I'll be honest, I think the most amazing thing about this, would be mass produced small cars, for cities. They take up a lot less space, and since the passenger is closer to the road, they will naturally drive slower (it feels less safe the closer to the road you are, so you tend to dial down your speed). And since batteries don't really take up a lot of space, they (unlike fuel cars) don't need massive engines, and as such can be tiny by comparison. As someone who absolutely does not like cars (I much prefer public transport, mobility scooters for those with disabilities, and bikes, I still would massively prefer vihecles of this size in cities.
Not sure what you mean by engineering. They didn't engineer anything. They took off the shelf modules, stuck a new logo on them and stuffed them into this car. It's more of a marketing/retrofit job than engineering.
This company needs to build toy cars of old racing cars for kids who want to enter formula e at some point and I'd happily watch that. That would be awesome.
When I was a kid here in Australia dodgem cars here were made by a company called Ferrari, dodgem cars were electric and that was in the early 1960s, so you're wrong.
Looks like a kiddy car next to Jack. 😂 Omg it is a kiddy car and you got Jack to drive it? What did he do to Bobbyllew to get this job? So funny Jack! I’m sorry mate. This was a better punishment then getting a Robert Rant directed at you. Did you steal his seat at a live event? 😆😆😆👏👏👏
I love the car. A road legal version would be brilliant. 75% scale is ¾ scale. So if the length, width and height are all ¾ size, the volume and mass would be ¾ x ¾ x ¾ or (3x3x3)/(4x4x4) = 27/64 (about 42.18%) of the full sized car, if all components were the same as the original. So the manufacturer's quote that it's around half of the mass of the original 250 is perfectly plausible, if you allow for the different propulsion system.
Well there are wrist watches that cost many times more on the high end luxury side of things. This is at least cool, fun and well made. You could almost call it dignified all things considered.
In case anybody's head was exploding with the explanation of scale, the cube root of two divided by two [ (3√2)/2 ] is roughly 0.63 (63%). The math isn't perfect, but it should give a really rough idea of how to get there.
If they used the same scale as this Testarosso, a 59 Coupe De Ville would be 169 in long and 60.15 in wide, about as wide as an MGB but slightly longer.
Prices can drop if something becomes normalized. EVs are more niche right now. Plus cause of the lack of much charging stations. Not Just Bikes said some people like the sound of gas cars. There's videos saying EVs are bad for the environment. So people have to try to convince society too. Some people are afraid of what's new too.
How? How? How did you get yourself into that vehicle Jack?! I saw it but I still can't quite believe my eyes! You *really* wanted to drive that didn't you?😅 What a fantastic way to keep the old coach building skills alive, I'm all for that and this was such a fun review. Ferrari's were always a rich persons toy, I think it's quite funny that these guys have turned them into one, a certain irony in that which appeals, don't you think?! Enjoyed that Jack, thanks for the chuckle. 😄
Just got help up for 45 min on the M6 due to a car fire.. no not an EV but yet another 5 serise BMW tourched itself. BMW 5 serise giveing a new meaning to "Hot Wheels" surely they must all be recalled soon?
This. Registered as a quad. Drive into the old town where cars are no longer allowed. Park in front of the restaurant. Smile because you didn't have to walk.
Damn it! Jack always get to drive the coolest of the cool cars! - BTW, t might be small, but it sure is bigger than mine (1:18 scale) - still just as beautiful, though. Epic stuff!
1:13 I appreciate people making smaller and electric things. We need more of that for everything. 1:34 Well if it's a great distance even if it's on someone's home, then I don't see why people can't take a ride instead of having to walk all the time. Especially if they're in a hurry. 2:24 I think Ferrari is too strict in not letting people paint and decorate their Ferraris however. 10:4612:05-12:50 Thanks for supporting fun. If people watch Not Just Bikes and look at the comments there, some people are asking for not making people have to drive to live life like be able to have a job cause of building car centric cities. Some people said they want driving to be fun, not a chore.
Jack is a seriously good presenter. His charisma is contagious.
This is brilliant - get a giant and put him in a tiny car. 😂😂😂
Being 195cm tall myself, I sympathize with Jack's pains.
It's a good idea and advertisement cause I want to know if tall people can fit in small vehicles.
Noddy and big ears
When a toy car of someone's kids is more expensive than someone else's house.
Shouldn't be surprising for the 2020s. But definitely depressing
In a role, the role bar is protected by the driver's head and neck.
Right? The car roles on Jack’s shoulders.
* roll
Since it's a bolt-on roll bar I bet it also gets individually spec'd for the owner 😀
LMFAO!
fair play, with a car this expensive I would want Jack to be the roll protection for the car! :)
Amusing, but my takeaway was the potential EV-based renaissance of coachbuilding ... that could be interesting.
I love nothing more than watching my twins race their pair these around the grounds.
On the coach building point Jack makes at the end, it's such a pity Morgan haven't released a standard electric model yet.

