- High speed Autobahn run & Launch Control with the all-new 2021 / 2022 CUPRA Leon 300 powered by the 300 hp & 400 Nm 2.0 TSI (total weight: 1490 kg). This car actually has a very similar drivetrain to the Golf 8 GTI Clubsport and we of course wanted to find out if it can reach similar acceleration figures. As said in the video, this car has just reached the 1.500 km mark and there was more wind than usual. But please watch yourself and tell me your thoughts! @@blackcross1988 Ich muss mich auch erst noch dran gewöhnen, das stimmt ^^ Finde ihn aber auf jeden Fall deutlich besser als den Golf, ist ja auch kein Kunst. Fande den Leon 5F aber am Anfang auch nicht so mega, mal sehen wie sich das noch entwickelt.

Its not like they couldnt or wouldnt, but law prohebits "per default" sounds, because if you want to achieve that you can hear them in a good way inside, you gotta make them "very" loud outside. Countrys dont like that. Dont blame the manufactures, blame your government.
@@marcol6268 This wouldn't be a problem if dickheads wouldn't mind RATATATATAing their cars on empty roads outside the city but no they have to RATATATA at 2,3,4 AM in the middle of the city.Rn I live in a house near my city I have no problem but I also stayed in an apartment in the past and belive me idk how physics work but the sound that reached my ears in the apartment was much more amplified than what people hear on the street.Not to mention how quiet it actually is for them in the drivers seat.My friend has a mustang.I told him to rev it while I was inside all I could say was: Meh

Vor allem die 0-100 Zeit ist für ein Auto mit Frontantrieb wirklich gut…auch optisch, vor allem in schwarz, einfach ein geiles Teil welches Ich direkt so nehmen würde :)
Ja die Spec ist der Hammer😜….waren sogar an der Bestellung dieses Autos beteiligt, konnte also nur gut werden😇🤷♂️😅

Good video as usual, thanks! I would also like to see a test drive in traffic in a normal day. Because one almost never really get to drive it in a speed way. I'm interested in knowing how it behaves on city, low speed conditions, lots of breaking in traffic jam, how it behaves in a rainy day, how good is it for handling a hot coffee, music, audio calls, etc.

In der „heutigen“ Zeit tatsächlich ein guter Preis. Vor 5 Jahren hat man für den gleichen Preis halt noch einen Focus Mk3 RS bekommen.
Wo die Preise nur derzeit hingehen, dass ist schon frech. Aber das liegt leider an der immer größer werdenden Leasing-Gesellschaft.
@@electric_benni ja das stimmt wirklich. Heute gibt’s gefühlt kein vernünftiges Auto unter 50.000€ Listenpreis. Dafür werden die halt über Leasing oder Rabatte wiedereingeholt. Naja fände es besser wenn man den Listenpreis direkt mit dem Standardrabatt verrechnen würde. So weiß man nie ob man das beste Angebot bekommt

Hab meinen seit April. Tolles Fahrgefühl, ein permanent williges Gaspedal und hoher Schaufaktor. Der Klang ist definitv besser nach einigen Kilometern, wobei mir hier der Sportmode, ohne Soundakuator am besten gefällt.
Im Vergleich zum Formentor fühlt sich der Leon etwas bissiger an.

Ja, hatte einen RS3 mit 400PS für ein Wochenende von Audi. Der hat 100-200 in etwas über 9 Sekunden gemacht. Zwar VPower getankt, aber dennoch fast zu schnell für nur 400PS

how do you run in the car? I am about to get new S3 and I would use your advise how to properly do it!
Don't go past 3k rpm for the first 1k kms. After that slowly break in the car, but don't push it too hard. I would say after the first oil change you can do whatever you want
Read your cars manual and you will be fine ;) same what i did when i was running in my m2 comp. Everyone says it different just check for the manufacturers advice in it
Drive 500-1000km normal, always warm it up properly and you can push it hard.
Is Cupra Leon good sound isolated ? Golf 8 GTI is a really quiet car in it's class. In Octavia 4 RS you can hear a lot of road/tire noise. What about Leon ?

