Just got a call from my dealership saying this was the problem with my car. And of course, I wanted to see the problem in action, so thank you for uploading the video. It's been a problem since I bought it brand new. Randomly won't start up sometimes. The only way I can get my car to start half the time is by opening the door and closing it again. I thought it was to turn the battery off. (Silly me) Watching you punch the ignition made me realise, it was the force of me closing the door, that made it start. It sounds absolutely wild to me, someone who knows nothing about cars. I am glad I learned something today.

Having problems with the immobiliser light coming on and engine cutting out. Swap the immobiliser for a new one, car started, but after 10 mins had the same problem again. I wonder if anyone has any other ideas.
Please where an a little buy the replacement part for 2015 Hyundai Elantra immobile antenna coil. I just experienced this problem. I took it a mechanic and he charged me a lot but thought it was the spark plugs, which isn’t. Canadian tire couldn’t detect anything and finally I towed because it wouldn’t crank to Hyundai on Dundas and they finally detected it is the antenna coil # 96210 3X000 WW8. Since their labour is quite heavy. Someone recommended a local mechanic, but he wants me to come and pick my car is saying due to the knocking sound that has been in my car since I bought it, it is my engine so he isn’t touching it. Though there is a knocking sound, I have never had any issues or have any issues with the engine.

Elantra 2018, in 5 years, having the same problem. Immobolizer light comes on and now I can't start or drive the car.
