Go one better and use an autorefractor system like the optometrist uses to get a base prescription. Reads the shape of your eye. But even best case, this single dioptre adjustment in the headset doesn't deal with astigmatism and other conditions that spectacles or contacts do.
Honestly $700 for what's essentially a next-gen headset is actually really cool. It's a bit much but honestly it's justifiable imo, as long as the issues are fixed
Another thing I would call an issue is the FoV - it is only 95deg. For those with a very wide natural FoV, that is going to break the VR immersion a lot.
11:02 Thrill hints at bigscreen beyond! I was wondering when I heard it here. So it was in this video! And I was thinking "wait.. Isn't the bigscreen beyond just like an arpara with its issues fixed?"
I thought the same thing I've been waiting for a micro oled vr headset; Apara has lost my interest then it shifted to shiftall megane x but after hearing their price and multiple delays from their other products too the only one who's getting my money now is Bigscreen beyond.
I've been following you for awhile now, I love how you pull all this various information together into one video giving not just a general overview but comparisons, thoughts of improvements an new instalments, thanks for keeping the content up to date an polished. We notice.

11:04 "And here's some insider information for, I guess, everybody. I can't say who it's coming from, or when, or exact details, but this type of headset, except WAY better, is coming. And its not from who you think it is. It's real, and it's coming, *I've even tried it.* Micro OLED technology in this form factor is exactly the sort of thing I want in a premium PCVR headset..." Whatever this is, Thrill was willing to almost break his NDA to inform us, so it must be good. And if he has already tried it it can't be very far either.
I really appreciate my eyes, so not only does it have to be fixed by not going out of focus; I say it should be fully automatic/motorized and nearly permanent when 100% focused. Otherwise, I can't see myself using it. Other then that It seem amazing. I would love to get one sometime in the future as this quite literally seems to be the future of VR.
Problem is, even that wouldn't work. At my optometrist they have a specialized machine that can measure your prescription automatically. It's still not 100% right. The doctor has to modify it to suit the individual person. If a highly specialized piece of medical equipment can't guess your prescription suitably, there's no way a VR headset is going to do it.
Probably not that kind of automatic, more realistically the focus would be motor controlled and adjusted by software with an app that has various visual tests so you can dial it in perfectly. No touching it with your hands, but still user set and controlled.
Agreed, if I'm going to buy a headset with vision adjustment, it has to be electronically controlled, and with the ability to plug a prescription into the settings and get it perfect.
Honestly I think its great you can dial in yourself, but it is really important to be aware that you should NOT dial in your current prescription, for example if you are -5 then you have to dial in -4 or so, because the panel is not projected too far from your eyes.
@@endrow9991 That's easy to handle by the software doing conversions in the background for user friendliness. For physical dials, move the markings accordingly. Plugging in the prescription as given is best if someone has theirs since otherwise it's more work for the end user and too confusing. You'd get people plugging in their prescription anyway or adjusting it in the wrong direction no matter how prominent the notice.
dang, this looks so freaking epic! i can see how these problems would affect your experience with this VR but it sounds like the company is definitely working on them (at least i pray they are) I can not wait to see will come from them in the near future.
Thank God you’re so honest! You made some great points. If I spend $800, I expect quality and performance! Can’t wait to see what the final product looks like. I’m also looking forward to smaller stand alone headsets.
I've been waiting for this to get a review before considering buying. Specs seemed great for the size and I was thinking about the preorder special but practically no one reviewed. Thank you!
I'm still rocking the Reverb G2 with index knuckles and 4 base stations. It is a killer setup but I feel like the perfect headset is still just a little bit out of reach. Crossing my fingers for the next couple years.
Given not even 5 years ago, vr was still a “hey, they game a lot with a $2k Pc so I could see why they spend that much money on vr” type situation and it was still relatively new, and looking at the fact that now you can get a meta quest or other decent headsets for the price of a gaming console I’d imagine it will progress very quickly within the next 5 years to the point where we might even have readily available commercial haptic equipment/suits. Very excited and glad I’m at the prime age of experience this as it grows so well see what the the very near future holds
I can't for the life of me, get the index controllers to track to an acceptable level when using the G2. Makes me sad, because when it works its amazing, but man, it's more bad than good, even after tweaking the settings and adjusting the position of the controllers. I just wish the G2 had steam support built in. WMR is just soooo bad as well. I'm jealous of people that get it working so well. Not sure where I'm going wrong.