We all should be driving these instead of the great lumps we drive now.
Imogen should be driving that thing. Shes a far more suitable size! 🙂
Love this and so pleased to see this kind of engineering in the UK. Seeing Jack climb in was also highly entertaining 😂
Not sure what you mean by engineering. They didn't engineer anything. They took off the shelf modules, stuck a new logo on them and stuffed them into this car. It's more of a marketing/retrofit job than engineering.
They need to get Peter Dinklage in there.
75% linear scale =
75%³ = 42% volumetric scale
as eny fule kno
That roll-bar thing isn't going to do a lot for you :D
This company needs to build toy cars of old racing cars for kids who want to enter formula e at some point and I'd happily watch that. That would be awesome.

Just watching Jack tooling around the track in this joy ride made me smile! 😁
I love this but I can’t stop seeing King Candy from the sugar rush game in Wreck It Ralph
A smile a mile wide. What fun, great video as always.
Jack, that roll bar..... unless you are proper short, it will not protect the occupant. A child, sure. But not the average adult.
Looks like a kiddy car next to Jack. 😂

Imagine if you removed that body, popped on a tiny van body. Perfect grocery getter if allowed on road.
13:04 can we just take a moment to appreciate that jack managed to somehow fit into this car?
This looks like so much fun. Thanks for brining us along, Jack!
Not road legal, but maybe a mini race circuit. Can you imagine a race of 10+ of these mini race cars?
I love the car. A road legal version would be brilliant.

The live action Noddy reboot needs some work
And to think that Ferrari actually got Ferrari’s blessing for building it!! A WONDERFUL model for a youngster to drive around the garden in!!
Well there are wrist watches that cost many times more on the high end luxury side of things. This is at least cool, fun and well made. You could almost call it dignified all things considered.
Excellent point!
yes, 'almost' 😆

How did you fit in that !! I was waiting for "and you think i'm going to drive it" part !! 😂😂
I guess it's true what they say, rich people will buy anything at any price 😅
His grin at the end says it all 😂
Cracking little cheap car
Ha ha, that's a fun business to be involved in... and keeping the skills alive. A mini-EV Le Mans, now that would be interesting!
Okay how did you get in.
As Jack shows in the video, you take the steering wheel off, step in, slide down, and reattach the wheel.
Imagine mini electric Cadillacs running around the US XD
If they used the same scale as this Testarosso, a 59 Coupe De Ville would be 169 in long and 60.15 in wide, about as wide as an MGB but slightly longer.
Please make a review of Baojun YEP, it is the Jimny replica in EV format. PLEASEEEEEEEE
A lot of us have been asking for small cheap EVs. Just need to work on the cheap part I guess.

How?
How?

