Camping in the Catlins // Sony A6300 and Kit Lens

  • Hanging out with friends in a beautiful part of New Zealand. It was too cold and windy to swim, so having brews by the campfire made for an ideal resolution.
    Shot on the Sony A6300 with the kit lens (16-50mm). I haven't filmed at night before, so the low light conditions turned out terrible. It was a fun trip anyway, so thought I may as well use the footage.

    These shots are awesome. great job with the color grade aswell. What profile are you shooting in?

      Burke Cullinane Thanks man! Mostly S-Log 2, and some Cine 4. S-Log 2 is hard to get that 2 stop over exposure, but with another lens it should be sweet

      Yeah it can definitely be difficult, I have the sigma 30mm 1.4, and having that definitely helps. I haven't really messed with cine 4 at all. It didn't really like the color too too much. But I have seen some cool custom settings that give off a pretty great image for cine 4. I was also looking into the EOSHD profiles, have you heard of those?

      They're picture profile settings that are supposed to mimic canon's color science. Here's the site!
