    Hey Barry, just wondering how you achieved the motion blur on the prop and the spiral effect? Cheers

    • @BarryMountford
      @BarryMountford  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      By Making a selection around the propeller and then created a separate layer for that election and Using the radial blur in photoshop to give it that effect. Hope that helps.

    Great break down and fabulous result.
    Just a thought for you. Regarding wheel and wire removal, would you consider after you've captured your shot, that it would be useful to remove the object from the scene and shoot a clean background. You may find it easy than using the clone tool by having a "clean plate".
    That aside, brilliant work.

      Avidcomp thanks man, yes did consider that but took ten minutes in post to remove, and I changed angles for the other shots so would have been more time consuming to remove the wire and then add it again, but yes a blank plate is definitely a good practice in the right situation. Thanks for watching.

    brilliant stuff. a suggestion for you. although you are great on camera, spend 95% of the time showing the setup and gear and 5% on yourself, rather than the other way. :) . i really wanted to see more of the setup

    Seems like you're trying to recreate Airfix box art. Nothing wrong with that. It was an early influence. I thought you were using kit models, but diecast models are so much more difficult to photograph, partly due to the scale. I do model photography, though I do 1:18 scale. Smaller scales are much too fiddly.

    That was interesting! You laid it out how you did it and took us through step-by-step that was just fantastic. I thought you took a little too much of the Moon out because that told the story of why there was light there. But other than that I thought it was just absolutely amazing.

      Mike, do not lie to him! Tell him instead how you wanted to see less of him, and more behind the scenes!

    Good affect in the end but you took all the light out of the moon and the side of the Spitfire was still illuminated?.
    You commented your last video took a long time, almost half of the content this time was your face explaining what you were going to do, we want to see how you get the affect, it would be better to do a voice over, more interesting.
    Try watching a couple of Marty’s Matchbox Makeovers, World Leader in his field, pushing 100 k subscribers.
    Great job just need more practical.
    Thanks looked good.

      Wayne Moore hey buddie thanks for the feedback, yes i know what you mean the only problem is the space is so small I am shooting in it’s difficult to show work in progress when the space is full of gear and space to
      Move is very limited. Appreciate the feedback.

    Maybe you can find someone to xustlm paint some planes that look more realistic.

    • @BarryMountford
      @BarryMountford  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I think using die-cast planes are not the most detailed.
