  • Learn from Robert Cheeke, an expert in fitness and health, as he discusses how strength training, body-building and fitness can be highly achieved on a plant-based diet. This is a lecture that you don't want to miss from this plant-based trail-blazer who went from a young 120-pound vegan to become the "Godfather of Vegan Bodybuilding." He also addresses weight loss and overall healthy eating practices.

This is the talk I've been waiting for! A l'il birdie told me Robert will be making an appearance here in Winnipeg in May. Looking forward to hearing him live! Hay Robert! Let me know if you want to go for a work-out. We could go to my gym and, afterwards, to vegan restaurant Affinity and eat all of their food.

Thanks all of you! Looking forward to Portland Vegfest becoming reality again and maybe seeing Robert again. It took me a while, however I'm finally convinced that Robert is correct that only 10% of calories need to be protein, since I'm maintaining muscle just fine. In fact, research shows 3 times more cancer from protein above 10% and 4 times more cancer if protein is more than 20% of calories.

Thanks for this information. Question - are resistance bands good for building muscle?

ANDI for healing. Calories density for athletes.

I eat a vegan diet but I am not a vegan per se. Just for a more objective perspective - can consuming animals actually provide you with additional benefits of certain plants that we cannot consume, like various grasses and leaves?
What do you say to protein experts like doctors Layton and Phillips who say that you need a higher protein level, especially as you get older? In that vein, do you take vegan protein supplements?
Do you also take Creatine Monohydrate as a means to maintain an increased muscle mass the older you get?
