- F1 is FINALLY back! Today saw the opening round of the 2024 season, and it seemed to pick up exactly where 2023 left off... Regardless there's a lot of material here, so here are my thoughts!

this dude is like the McLaren fastest pit stop putting this up not even an hour after the race.
haha thanks man!
It's quite easy with time travel, he did release it early for patreon after all.
Maybe he pre-records "Max for the win, Logan Sargent last."
I guess that's what happens when almost nothing happened in the race...
@@FP1Will you can say you had the Max bit ready already, we won't judge you 😅
DRS is on lap 1
max: ok, +1s to 2nd place.
It was like, oh yeah, max can't get away as easily with DRS active after one lap, and he just automatically took a 1+ second lead after 1. That's when everyone knew the race was over.
what race was it in 2023 where Someone got close to Max and max just gapped him like 3 seconds in 2 laps?
Max is completing side quests and still slaying. Here's #4! 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆
Lando in Brazil
I don't even get how that's supposed to work out as far as going after Max, because even if he's say only 6 tenths ahead of second, if second is 3 tenths ahead of third, they have to worry about defending against getting passed. Which means that DRS isn't going to do much to get them ahead of Max.
Stroll going from being rammed up the ass by hulk and effectively last to P10 and one place behind Alonso is something that should be appreciated more
I would''ve appreciated it more if he'd just pile driven into Max like will recommended 🤣
It’s Lance. Well minimize his successes & maximize his failures regardless of what good/bad luck affects either outcome.
@@michaelwilkie35 To be fair, last year he only showed in a few races that he was deserving of a spot in F1 in my opinion. He was in the same car that Alonso was in and carrying it barely into the points most times. But I agree that he had a solid race today
@@seaoc6578 Yeah, it's fine to rag on him when he does poorly but no one ever actually recognises when he does well, it's been like this for his whole career really, and it's warped the perception of him
@@michaelwilkie35 Lance's luck is as non-existent as the chances of Alonso staying at Aston Martin.
I can't decide if Ferrari announcing Hamilton as a driver before the season start was a moronic move or pure genius. On the one hand, Sainz is going to spend the whole season not caring one bit about being a team player, but I'm not sure there was a more effective way of motivating him to do well this season. The upcoming fireworks between Sainz and Leclerc this season should be amazing.
Its not like he didnt do well last season with only 6 Points behind leclerc considering Team Orders and the botched up strategy. Ferraris move to Hamilton Was moronic. They are giving up the perfect 2nd driver for one that challenges their already broken Talent. Ferrari strategy 🤡
@@ugotdestroyed4227Did you forget that he was that close only because of Leclerc having shit reliability?
Also there were no team orders.
And Sainz is better than both of them at this point
@@sjs3469 Lol I thiught the same today, zhey should have sacked leclerc and gotten russel instead of ham 😂😂😂😂
Lecler is shite behind the wheel
max verstappen dictionary
"the car is fucked" = 110% domination
The pace of video creation was faster than verstappen👏👏
Let's not exxagerate
Relax vicky
Your comedic review gives better entertainment than the actual race
You go alright for a pommie
Charles Leclerc setting a fastest lap with no breaks in his car is the most Charles Leclerc thing i ve ever seen💀
People thought this year was going to be different, LOMA!
It is, different, Haas and Alpine has swapped cars.
@@6038am LOL
@@6038am hahahaha
It is different, Stroll crashed and it wasn't his fault, also he performed well
@@davidaugustofc2574
🫴👁👨🦼
That's you
Well it's sad that you didn't mention the huge comeback of Stroll who finished tenth after hias spin
Both max and checo doing 20 laps on softs (with very little pace difference for max) was kind of crazy (and depressing).
It was like preseason testing, but they were sandbagging then
Incredible lack of degradation. Ferrari engineers seemingly expected a tyre drop off from the softs with about 10 laps remaining.
@@Pedro285 i did drop a little, with 2-3 laps left
We can look forward to Sting Ray Robb and Indycar next week ❤
Sting Ray is definitely worth the price of admission!😂
@@darrylkraatz1482 He definitely is in the All-Name Hall of Fame. If he fails as a race driver, he might have to become a quarterback with a name like that.
Let's hope Indycar provides much needed crashes...action I meant
Hopefully he doesn't disappoint in Milwaukee as I will be there.
Man carlos on a mission
Hamilton does the: Jos Verstappen at a kart track impression 😂😂😂😂😂 solid one😂😂
I understand that shitting on Stroll is funny to some extent, but the dude had a great weekend.
