    This was the first song I ever heard from 2pac, I was 11 when it came out in 1993. I didn't even understand all the words but I understood the feeling and ive been hooked ever since.
    2Pac was SO BIG in the 90's he had songs with Madonna, movies with Janet Jackson and was friends with Mike Tyson. Even doing runways for Versache
    All before he hooked up with Snoop & Dre who were killing the game at that time, he still ended up being the biggest star on deathrow. Legend!!!

    His last verse was so deep. One of the most underrated ever. The power of his vocals got stronger and stronger as the end of the song was near. The subtle echoes and inverse echoes leave you captivated , they didnt even bother cutting the deep breaths he started to take towards the end and just let it ride naturally to show you how adamant he was about what he was expressing. The whole song was about story telling between 2 young black males sharing their experiences of their struggles In life with eachother. "I can't help but notice your pain, share it with me" Notice how his deepest gasp/breath was after the line "What can I do ? But be a thug until I'm dead and gone!!"

      I share with u what only 0.0.1% know, the first words she starts with is “pushing on”…. I couldn’t get the other bit cuz it’s so inaudible but after her first line, she says something similiar in her second line but not the same and on the very last bit she says “my own love” this probably ain’t necessary but there’s something in the hook that actually gets u hooked into the song, no pun intended💀

    2nd verse was Stretch 2Pac's homeboy who would later go on to betray him. U need to checkout Holla at me. 2Pac subliminally mentions him.

      Yo jack man how are you anyway please do 2pac thugz mansion ft Anthony Hamilton because Tupac, said that in the song’s lyrics about seeking a final escape to a relentlessly violent reality, Tupac “ raises a real question which I feel is extremely sincere, which is: If you are exposed to great levels of violence and poetry, how can you really be expected to even know how to make informed choices? About way it’s still hard to believe 2pac is gone millions of fans still mourn his death generally considered to be the best rapper to ever pick up a mic, he was in his prime when his life was cut short 17 years ago today this is the video u need to watch man this is the video: www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwjAvaGOy87wAhUMlxQKHcjbAgIQwqsBMAB6BAgIEAM&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DWXDIkldSPqI&usg=AOvVaw2BeAO06l3Lh4C7_jGp7YKr

    That is the very impressive analysis and breakdown of this song. Pac had the ability to paint a picture using his words. Very good reaction. I think what he says and the way he says it, the way he's able to convey what he's saying and draw people into his music is what makes him the GOAT. There is very few that are able to reach his level but he's still above them because of his ability to reach into you draw out the emotion that he is reaching for. He is just on another level. 2pac Forever.

    How raw 90s hip hop sounded

  • @carlos4087
    @carlos4087 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    2nd Verse was Stretch, Pac's old homeboy who rolled with him while he did the Above the Rim movie in NYC, but Pac then said Stretch was involved in setting him up for the Quad City Studios shooting (Biggie and Puff's rented studio). Stretch was killed shortly after Pac wrote "Holla at Me" for Stretch. Pac then confirmed it with the line on "Against All Odds" that said, "Switched sides, guess his new friends wanted him dead/ Probl'y be murdered for the shit that I said, I bring the real, be a legend, breathing or dead".

  • @JordanM769
    @JordanM769 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Stretch is the guy on the second verse. He was his friend up until the robbery in 94 that started his beef with bad boy. He felt Stretch could've done more for him in the robbery so his paranoia at the time led him to believe he was also involved or had prior knowledge of the robbery. And also Stretch started working with bad boy and Biggie after the incident and while he was serving his sentence, which to Pac was the ultimate betrayal.
    Stretch ended up getting murdered. Biggie was the last to see him alive allegedly. Someone ran Stretch off the road, chased him down an alley and put 2 in his back like a year after him and Pac stopped being cool.
    Edit :and for recommendations-
    Tupac, biggie, stretch, Outlawz - Running from the police (original version)
    Tupac, biggie, stretch - House of pain
    Both were recorded before the beef started.

    Keep up the good work! You will only truly love the music only when you can feel the beats and feel the artist. Been watching your videos since day one and listening you describe this song lets me know you now know how to appreciate great music. You pretty much nailed it and I couldn't have said it better myself. Tupac's top songs are super complex. The more you listen to it the better it becomes. Remember the lyrics and delivery are important too. When you get a chance do "Ghetto Gospel." One of my favorites from Pac. Listen to this song, I mean really take your time with this one when you feel you're ready. I'm excited for you now. Great job!
