. Wahrscheinlich nur im teilaktiviertem ESP off Modus. Sieht aber wirklich doof aus und wird wohl rein über Drehzahl geregelt.

Still not a fan of such boxes. With ECU tuning, you can do much more like red line, ignition timing etc, and not only fuel and boost by tricking the car. plus, its about the same price and no TÜV issues because not visible + fully reversable as well
@@Gochsener while that is possible, the tunes that the companies put on their boxes will always stay within safe limits. If they didn't, they wouldn't be confident enough to offer engine warranties for consumer confidence i their product
note however that such power increase influences engines/turbo/ other equipment durability. GTI CS/R have bigger turbo, and sa much as they have the same engines as GTI there are NOT 1:1 exactly the same parts inside. not to mention loosing guaranee
True, really the only reason to get GTI and chip would be if you absolutely wanted a manual as GTI offers that. Otherwise I'd go CS and not risk any warranty issues

I’d really suggest anyone wanting a tune to look elsewhere. Racechip is not really known to be the most reliable in terms of producing real gains. On another note… I really want to get a Mk8 Golf GTI or R, but the more I see the new interior I hate it. It looks so much less expensive than the Mk5, 6 and 7 interiors and I hate VW’s latest infotainment system. It looks stupid with all of the squares being the same color.

Der einzige Nachteil ist, dass man dennoch die Garantie verliert, da die Steuergeräte dennoch die Max Werte speichern, und dort wird Einspritzung und Ladedruck geloggt, kommt es also zum Motorschaden bleibt man auf den Kosten sitzen.

Not really big on the color on this but those rims and exhaust are really nice! Amazing difference in the times from a simple chip tune!

Reversible is debatable, while you can put it back to stock, the change will always be registered in the ECU whereas it won't with a tuning box

Nicht ganz richtig. Das Steuergerät weiß nicht das die Werte durch die Box verändert werden . Heißt das Steuergerät speichert die Originalen werte .

We measured the Clubsport at 5 degrees and this at 30 degrees Celsius. Therefore I would say they deliver same 100-200 km/h times at same conditions.
