That is actually Robert Patrick Running to catch John on his Motorbike. He trained in controlled breathing and running to get a fast sprint time and to maintain the illusion of him being an artificial lifeform who didn't need to breathe. Unfortunately he was so fast that he effortlessly caught up to the bike so he had to go intentionally slower.

He was a Nationally ranked track athlete through his school years, it got him a college scholarship and he would have continued with track athletics but he took up an interest in acting from one of his classes.
He just returned to his old norm of running. He's body language acting is top tier with being so cold and robotic along with extensive weapons training so he would come of as a cold robot using guns. Some of these reactors remarked on him not blinking while firing and his quick reload without looking.

The song was written years before the film, and wasn't acquired until filming ended. The producers wanted a music video to go with the film, and Arnie chose Guns and Roses, because there was blood, guns and roses in the film. He liked the similarities between the band name and images from the film. Some say it was Cameron that closed the deal, but Arnie has said that he was the one who had the band over for dinner and began negotiations.

    • @anothergamingchannel2656

Yeah I don't think arnold had thought of that is the reason it happens in the 1st movie. From my understanding that was Robert's idea that a machine wouldn't blink and hence he trained not to blink. I believe I heard arnold after finding this out also was on the same page and used the shades and trained a bit to do the same, but not positive on that part. I owned the special anniversary DVD box set and had a bunch of behind the scenes stuff and I feel like I remember them mentioning it. Unfortunately someone stole it so I haven't seen it in awhile and could be remembering wrong about arnold. But I know Robert for a fact did think of it and train

The original intention was to mislead us all into thinking that the Terminator was once again the bad guy and the T-1000 was the good guy. And it culminated to this scene in the back of the mall where we'd finally know who's who. But unfortunately, for all of us who saw the trailers back in 1991, they totally spoiled the 'bait & switch' idea by saying that the Terminator is the good guy. A lot of the reactors here never saw the trailers, so the 'bait & switch' idea had been restored.

Robert Patrick was the actor who played the T1000.
He practiced his shooting so that he did not blink when firing the handgun he felt that a machine would not blink.
He also practiced his running to the point where he was so efficient he kept catching the motorcycle. Ultimately he had to slow up so that John Connor could get away.

Sometimes indie movies have some sway but the big studios don't care about spoilers for the audience since they only care about ticket sales.

T-1000 be like: just tell me where John is.
T-101 be like: roses are red, violets are blue...got me this gun...and it's aiming at you.
seriously though from the beginning of the movie you can tell which is which if you watch carefully...initial behaviour says a lot.
the T-101 doesn't actually kill anybody, yes he harms the bikers but no one dies.
The T-1000 meanwhile kills the first person he comes across, a police officer, and takes his uniform (all be it smart disguise but still). The T-1000 also asks for a picture of John from the adopted parents...the T-101 doesn't need that.

    • @Cau_No
      @Cau_No 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

We didn't see that the policeman was dead afterwards. It looked like he hit with the fist to subdue him. And we are not shown how T-1000 dressed up.
It's all off camera, therefore still misdirectiong. Only on a rewatch you notice these details (as you should.)
Also, the T-1000 needs the photo to show it around, even give it out out the hand without it turning into metal.
He could memorize it, and probably even reproduce it, but it's easier to have the original for "Have you seen this kid?".
(I still like the scene in Wayne's World, where he has a cameo and does that again.)

Can't remember the character's name but Mullet Boy is not only a great wingman, but also one of the very, very few people ever to come into direct physical contact with a hunting T-1000 in Active Acquisition Mode and survive. Truly, one of the Termiverse's unsung heroes :)

1:26 "He's barely blinking" - ma'am, the actor made it certain that he would have 0 times blinking in the whole movie, ever. He also trained to run so fast and without breathing that they had to adjust the speed of the movie camera motorcycle to keep up with him to not get him out of frame.

1 thing that's cool is the guy playing the liquid metal terminator said in an interview was that he trained for the movie by trying to be more emotionless like by not making facial movements and the way he ran and walked also how he tried no to blink often that takes some talent to do those little things for a consistency over time you know that has to work ya down after awhile its a classic great flick 👍