I thought the thumbnail was photoshopped :)
for 100k sound like a sub $500 toy car looks good though
Cool. But we need a Robert Rant taking down Mr Beans's anti-ev BS.
A select few had one last week.
Any parent who spent that much money on their child should be ashamed. But like Jake its gorgeous
Ashamed of what??
I think that's a bargain at 100k. The craftsmanship is crazy.
The Ferrari for Hobbits. Bilbo Baggins in the land of Shire drives an EV car we can all admire.
Just got help up for 45 min on the M6 due to a car fire.. no not an EV but yet another 5 serise BMW tourched itself. BMW 5 serise giveing a new meaning to "Hot Wheels" surely they must all be recalled soon?
It's like an electric carting series to prepare future formula e drivers.
I imagine a lot of rich kids learning to race in these
But why ?
Price
Hello mate
Why am I watching this?
Love it! Super video, i hope they keep on building more classic cars like this 😁👍
This. Registered as a quad. Drive into the old town where cars are no longer allowed. Park in front of the restaurant. Smile because you didn't have to walk.
Jack needs a bigger roll bar than that, his head is 6 inches above it 😳
What a silly object.
You just look tall 'cause its a ragtop.
I love your videos. ❤
Amazing with the MINI roadster parked in the back.
12:38 🎉
Oh my god he sat on it
Damn it! Jack always get to drive the coolest of the cool cars! - BTW, t might be small, but it sure is bigger than mine (1:18 scale) - still just as beautiful, though. Epic stuff!
What an awesome little car. I want one. I'd also just settle for the money though to be fair.
Gulliver 😂
I want to see Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz do a tour of Monaco in one of these things
Am I the only one thinking that Imogen could use this as a daily driver 🙂 !
If you can afford a toy like this, you didn't work for your money.
Cry commie
People in London have seen their house price rise from a hundred thousand to over a million. For some, money is not the issue.
Oh!! So it’s a model of the Testa Rossa!! Absolutely gorgeous for boy racers!!
😅 you look like a Bobble Head doll. Especially while wearing the helmet. Neat toy however.
I just hope it doesn’t earn carbon credits. 😒😟🤪
Lay off the steroids Jack! No excuses about it being a "toy" car! 🙂
I did not expect that. Looks fun 🙂
?? what does this do that makes any sense? When EV's are being assailed by petro-heads from every direction.. we get this ?! Sadge :(
Watching that made me happy. The internet and youtube needs more stuff like this and much less of the bad stuff.
A lovely encomium to exquisite craft. How unexpected and joy-inducing. 😊
The Ferrari certainly has similarities to the 1950’s D type jag, even with the head fairing.
It would be fun to take one of these to a karting track! 😊
We need a kid critic to drive it around. Don't want of you have a spare child?
The parents would have to use Tarquin's full name to get his attention.
Tarquin Lyntimfintimbimbusstopftangftangolebiscuitbarrel.
Oh my gosh I haven't heard that in a while!!
The heck did I just watched? That's bloody briliant! xD
EV Champion! Great job!😊
I'll take one if it were given me. You do look quite SILLY though...
1:13 I appreciate people making smaller and electric things. We need more of that for everything.

More little cars!!
At last - a modern electric car that will actually fit on my 1930s driveway!
1:50 “a little bit pointless”
Agreed.
What the f did I just watch?
Incredible engineering😋
it maybe is fun, but looks very very stupid :D especially with a big man like Jack driving it.
i hope there will be more microcars 😅
Pretty sure it’s not the first. Electric Classic Cars built a Teslarossa from a Testarossa. More powerful, more range, more reliable.
My smile muscles were tired after this video.
yeah, sure, but the most important thing is whether you can sleep in the trunk ... you know, in the emergency situations
Silly… but sweet. A toy for mansion dwellers.
Can someone count how many times he says Ferrari
Weird flashback: There was a Gerry Anderson UFO episode which had the characters in a chase using small cars of this size…..
Is this a Formula E racing car? It’s a bobby Dazzler!!
Imagine if you will, Formula-E looked like this.
People would watch that!
2:59 "Those are ten grand"
* pregnant pause *
By that point I was _sure_ he would follow that up with "each!"
I would also like to see a Lancia D24 spider in Celeste.that would be
bellissimo!
