  • Traveling through the Adirondacks for many years, I have stayed at several campgrounds, from RV resorts to mom and pop campgrounds to free DEC camping. So in this video I listed my top 5 campgrounds in what is most likely the biggest tourist draw in the ADK.....Lake George. All these campgrounds I have personally stayed in so I know what they offer and what they are like. So if you are heading to Lake George to camp..watch the video. if you have stayed in any of these....what do you think of my list. Follow along!!

We love the Adirondacks. We haven’t camped there in our RV yet. Thanks for the guidance, we will have to plan a trip soon. Keep the content coming.

There's a lot of great places through out the ADK, whether you like full hook ups camping or boondocking....plenty of spots. Happy camping!!

Excellent, I love the area, but hate how crowded it can get.

#1 Pick is worth the 10 hr drive for us. But the lower sites near the large pool are really awkward, camping on pavement and very little shade and privacy. gotta stay up top. Thanks for the video will look into the other ones as we are heading back again this year.

There are several nice campgrounds around Lake George, these are the best ones I have stayed at. My #1, when I was there we were in the upper section which was nice and shady. Thanks for the comment, happy camping!!!

I have not, you must reserve them in advance on Reserve America!! By the time I know when I can take time off they are all full. But I usually like camping further away from people!!

Try Moose Hillock next time you have daughters with you.

Been there twice. Very nice place I love how they have the sites spread apart. The only thing is the price….$180 a night with a minimum of a four night stay. Although I think it’s a very nice campground, that price and the fact that they have pay showers too….it does not make my top 5.

@@ADKMan I agree, but our girls loved that pool. I really enjoyed the privacy of every site. Glad we brought a golf cart or could’ve added hundreds$ more in rental costs. We just checked out Monday. We are staying at Lake George Camp Resort next year. Have usually stayed at the Battleground, which definitely has its perks!