@@johncamp5737 I had that problem in the beginning too. When calibrating tutorials have you put both G2 and index controllers in one hand with one upside down. What works for me was putting one in each hand held normally and I pressed my thumbs together as a way to somewhat fix the position of the two controllers relative to each other. Instead of doing a figure 8 pattern during calibration I just rotated 360° both directions with the slow tracking setting and I just stared directly at the controllers while pointing them in a zigzag pattern pointing up and down throughout my playspace. Sounds dumb but that's all it took to go from unusable to awesome.
I would totally buy this once all the problems are fixed as my first vr headset. I hope they are listening and fix this soon! Super competent and interesting!

Was going to ask you if it was cheap... then you answered that question. The issues you've mentioned are definitely trouble for me, but I've been preparing to get an Index headset for a while. I'll keep a look on this. If they get to a stage where you think it's good enough for a true enthusiast, please do make another video on it. The future is looking good.
thank you for existing thrill i literally listen to your videos while drawing but i like that i can get whatever I need to know from your videos while also being entertained
Funny, most ppl I know who have an Index, including myself, refuse to switch. It really is the whole package, even if it isn't the best at any one particular aspect. I mean the thing is 3 years old with nary a physical update. Considering this is all new tech, that's pretty impressive.
Why unnecessarily replace something? My car which I bought used is 15 years old, it still works as a car and getting something newer is an unnecessary expense. However if I didn't already own a car there's no way in hell I'd buy it, it's too outdated in too many ways now compared to when I bought it. That's why this is year 2 of me waiting for a VR headset to buy which isn't outdated in any way from the start, particularly visuals and tracking, it's a major expense and I need to get longevity out of it.
@@Lord_of_Dread Yeah, but most people aren't running desktop VR in the first place. Flatscreen gaming is still dominant, and the vast majority just need powerful enough for that.
What a great video. As A viewer I get all the information I need to make an informed decision and if I was an Arpara dev I would get all the information I needed to fix and upgrade the devices. All around a really good video with good editing/lighting/music to make it all very enjoyable. Thanks man your efforts show, keep it up!
I prefer better FOV and pixel density than small vr headsets. But a small headset like that with a resolution and refresh rate like that... all we need now is the same thing but with a 180 degree FOV.
We certainly need more FOV. I've only used CV1, Q1 and G2 so far, but I can't get how they keep dropping new headsets that don't even have Index FOV at least. And thanks to fuckin' (there's no _less_ "language" word for it, just take it!) glaucoma, my very own FOV is pretty limited already, but even I would love more in my headset, especially when looking down (the G2 is exceptionally bad here). It's time to get rid of the bog rolls on our faces.
Wonder what company ThrillSeeker’s talking about… I’m sure Apple has an interest in creating compact headsets like this, but I think they’re also leaning towards augmented reality rather than full vr.
I think Apple's goal is to do AR, but all the rumors about their first headset seems to be VR/passthrough. I've been skeptical about the drawings/renderings of what the Apple unit might look like, but this video makes it much more plausible. Smooth out the bumps on this Arpara unit's index tracker and "Apple-ify" the overall design, and you've got the rumor images of Apple's unit.
I kinda doubt Apple has something ready to reach out to influencers quite yet, but they are definitely working VR as well as AR - a lot of the leaks point to them basically designing a MacBook Pro class device baked into the HMD with dual M1max chips - which kinda makes me think its unlikely that they'd have something in this form factor, unless it links to a wearable device of some sort.
Probably the Shiftall MeganeX which uses Micro OLED too. It's out later this year. I'm assuming this is an old recording he's only just uploaded as the MeganeX isn't a secret anymore.
