- On April 2, 2024, Neal Barnard, MD, provided a fantastic lecture based on his newly published book, The Power Foods Diet: The Breakthrough Plan That Traps, Tames, and Burns Calories for Easy and Permanent Weight Loss. Many people are looking for an easier and more effective way to lose weight. It turns out that, when properly chosen, certain foods facilitate weight loss, with no need for the deprivation that most weight-loss regimens require. Scientific studies show that certain foods have three attributes that make weight-loss easy. These foods can:
- Reduce the appetite
-Trap calories so they are flushed away and cannot be absorbed
-Increase the body’s ability to burn calories for hours after each meal
This presentation will show how these foods work and how to build them into your routine, easily and deliciously.
Thank you for this important interview!
Dr. Barnard is absolutely amazing! 👏👏👏
Thank you RLMI and Dr. Barnard for sharing your time for this presentation! I've been vegan for about 7 years and was vegetarian for 12 years before that, but eat way too much processed vegan foods and am hoping eliminating them and focusing on the power foods will help me with much needed weight loss! I loved Shaunte's story because I can totally relate to counting calories as a kid. She is so beautiful and vibrant. And Steve's story is amazing, so inspiring!
This was an excellent presentation. I pre-ordered the book, and I love it. It's so easy to read, and the recipes look amazing. The blueberry-cinnamon syrup is super easy to make. It is so nice to read a "diet" book that is about all the good things to enjoy.
I love all those foods, the problem is I lose weight too easily. I would love to find at least one little podcast on how not to lose weight. I can't be the only person on earth that has this tendency. Thanks for the interview. Dr Barnard is a great help to understand our biological selves.
