Very Good Initiative.. Let us join from Every Part of the Planet to protect native grasslands which are having vital role in ecosystem sustainability and largely neglected.

I really can't believe that the north American forests and grass land eradication is not talked about more

Another thing you apparently don't know is there is a breed of cow (probably more) that are raised and finished on grass -- South Polls. Check with Gabe Brown in North Dakota which has a very similar environment to you.

Gabe Brown of North Dakota can show you how to create up to 30 times more food per acre while sequestering carbon and preserving native grasslands including cash crops.

I like the idea of bison, but you need for the bison to migrate hundreds of miles. The bison don't roam as much as migrate. Bison can't survive in northern Alberta, and maybe not even southern Alberta during the winter. Greg Judy runs a very simplified operation in Missouri compared to the very diverse operation that Gabe does in North Dakota. Greg loves his cows and maintains a wildlife Eden using cows and sheep. Both Gabe and Greg have shown how to make dramatic environmental improvement from the soil up in as little as 3 years. Using regenerative agriculture in a properly managed way, it is possible to create healthy soil a hundred times faster, or even a thousand times faster than nature typically does.

Bison can't survive in Northern Alberta ???? Obviously, you don't know a thing about bison. I'm a wildlife technician, and I worked with Wood Bison in the Northwest Territories, and have you ever heard of Wood Bison National Park, straddling the Alberta/Northwest Territory border. Furthermore, Bison are an ice age animal. Geez, read more.

@@canuck5614 A wood bison (Bison bison athabascae) is not the same animal as the plains bison (Bison bison bison) is a different animal. When the name "bison" is used by itself, it refers to the plains bison, not wood bison nor European bison. Even a technician should know this. You don't need to be a biologist to know this. You should also know that wood bison live in woodlands and forests to sustain themselves through the winter, and would not survive on the open prairie or grasslands of Alberta as is the subject of this video, without being able to migrate south during winter.
