Dig the rig! Just picked up the sloppy stage 3 also. Went with the Pac 1219 springs and a trunnion kit. Thanks for the great vid! It was the push I needed to go ahead and make my order! This is for my 95 s10 reg cab with 6.0 and 243 heads.

as far as i have found little no body that can tune ls stuff in albany county, guy's up here in berne dont seem to ready to go the new route they still fly with the good old small block .

update on pushrods, ive put a set of decked (.039 off) 799's on my buddys 6.0 no issue with ptv clearance with 7.450 pushrods, i got to believe that its getting close but never checked to see what clearance i had.

Do you hear a lot of valve train noise? I just put this cam in my ls1 with pac 1218s. With stock push rods and I’m hearing a lot of valve train chatter
I didn’t have excessive noise, though we are trying to figure out why my buddies ss2 trans am sounds like a sewing machine. Push rods is what I am thinking.

I really don’t know about clearance, ss3 works great na, power comes in kinda abrupt with the turbo. When the turbo comes on line the tires give up. Lol
have you found any tunes yet for a 5.3 sloppy stage 3 cam yet, im using gen 4 rods and gen 4 flat top pistons btr stock length pushrods pac valve springs gm performance locks and retainers. so what im getting at is would you be interested in flashing the ss2 tune to my pcm or a ss3 tune if you found one. for a sum ,we could make a no fault after effect agreement.

You’d really wanna check with a machine shop, but as far as I know stock pushrods are 7.4” there should be no issue with piston to valve clearance.

It works great with boost. Never dynoed it but it made enough power on 5psi to be a hand full if ya stood on it.

It worked good na, didn’t feel like it made much power down low but it really turned on around 2500rpms
It’s a little lazy na, but when it turns on it turns on! I did a ss2 6.0 7psi out of an old powerdyne in a 86 c10, made 507 whp on my shit tune.