Ich bin echt etwas verwundert von den Zeiten, in den Videos von anderen, meist englischen TH-camrn hat er 0-100 in knapp 5,1 sek gemacht. Ich denke mal das liegt an den Verhältnissen die du im Video erklärst, würde mich aber trotzdem mal interessieren wie der sich verhält mit 4000 gelaufen.

Die testen i.d.R. 1 foot roll off und 0-60 mph, also 96km/h. Das macht gut und gerne schon mal ein paar Zehntel aus.
5,1 ist Quatsch wie Nairamize schon schreibt weil die die „falschen“ Settings in den Boxen verwenden🤦♂️….so oder so kannst du dich aber auf ein richtig tolles Auto freuen😬👍

Does this have a different turbo than the is38?..... think it has it im correct can someone tell me if its a good turbo? I know the is38 had its issues. Have they been resolved now?
It's a continental turbo.
The future will show whether the Conti Turbo is more stable. The cars haven't been on the market long.

Sind die vier Endrohre „echt“ und hat er ne Klappe?
Hat 4 Endrohre am ESD welche allerdings nicht fest mit den schwarzen Endrohrblenden verbunden sind;) Eine Klappe hat er nicht.

Sound ist eher ähnlich zum GTI Clubsport, ich persönlich finde etwas präsenter als im Formentor….aber alles sehr ähnlich.
Achso und für Allrad kannst ja den Sportstourer nehmen;)

Ich persönlich würde diesen Leon 300 nehmen. Leichter, mehr Fahrspaß, sogar nen Quäntchen mehr Sound….günstiger😅
@@Automann-TV Preislich wird es kaum unterschied machen, ich würde mir den sowieso nur "ausleihen" für 3 Jahre. Die liegen beide als Vorführfahrzeug bei ca. 40.000€. Vielleicht muss ich einfach mal beide Probefahren um den Fahreindruck zu erhalten.
Ich habe den Formentor genommen, hatte vorher den alten Cupra 300.
Beide machen Spaß aber beim 300er hat mich der Frontantrieb genervt sobald es mal etwas nass war.

Cuz i30N stock have 275PS 353nm and it's FWD car with manual transmission , the result of the 0 to 100 are 5,6s , while this cupra have 300PS 400Nm it's FWD as well , but with DCT transmission and she have the same results !! There is 15kg wieght difference , but you said the hyundai had passenger , so that should cover the wieght !! But the cupra should have better time , since she have DCT transmission instead of manual , plus she have more power and torque !!!! So how the hell that Hyundai manged to have the same acceleration ? I have seen the acceleration of this guy and AutoTopnl channel , the best time that they had is 6,2s with manual transmission 🤷🏼♂️ so it's weird how stock he manged to make 5,6s !!

Correct, but same tire size. Winter tires don’t seem to have a big effect on 100-200 times if you have constant grip. With an M4 for example or our GTS 4.0 you have wheelspin above 100 km/h with winter tires🤪
@@Automann-TV yes but when you tested the Golf R with summer tires and same size , you made clear that compound can make such a difference as 0,5 sec. from 100-200!
🤔….really?…don’t remember what I said😅…let’s say it that way: winter tires are not an advantage for acceleration runs but the main drivers are outside temp and wind speed/direction😁
@@Automann-TV exactly..and very important is also how many km has the car in the odometer as you correctly mentioned. After 10000km , they can achieve much better acceleration times. 😊

Im guessing its the FWD that slows this car down when it comes to accelerating from a standstill? the Formentor does 0-100 in like 4.4 seconds and it only has 10 more HP but it does also weight more, 5,6 seemed really slow for the leon..
FWD makes it slower 0-100 but it's much more sporty and better for cornering that a Golf R or a Formentor with AWD. It's basically like a Golf GTI Clubsport

Golf 8 R has done it in 10,8 sec from 100-200. 0-100 in 4,3 sec. And 277 kmh Vmax (real kmh) when the limiter is activated.
Golf R is not faster than 12s 100-200
