you played it right Kevin... ALWAYS play it safe when out in the bush alone. Listen to your instincts about your surroundings and definitely watch the time.
Really enjoyed this video. I know you were disappointed about not reaching the summit but you made the right call. Safety first. It was great to see you set a good example by making the responsible decision. So many times when people get into trouble in the wilderness, it’s from pushing their limits, lack of preparedness, and lack of situational awareness. The sun may set at 7:30pm but it gets darker faster in the woods.
Getting a head lamp is still a great idea. You’ll probably find it comes in handy around the campsite at night. I also wanted to advise you to resist the temptation to listen to HP or anything else while hiking in the wilderness. There are bears and big cats in that area and maintenance of situational awareness is vital.
Don't worry so much about keeping people entertained. Some of us who plan on this life want to see the low key chill peanut butter and jelly moments. Like how you keep yourself occupied... do you get bored. . Hanging out doing nothing. Netflix and chill. Things like that.
I wonder if I'm the only parent watching who said put the camera down when you went down that ladder...
😂😂😂 in the back of my mind I was telling myself to put the camera down while climbing down 😂
I like how excited you were about the trees 😄 nature does that to me too!
Wow good job,I love your happiness!
Wise to consider cutting short a hike even if you're close to the finish if you're burning daylight. Nothing worse than hiking back in the dark and risking an injury. Beautiful vistas! Yes...off with hiking boots for some toe stretching!
I don't share the compulsion to climb mountains...but enjoy the views when you get there. Keep on truckin'
Well Kevin I did enjoy the video. That hike you went on was a huge accomplishment. So what you didn’t get to the top. You weren’t far from it so I say you made it. You have such a positive attitude. You did get a lot done. Truck fix, food, laundry!!! Yep that’s a lot. Thank you for taking me on the hike and ride. Take care
This was great! Terrifying to me🤠GOD”S Creation never ceases to amaze me.
Thank you Kevin for taking us along on your adventures. Stay safe🙏
Good decision. Be safe. We want to see more of your adventures.
Beautiful views almost at the top I been to Vancouver island 35 years ago seen the mountains there now I want to go to Alaska to see the mountains before I get to old I will be sharing your videos here from Ontario Canada ❤️❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦🇨🇦😎
My gawd, with trails like that, focus is everything! No shame in strategic withdrawal. Those roots can get very slippery. But a beautiful hike, nonetheless. 👍😎🇨🇦 P.S. Beautiful camp in the end of the video!💦💫👌
Great video Kevin. I liked how you referred to the first waterfall as "look, falling water".
😂
Single ear bud is the way to do it. If you ever come over to Powell River let me know. I can tell you about some local things to check out.
The view is amazing
If you make it down towards cowichan valley would love to take you out for a drink or some food and possibly show you a few things on the map that you might wanna explore
Great video.!!
Beautiful hike !!
Ever make fists with your toes when you take off your boots/ shoes after a long day ??..
Sooooo nice !👍
Yes feels great!
I'm 68 from Ontario.....I need to get down to Vancouver Island....I wonder why more people don't live there. I shouldn't say that given that's exactly what I want to get away from. Yup, another introvert here!
I love the hike! So, I took my first video while camping a few days ago (for Practice, lol). Now, all I have to do is edit it. Which editing program do you suggest? I'm not the most tech-savvy. I agree that the best thing after a hike is taking your shoes off!!! Ha, Ha
That’s awesome! I have a MacBook Pro and use Final Cut Pro, if you don’t have a MacBook there is premiere pro and DaVinci resolve, I believe DaVinci is free and premier is a subscription. I bought my MacBook specifically for Final Cut cause I was told it was easier to learn but I am sure the other 2 I suggested could be learned easily too. By your 100th video you’ll be very confident in any of those programs!
🥰😘❤️🇺🇸
