The first night I spent in my Diamond City home, I decorated, and then slept there with Cait. I got up to leave, exited the red door, and the entire day market population began to spawn next to me, coming out my front door with me as if they had all been in my home while I slept. To say the least, I felt violated.
I have the same thing happen a lot. The most memorable was in Skyrim, actually. Left my home in Markarth and all the guards spawned right outside, most fell off the steps, and died.
Unless you're with the Institute. Then he sticks around for updates from the SRB. I got sick of those missions so I secretly killed Justin Ayo and now Alana heads the SRB instead.
Re.: Aloot's Home Plate. The reason for the extra beds and hydroponics is that you can use Home Plate as a regular settlement after installing it, so you'll need the extra beds/food for settlers. It's awesome!
Yes cause I definitely want 20 people in my house. I'd rather just use it as a place to keep my favorite followers. Where we can chill together and throw parties and stuff every now and then
The cafe on top of Diamond City is awesome. I love how many small, hidden places there are like that. I think I had like 150 hours played before I learned there was a root cellar in Sanctuary lol
I might be alone in this opinion, but I'd much rather have a ready-made player home than tediously building a settlement. I think that F4 could have been so much better if the time, effort and money put into the settlement system went into the rest of the game instead.
Agreed. It also doesn't make sense that you have to personally micromanage every single settlement in the Commonwealth. Settlements should be able to build themselves (and defend themselves... Preston) for the most part with a little bit of help. They could have focused instead on just a few settlements that you could micromanage, like Sanctuary, and make it far more expansive and less broken than what was presented in the game.
Seymore "Gally" Johnson i personally like it. When you finally build it up and get max settlers and start earning and getting towards 100% happiness, it can be a lot of fun
I think for me personally to enjoy it, it would have to work differently. I think constructing a settlement piece by piece using the awful building system is just tedious and time consuming. Instead I'd like it if there was a system in which we'd recruit people from whichever faction and they'd go to a potential settlement area. Our job wouldn't be to design and build it directly but rather to gather caps and materials to make it happen.
No I prefer making it myself that way it is more personal and I feel more connected to it and I feel like I have achieved something rather than someone else doing all the work also you can have it exactly the way you want it

Nuclear war devastated cities. It didn't turn the sole survivor into a lout. There's no reason why someone who knows how to properly clean would be unable to. Especially considering all the brooms, dustpans and cleaning supplies no one else uses because they don't know what they're for.

I'd like to see more sparse to bare player homes. the cluttered look just give a tiny/small museum that has 400 times items then floor space needed to display them. Basically starter homes that look like you've crawled less then 10 "dungeons" Elle's yet beautiful, tends to look like your level 300+ & flaunting your wealth or hoarding illness.
You can use the garbage can wall crawl glitch to get to the restaurant on the outside of Diamond City. It's fun trying to climb walls using a can or tire.
I like Eli's homes and mods, but I just hate when she puts her name everywhere in the mod itself. No disrespect of course, it's just kind of lore breaking when I go to get one of her shirts and have to visit her shop, or I'm constantly reminded my home was made by her when I see her name everywhere around it.
it would be nice if the press box penthouses had altered dialog where the upper stands residents give a li'l more respect as they often comment that your nothing if your not good enough to rate upper stands. I suppose they would still treat you as nouveau riche. Pickman visited in the night? that does it... I am installing a turret. anyone opens the door without a key, they get blasted! Aloot's Homeplate comes with a working shower... imagine my surprise when I am trying to upgrade some armor for Curie right after getting her the synth body... I go to give it to her, and she has wandered off... I start to look for her and find her stripped nekkid in the shower. (yes it has working water.) Aloot,(not that you are likely to see this) I am sorry you felt you had to leave the fallout community, but Amazing work. I love it your home plate build.

Excuse me, but what was behind the bookcase in Diamond City New Player Home? I noticed the bookcase was interactable when your cursor passed over it, and I also noticed there seemed to be a door behind it, and was a bit distraught when you didn't show what was back there. So... what's back there?
The build-able home on top of diamond city stands needs to be its own cell. Its in a really bad spot for frame rates, imagine when you start decorating... downtown Boston is a frame killer to begin with.

I don't think the second mod would be a very good railroad home as you are literally next door to an institute agent

Though nuts the railroad is trying to save synths good way to spy on the mayor to help find the ones that want out.
That institute agent doesn't know you're in the railroad and you don't know he's a synth yet.

The picture in memory of his sister won me over. I think it's on par with Elianora's but the picture completely tipped the scale in Aloot's favor.

CD 2409 I climbed the wall inside the Mass Fusion building once, tried to get the special armor. When you fall from there you really need that armor.

I don't know if that will work though, I've done a fast travel into Home Plate before and found locals there.