He got traffic in Q2 which screwed him over, got yeeted to last place by Magnussen and somehow recovered to be 10 secs behind Alonso from the back of the grid with no SC/luck. He had pace and drove a very clean race.
You failed to mention that
my favourite part of the race was when Crofty said 'Its not often George makes mistakes like that'
Stroll dominance could bore fans
😂😂😂
I know who my goat is
Nobody seems to have realised Stake put Bottas's tyre the wrong way in.
they are truly kicking sauber
Wasn't it also a rear tyre from a completely different set
@@beejaabee30 was it?
All I could do is face palm while experiencing flashbacks to Monaco
when the f1 recap is more entertaining than the ACTUAL F1 RACE
This man can upload faster than verstappen can lap the whole grid.
But will, when are you gonna run naked around monaco, we still remember the promise you made in 2023 monaco comedy review
I'm guessing it'll be at the Monaco grand prix.
Didn't you notice Stroll finishing in the points after facing the wrong way in turn one. His pace was excellent. No worse than Alonso.
I did… hence why I didn’t mention it 😂😉
@@FP1Will Because you keep criticizing him, but today he deserved praise. If anyone deserves to be ridiculed, it's Logan, and Alpine.
@@nducation8039 Don't forget Ricciardo, who could only get past his teammate on teamorders.
@@nducation8039it's a satire/comedy channel. Chill bro
@@FP1Will dislike because Stroll actually did well today
F1 is a lot more fun to watch if you imagine that Max is driving a single seat pace car. In that world we had the lead change hands multiple times and a decent battle to see who got the last points position.
In either world, we had several on track overtakes and a welcome lack of DRS trains. 8/10.
watching F1 for the soap opera and IndyCar for the racing
Max’s margin of victory went from 12 seconds in 2023 to 24 seconds in 2024. It’s so Joever💀
A little harsh on Stroll, don't you think? He did manage to work his way up the field to finish in the points.
Logan's steering wheel breaking screwing him in qualifying and the race is heartbreaking
Really
Is that what happened? I know they mentioned Albon having wheel issues on a radio they played, but they just showed Sargeant on the run-off, screaming in the radio, then moved on with 0 explanation
Gotta love the the quick wit (literally) and quality jokes.
Good race to begin with. Stroll showing Ferrari how a team works and finishing 10th after beiing spun around in the 1st corner, courtesy of Hulkenberg ( why is he still there?). Oh, and Ricciardo needing the teams help to move up 1 place to end up before his teammate who had a better race than him and then show us absolutely f*ck all. I'm sure Yuki will be glad with this masterclass of an hasbeen driver. Congrats to Sainz on finishing 3rd.
If yuki swapped 2 laps earlier there might have been a chance for both to get through on Kmag. The fact he waited 2 laps was why the combo of Max and blue flags lost both the RB drivers a chance at points, apparently they talked about this pre race. Sure he is annoyed but he didn't handle it well.
I can`t help but agree with aarava when he said the Cost Cap is a detriment to the sport at this point, because the advantage of Red Bulll has been established, and the other teams like Mercedes and Ferrari can`t throw money at the problem in order to catch up. The Cost Cap only works when no team has such advantage.
I suspect the RBs were on a very conservative setup, Max' tyres looked like new at the end and Sergio managed the gap to Sainz who on paper would have had a massive advantage with the hard tyres at the end.
Aside from Lance being Lance, he actually did a good job catching back up.
As far as Alpine goes, only Sargeant is a thread to calling 19/20 the marginot line, as their pace might fortify those positions.
I wonder how Mercedes will continue the season, while their low ground clearance shouldn't be an issue in Bahrain, they'd have to do massive changes for tracks like Spa and they already seem to be in the midfield.
Sidenote: Carlos got driver of the day, which made me kinda happy. I hope he gets a good car next year.
Lance is hated on in ways he doesnt deserve, did great in the underling series, and yes he screws up, but hes had plenty of good results and good drives. Hes not a mazepin.
Last night I had two races on my screens simultaneously. The Bahrain F1 GP and the WEC 1812km of Qatar. One of these races was very exciting from start to end. The other was an F1 race.
You missed the RB cooldown lap incident, the best moment of the race 😂
I’m not gonna lie, the 2023 “NOOOOOO” comedy review intro was iconic
Another excitement -free race. I can't believe no other team got any better. RB could have just raced last year's car again and still win.
