I really don’t understand why people get so weird in the comments. All the guys judging and scalping every little thing you do and say bet they have waaay less than you. Just sad.

    • @TxKiller

It’s all good some of these folks are really helpful and others really think I’ll get triggered with a negative comment. I wasn’t trying to “clone” another rifle or say it was the best thing ever. I just wanted to share “my” little thumper build. One thing I have learned about social media is that it gives some folks the power they never had lol. Every video posted on TH-cam has that one person or multiple in the comment section just hating.

I recently built a DMR setup and man did I ever go down the rabbit hole with that one. It took a while because I didn't want to cut any corners and so far with my initial handloads I'm holding around .75" but I think I can tighten things up. But I went with an 18 inch Proof Research match barrel, Geissele SSA-E 2 stage trigger, BCM receiver set, Geissele MK14 handguard, CMC BCG/bolt, Magpul K2 grip and a Trijicon Credo 2-10×36... same buffer tube, stock, and gas block. I have a JP silent captured buffer spring on the way and the Dead Air Sierra 5 I'm about 6 months in on the wait time but I'll be running the OSS HXQD 556 TI can until then. This one looks sick man I love that green coating can't wait to see some coyotes and hogs getting smoked!!!

Even with E-filing its been over 7 months with my last one. If I lived in Texas I'd buy a can every other month knowing I can walk home with it the same day. Biggest ATF Bullsh¡t possible with suppressors. 100% should not even be regulated.

It’s kinda crazy the things Ppl get so technical about like you saying build as opposed to put together but if we really want to get technical…The Word Build is a verb. And it means to construct something by putting parts or material together and you did put the rifle parts together hence you built the rifle therefore you are %100 correct if you say you built it, thanks again for another good video ppl who value your work all appreciate your videos..

I'm a retired tool and diemaker.. got sick when others would use the words I built that tool..in which all we did was take details/parts that was made by cnc machines and assemble them, not like when I first started when I /we took steel stock and made all the parts on manual machines.then years later certain non certified diemakers like to say the words I BUILT THAT DIE , Many many times to make themselves sound important ..when they actually didn't have the skills to even assemble that 30,000$ - 200,000$ tool... So therefore many many things had to be redone..so you guys use that word all you want .cause it's you story tell it the way you want..

That is one sweet DMR build. I wanted an AR15 that would shoot 1/2 groups at 100 yds and it took me 5 tries to do it and one was with a $300.00 criterion barrel and still did not achieve my goal. My final try was with a Ballistic Advantage 18'' 223 wylde 416r premium black series (QPQ) coated barrel. I wish Ballistic Advantage would make the black series in a fluted version. I am getting 1/2 groups at 100 yds with Hornady Frontier 5.56 75 grain BTHP and only cost $14.08 a box. So I was happy that the cheapest match ammo with max FPS was the winning ammo. It even shot better than Federal Gold Metal Match 77 grain.

I have a drop in trigger that likes to let the pins fall out on me resulting in me using anti walk pins. As for the optic, I think the razor g3 is great but, personally for a DMR build, id rather have more magnification and better light transmission at range. I run a viper 3-15. When I told the fudd at my local gun shop i was going to put it on an ar15 you would have thought I spat on his face, lol.

Sweet looking rifle. Love the color scheme. Nice optic. Look... a "DMR" or "SPR" rifle is, by general consensus, an AR with 18" match barrel for the most part. You can put whatever "furniture" on it to suit your personal preferences.
What gets me as a former operator, is all the internet armchair quarterbacks who have an, "opinion".
End of the day, the motto of the SOF community is "Unconventional Warfare" and you learn very quickly to think for YOURSELF and Outside the BOX.
    Keep on Keepin on.
The "SPR"/"DMR" that i put together was basically the Noveske SPR and it's been amazing for me. 1/4 on a Soda can at 760 yards. Milk jug at 1,000 yards on the 3rd shot. I also shoot the DDM4V11Pro. Completed the "JP Challenge" with that rifle. Hit the steel silhouette at 800 yards.... but shoot three times before you hear the report of the first impact. So bang, bang, bang, ding, ding, ding.

I love rifle length gas systems on the AR. Very pleasant to shoot. My cheapest trigger is a CMC, and it's one of my favorites. Gorgeous gun. Very similar to my coyote setup here in Nevada. Liked and subscribed.

The first SDMRs were produced by the USAMU about 25 years ago. It was essentially a match conditioned M16A4 which was distinguished by a Daniel Defense DDM4 rail, two stage Knight’s Armament Trigger, 20 inch 1/8 twist SS Douglas Barrel 1 inch diameter under rail and fluted. Barrel was painted with black Home Depot barbecue grill paint. Front sight was attached to barrel with 4 5/64th set screws and a MaTech rear sight was placed on rifle along with a TA-31F ACOG. Also, ammo was Mk262. Shortly after this rifle appeared the CMP loaned 150 SDMRs to USAMU for SDM Training. These were built by Armalite and had detachable carry handle sight. The barrels were not fluted. At any rate, as a CMP-USAMU Military Rifle Instructor I assisted the USAMU deliver the SDM Course and on most occasions the students shot rack grade M4’s or M16A4’s with detachable carry handle sight/ACOG. These students typically could get center mass hits on the E target at 600yds/meters on completion of training shooting Mk262 from prone grippod supported position with ACOG attached. For sure the bottom line is whatever one’s notion of what constitutes a DMR, the desired result s only come to shooters who have had training to understand ranging, MOA wind constants, slope shooting, bullet drop compensation, shooter/ target analysis, and Minute of Angle/ mil sight adjustments/holds. A good start on this marksmanship training is Small Arms Firing School. It’s an annual 3 day event for civilians at Camp Perry in late July taught by Champion Military Shooters assisted by Champion Civilian Shooters. At event completion students get certificates that permit them to enter CMP Service Rifle Competitions and they can immediately enter an Army authorized M16 Match to test and celebrate their newly acquired skills. Those who finish in top 10% get 4 points toward the 30 needed to earn the US Distinguished Rifleman Badge

Points to you for using the GHA 62gr. Awesome video. My personal DMR, is somewhat similar. YHM upper and rail, Mega Lower, Timney trigger, Shilen barrel. PSA 1-6 18" with a custom compensator, and need to get it suppressed soon. I run PMC 62gr. Well done video. Subscribed.

Thanks for the video. New to the channel and just subscribed. I'm liking the content so far. I only shoot precision rimfire right now, but when i return to the states I'm looking at getting some sort of AR platform. Watching all different channels getting different perspectives and ideas. Thanks for the content, keep it up!
