"I am very happy, I have had the best in life and content with what I have achieved" This sums up Vinces life. You never get people talk like that now days. There seem to be never satisfied but that is different with Vince. My Hero
Today is Vince Gill's birthday...In this video, we see him enjoying the best gift a father ever received. God bless them both...Anybody have a tissue out there?
So jealous and happy for this dude! He strikes me as a guy that has been through shit just like all of us but is a truly happy person.... I strive for that!
Vince Gill has managed to stay grounded, with all of his successes in life. The media will never reveal the extent of his charitbable giving and volunteerism. He's a great humanitarian. His daughter seems to be following in his footsteps as well. Beautiful young lady with a heart to match. Very refreshing in today's culture.
thebeastlacey She certainly seems to be an apple that didn't fall far from the tree. She has a very refreshing presence, not at all a spoiled or wise-ass child like too many of today's youngsters are. That, of course, comes through the genes, and that part of her Dad is very evident. Both of her feet are on the ground, even for a young person, and I dare say she will be every much as talented and successful as her Dad. She is not shy, but neither is she boisterous and overbearing. Her confidence and talent is part of the new generation of country/bluegrass musicians, such as Carrie Underwood, who know who they are, what they want to do, and how they are going to get there. Just seeing and hearing them perform together was a treat, and no doubt listening to her Dad over the years has planted the seed of musical interest and she has the talent and desire to make it something to be proud of. It was obvious Vince is one proud Dad, and to see and hear them work together was like listening to an echo: different, but the same. We may very well have another Gill musician coming along in Nashville.
@@JoeInCT418 I wish the ex wife Janis also. Get credited for what she gave. The Sweethearts were in top of there careers Vince Gill started to go up so she step down so there be a parent at home. JENNY SANG WITH THE SWEETHEART NOT MUCH BUT SOME her mother helped Gill with writing or finishing up his music. Trying to say here she has two parents with very good voices she couldn't miss and kind and gentle I love The Sweethearts of the Rodeo.
God made a mould of a genuine man with a heart and soul as deep and wide as the ocean and that’s Vince then he threw the mould away, there is only one Vince Gill 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹👍❤️
I love this. This is what I want for my Great-Grandchildren. My daughter has been singing in bands, playing guitar and Key-tar for years. Mostly Rock. Red hot rock covers from then and now. My son, who reminds me of Vince in a lot of ways, was doing the same until he died at age 28 years old in 1995. We love your music. LOL
Just saw Vince and Jenny performing together at The Oregon State Fair on 9-1-15, and he certainly doesn't need that walker yet. His singing and guitar playing were as flawless that evening as when I saw him more than 20 years ago at The Western Washington State Fair in Puyallup. He's country music's version of Paul McCartney in that respect.
andyinoregon I was in Puyallup back in 1970 when Uncle Sam asked me to visit Fort Lewis for 4 months. I chuckled at the name then, and I chuckle now. A very unique name. We have many in Connecticut as well. As for Vince, I suspect he will forge his own legacy in Country Music, and his laid-back approach to all that he does will guarantee his contribution to Nashville for many, many years. It is so obvious he enjoys what he is doing, and it appears he often supports newcomers in the music field, such as when he supported Carrie Underwood's rendition of "How Great Thou Art" at the Grand Ole Opry. She seemed very apprehensive, but he looked very steadily into her eyes and was saying without a voice, "You can do this." She did, to a standing ovation. That's a great part of giving back, and he does it so well. It is obvious that he has given Jenny the same support over the years; her nodding head said it all when he was explaining his approach to his daughter's entry into the field of music.
Vince is so talented from hard work and God given singing voice, his sense of humor is wonderful too! Saw you in Kalamazoo Mr. Vince Gill, fantastic!!! We yelled ' Vince you have the voice of an angel!!' You responded, 'why thank you .'' he is such a doll!!!
vince has been my fav since ppl and i have loved all he has done this is beautiful in the sense he is a genius and beautiful soul if i'm down his music brings me up for over 40 yrs !