Can’t wait for the Indycar season and the infamous NFL theme 😂
Please don’t replace the Fox NFL theme! It works perfectly.
I genuinely got so bored, that on like lap 36 I got up to take a shower, returned on lap 48, and literally nothing happened. I think that best describes the Bahrain gp for the last few years tbh
Guess you didn’t watch 2022
@@Nowayyya i did, but there was still like 40 laps with literally nothing happening until gasly had an engine failure and all that happened. My point is, is that theres little to no excitement happening for the majority of these races in Bahrain
"The dutch messiah beating his teammate by 22 seconds, with Carlos Sainz wresting his Ferarri into 3rd"
I feel like this is the chorus to F1's theme song at the moment.
Great video but I gotta say for leclerc, he had a mechanical problem with the front axle
LH: “these guys are fast man”
Everyone: “no shit”
😂
Not only a smashing good comedy review, but also the addition of my favourite F1 intro song 😅 Lift Me Up = such a great classic
I was sitting here thinking shit, that intro is an absolute banger. Then it hit me. I felt old. I'm 34
I would give you: STROLL
Love that races are on a Saturday. Enjoyable race. Very funny video. Looking forward to the next video. Keep up the good work.
Thanks!!
You missed Yuki trying to take out Daniel after the race…..
actually look at yuki's onboard if you think he was trying to take him out lmfao
Maybe, but Yuki will do better if he loses the red-mist road rage attitude. He could be mighty fast in the RB20, but needs maturity.
@@perfectfantasies you’re right, he was just being an idiot, and came close to taking out his teammate as a result. good thing, Daniel was still being alert, even though the race had ended to idiots losing traction right beside him
Glad to hear your voice improving Will! Hope your health keeps on the upswing !
A great ad for people to watch WEC/IMSA/Indycar instead
Why do i even still watch f1
@@saltyaphid3195 Because it was very exiting for a single year, then people hoped it would stay that exiting, but Verstappen decided that it was quite nice to be Hamilton and now we're back to where we were pre-covid
Im ngl were cooked get ready for another max domination 😭
I’m excited for Indycar cause I’ll watch the f1 get bored, then entertained by Indycar a few hours later
and SUPER GT and super formula. just adding more series to recommend to people, genuinely not trying to disregard WEC/IMSA/IndyCar, as they're all great series. i plan to watch IndyCar, IMSA, super formula, and SUPER GT throughout the entire year, adding WEC if possible (start times might be a pain due to being many hours ahead of where most of the races for that series take place).
I think Yuki Tsunami has been taking lessons off Estaban Ocon and vcrab have possibly hired ferrari's old strategist ... 🤐
Good to have you back!!!!
Good to be back!
AlpineWatch when?
Will, I gotta say I much preferred the fugazi/at the drive in intro, rather than the f1 theme from way back when phones had to be flipped to be considered “closed”
This race was so interesting I actually fell asleep after the fist lot of stops till about 4 laps from the end. Good watch, cant wait for the rest of the season
We may need Alpine watch for this season.
p.s: Moby's Lift Me Up is straight up banger. I miss the James Bond-esque F1 intro.
Bro your pace is better than Verstappen with the speed of your uploads
man there was a shot the max was in the pits and there where no other cars in the shot for like 30 second then you could see them in the back crazy stuff
Well, I think that Yuki might have just pissed away his pretty much guaranteed Honda spot for that after race stunt. I guess Iwasa has potential to step in.
Why
I feel for Liam Lawson, as Checo may get re-signed if this continues. Yuki is Honda money so he stays for another year, and Daniel is Netflix gold so will be a given.
Time to look elsewhere for a seat?
RB20 almost zero sidepod design, make a huge gap, and wins race is a huge mega slap to Merc and Mclaren😂😂
Yay finally The comedy Review is back
i wondered why there was no one from Ferarri to celebrate Sainz
Thumbs up for the new Intro. 12/10 :) Keep it up with the amaizing Comedy Reviews
Thanks a ton!
Yuki should never take a back seat to Danny Ric. Let the mid-fielders fight it out. More drama for the season. I hope Carlos crushes Charles this year and cross the finish line with both middle fingers in the air.
This guy is as quick as the RB20 to upload this so fast, great video!
He is on a roll again!
What, Verstappen? Nah, I was talking about Will.
Hahahah thanks man!
Bro that intro song was in Asphalt 2 back on the DS, gave me goosebumps
keep it up will, great video. Into music was a bit loud compared to your voice but still a banger vid.
The intro music was a nostalgia kick I didn’t know I needed. Thanks Will.
