I think it’s lovely that Paul’s ex wife Angela is such a nice woman and still has an interest in Paul’s past and wanted to put his story out there, and still having a good relationship with Paul after being divorced, there’s not many ex wives out there that would do this especially not knowing Paul was going to pass so soon after. Luckily I have an ex-wife very similar who I still get on great with, is still very caring and one of my best mates. Good on you Angela, so glad you interviewed Paul and produced these tapes.

Shaun's well known for tall tales (no doubt schooled by Ant H Wilson) and the movie 24hr party people, although worth watching, isn't the most reliable document out there.
I've got the original version of the Squirrel album...bought it the week it was released and still have it today. Worth loads...if it was in mint condition. It's well played.

I always thought that Hallelujah CD was the peak Mondays release. It had the rawness of the Bummed sound and the funkiness of Oakenfold's 1st remixes. (Was on heavy rotation in my friends car when we 1st got into ravin' 20 odd years ago. )

The only thing that could have made this series better is if the folk who animated The Ricky Gervais show animated these stories. That'd be essential netflix viewing !

And 24 hour party people was never on Bummed? It was a single after Squirrel and G-Man’ and was added to that album when it was reissued? Regardless of these little details, the fantastic memories and affection here makes for a fantastic listen. For me, Bummed and Pills are 2 total original masterpieces of british music. Paul made incredible work.

That actor who played spud in trainspotting, lay flat on his back for a hour trying to relax before his next scene. Very, very good actor, he redid a outdoor scene about 12 times, picky director. It was filmed in Harrow
Im one of those Glaswegians its weird paul takeing refrence from the doors as they didnt have a bass player ray manzarekmade up for it on the organ mabye this is one of the reasons pauls bass playing was distinct