We. have a son, Jantzen, and a daughter Savannah, hope will do the same. Both sides of our families have been in 🎵 all our lives. God bless, enjoyed the message
In an industry which has changed so much, I hope Jenny makes it. She certainly inherited a musical talent from both her parents, and most likely considers stepmom Amy a mentor also.
What a guy....lovely daughter.....so much love and admiration between the two.....Jenny, pick up the guitar girl and take some lessons if you haven't already....what an opportunity you have...!!
Nashville was hit by a massive flood several years ago and Vince's home was flooded as well. He lost something near half of his guitar collection and this is what is left. He was interviewed a couple of years ago. He demonstrated several of his instruments and described some of the damage from that flood.
Still Cheeky what do you mean she wasn’t perfect either? Did she cheat and sue him for divorce? Of course people move on, that is life she had no other choice. But, He broke up his family. Creep.
@@carolinecorman1716 "When Gill's wife filed for divorce in 1997, tabloid newspapers printed articles saying Grant and Gill had had an adulterous affair..." Were you there? Janice admitted being a OCD control freak and Vince was a creative genius that let his socks lay around and it drove her nuts. Bottom line, it takes two. Believe what you want. You weren't there and you don't know anything other than what the rags have told you.
Still Cheeky you were not there either so shut up. Janis hound love letters in his golf bag. It is ridiculous to think there was no adultery. I don’t care. I no longer want to discuss it.
People loves to look for problems whether it exists or doesn't. I don't think it bothers him at all unless it matters to Amy or his children. He is a principle man and speaks like it is and we get what we see.
That's the strange part. Atually, Vice isn't a musician at all. In fact, he cannot read a note of music. He plays everything by ear, and cannot read music. I certainly won't try to take anything away from his talents though, as he plays some great music.
The best guitar players don't go near a guitar with steel strings because they are so limiting. It's like cutting the heart out of the guitars greatest strength. Steel has a very boring sound that never changes. How old is this guy ? Youre suppose to move past this point when you are still in your teens or early 20's.
This message is to the folks that did the video shoot. Why do you folks keep shooting videos of people looking at camera 1 while shooting with camera 2? If you had an interviewer (Talk show host for example) this would be ok but these people are supposedly speaking to me the viewer right? I just CANNOT understand why you and other companies have started shooting videos like this. It makes the videos so "UN-professional" I enjoyed the information and I love Vince & Jenny Gill with all my heart and I love their music and what they stand for. Thank you for sharing. But please I would love to also see them looking at me. Regards, AWDDesignStudios
+AWDDesignStudios hmmm, and yet I like that style of shooting. I think interviews in that style make for a more relaxed ''just hangin out'' kind of thing.
+Mud Wiser If they showed the "Interviewer" then Yes for sure but they don't they show them looking at camera 1 while camera 2 is shooting their profile. When they look at each other for sure this is way cool and that's they way it should be but looking at camera 1 while camera 2 shoots profile shot, this is never correct. Once again if they showed the "Interviewer" then no problem. - Thanks for your input.
I think that you should make music when you are shaky ,old and weezing because then you will still have a voice, cause then you will be grey and wise I'm still as impressed by Willie Nelson 50 some ought years later. You are wonderful and the voice you have is not just yours its a gift from God, the byproduct of doing things when it is not perfect is you teach your child that sometimes you just have to show up even if you are being tested every day is a test.
Uh, Vince, I got a walker and it doesn't impact my writing at all! It just takes me a little longer to get from point A to point B than it does you. Creatively, we're toe to toe! I can't play an instrument and you don't want me singing! I've only ever been able to sing three things--- alone, along, and badly! But don't think a walker will ever slow you down! Or anybody else for that matter! I cruise on that sucker!😜💝😄
Every time I hear Vince Gill play and sing, I am moved to tears. His love of God and for music simply humbles me.
Vince Gill is some one to look up to as a great musician and great father and husband. Have always loved his music.
This just makes me love and respect him even more. How blessed she is to have a father as wonderful as Vince.
Thanks Stacey

She's got a beautiful voice. They sound good together.
Vince Gill is one of the best artists ever. His guitar skills makes him the best thing after King Chet Atkins
That is more Guitars than I've ever seem in a Guitar store.and Vince you'll probably play the day you die you never get to old.