Most interesting rivaliries to watch:
Williams vs steering wheels
Daniel vs the tiny helmet
The only thing preventing me from cancelling my F1TV sub is the Archives-section. This year will not be good for the sport I think...
Ricciardo needing freebies like always. Such a mediocre drive its a shame he stole that seat from lawson
And now he stole a position from Yuki.
@@nicofolkersma2535 and from Lando in Monza 2021, and many times more. I think it was around the 3rd time he f'ed Yuki now. What a twat
Yea I like Ricciardo but that wasn't cool of him to take the position from Yuki. I doubt he will get the RedBull seat in 2025. RB should extend Checo's contract.
It was to get magnussen but where Yuki took his time and didn't want to, max caught up Daniel had to back off and lost time to the haas. Pretty simple
@@harry4454 Yuki Was 0.4 Seconds behind magnussen on lap 54 when the call came. He was just about to over take. The call made them slower. It was a stupid selfish call for ricciardo. Daniel was not faster he wasnt even able to pull beyond a second off of Yuki After they switched.
No mention of Stroll's drive from last place into the points?
So basically Red Bull was just sandbagging for a week. Also Haas is not terrible. One of those is somewhat of a surprise.
Loved the ITV F1 theme song such nostalgia! Keep for everyone this season!
It's not even Sunday of the first race weekend and the season is practically over.
I think it is confirmed by now that if you put some pressure on George Russell he folds faster than Superman on laundry day.
Stroll.
They changed DRS activation and Max still pulls away after the first lap. Even though Max and Red Bull are my favorite. Ferrari is my second favorite and seeing both teams fighting for the win would be a nice change of pace.
Yuki was so annoyed that after the race he almost wiped out Daniel's car in true Forza Motorsport rammer style :)
Strolltime
Another classic review. Loved the comment about all the Mercedes fans becoming Ferrari fans. My son already has his Ferrari shirt for next year😂
Good to see the comedy review out again, the F1 season has truly begun!!
WEC race was pretty good 👍🏼
Can’t wait for Indycar.
All said having been an F1 fan for almost 40 years.
At this point you're gonna have to start alpine watch
I genuinely laughed at the this one. But seriously I think these are hilarious and keep it up bro!
Thanks! Will do! Glad you liked it!
Vid came out almost as fast as Max.
Deliveroo driver in your ring door bell - GOLD!
See you next year, good luck guys!
Thank you for the Comedy Review. I was far too busy watching and more importantly, being entertained by the 1812km of Qatar this morning to watch F1.
no way bro was playing fly octo fly at the start what a banger that's hilarious
Hello its Will, Welcome back to the comedy review, Alpine (slopes) refers to the decline of the team since 2022
stroll
I feel you would benefit from a Maffew-style voiceover for your intro - the video part is great but I'm thinking something like Murray Walker's "AAARGH David Coulthard" moment at the 1995 Aussie GP, and James Hunt swearing during the Monaco GP, maybe a Ralf Schumacher "uiii" thrown in for good measure. Also "Fernando is faster than you"? Something like the old F1 Rejects podcast used to do...
2:48 lol is the AlphaTauri (or whatever it's called now) really just the RB19 in a different livery?
No, it’s definitely a lot slower
I mean, i know we clown on checo, but........ his last race for bullet point (before he was gonna retire) was the most amazing thing ive ever seen, the race that got him that seat in redbull.
Is that late 2000’s vintage F1 intro music I hear?
Missed opportunity to make a bottas wheel nut joke
Thanks god WEC is saving racing world from boredom. What a finish.
I know it goes against the grain of the channel but credit to Lance. Punted on lap 1, sent to last and still comes back to finish in the points right behind his former World Champ teammate. Not a bad Saturday drive. Also, George's haircut deserves it's own comedy review.
Man was so healthy he started editing during the GP lol Man like Will
They really need to cut the car dimensions down so we can see actual on track battles. Whats the point of changing the rules so cars can follow and race closely when theyre larger than battleships
Mick in his worst season (the one where he was a rookie driver paired with an 8 year-old) is starting to look better than Logan Sargeant. I love Haas but they did him dirty. After Canada, he was driving better than K-Mag. Just imagine Mick being paired with Hulkenberg for the last year. Maybe Guenther would still have his job if he had kept Mick around.
In all seriousness, probably not, but the team would still be better off IMO.
Oh.. there was a race? Nice. So is thos 2023's winter break and just resuming as normal. Seems about right.