@@Quayledant Speculation I've read, is that the holes on the "horns" of the MeganeX will be for Ultrasonic tracking for the controllers, like with the first Vive Focus. That headset also had 4 little holes in the headset in each corner.
I don't mind fixing it tbh, and got it for the cheapest kickstarter price so I'm probably going to be very happy. The only thing I would really really want changed is the option to shift the diopter while wearing the headset. Btw, how does the diopter work? Do the numbers on it match up with eye sight measurements or whatever? Or is it just trial and error? Like if you know your prescription then can you tune that is by looking at the numbers on the ring? Also, on the other mysterious headset you mentioned. Could we know if it's coming in the next 6 months or so? I think Arpara could be a good stop gap for many enthusiasts if this other headset is more than 6 months out.
Yep, that's how the diopter works... At least, in theory. In reality, the numbers are close enough together that it's difficult to know if you got it right, or if it's out by half a diopter or so. Also... Who knows if the diopter markings and lenses are really calibrated properly? They COULD be, but are they? Really didn't feel like it, in my experience. I tried just putting everything at my prescription 1:1, as precisely as I could visually manage. And yet it still felt off. After that point, I gave up on going by the numbers and just went by feel. If you try to do both eyes at once, seems like you can never get it right. When you do one eye at a time, you get the left eye to feel good, right eye, then open both and... It feels off still. Is it the left or the right that's off? It's really just such a pain! Lol.
Thank you. The review I've been waiting for as an Arpara KS backer. Almost cancelled my pledge due to them not getting a unit to you to review before KS end but decided to risk it for the OLED blacks. Plus Arpara do seem to be listening to criticism and doing their best to fix the flaws. After your review I'm so glad I didn't bail. Sure it's not perfect but at the KS price I wasn't expecting it to be. But I think they've pretty much got right what's most important. Can't wait to try this headset with Elite Dangerous. Also hoping it'll work well with the Axis full body tracking system which looks like another promising KS.
That diopter issue is a massive deal breaker. My Quest 2 actually helps my vision. I’ll never switch to a headset that causes vision problems in both the short and long term.
on the topic of OLEDs, I often times go back to my quest 1 instead of my quest 2 when playing virtual desktop or with my link cable for games like half life alyx because of its use of darkness, and how great the blacks are on the quest 1 over the 2
The lens wheel adjustment I feel wouldnt be too hard to work around. Once you dial it in I would just put a dab of hot glue on it that way it never moves again.
Im super hooked to your every vid. waiting for the fated day when you deeply recommend a new headset that is 4-5k+ quality and not too extreme cost. I'll buy it right away, but until then, i'll calmly wait for it ^^ Got the quest 2 but the pix quality is a bit too low to keep me hooked on it. So fking hyped!
@ThrillSeeker 11:08 Any updates on that mysterious headset you hinted at? 1 month starved of info :P It's interesting to see more competition on the horizon. Thanks for the videos!
I tried one of those last year after years of dk2, vive, then index and it's so awful it looks like a vcr in a tiny 13" crt plus the nausea of not having any motion tracking. I would love to fly a drone with a 360 stabilized VR video feed
This is genuinely so close to what I want, and it annoys me because I know that probably in the next year it will become a reality. I own a G2 right now, and I like it, but the weight is probably the biggest drawback for me. I’ve fixed a lot of it with weight offsets, but it’s just not ideal. I wonder when I’ll actually bother to upgrade since I just got into VR.
G2? Weight issues? Put on an index to see real weight issues and the index isnt too bad anyways. G2 was the most comfortable headset ive ever put on my head
I think Arpara was trying too hard to make the headset as cheap as possible. If they increased the price to a flat $1k and used it to fix all the issues you mentioned and improve the build quality I think they will have a serious Index competitor on thier hands.
700 is the top of a price I might consider; 1000 is firmly in the 'I have better things to spend my money on' territory. I suspect 700 is already pushing it for most people.
@@Rhodochrone the OLED screens are very light. Having a higher FOV and resolution may not add as much weight as you might think. My point is I'd rather have a higher FOV headset, than a smaller headset, if they weigh about the same and fit well.
Stopped their campaign? i didn't hear about this an i backed this **** .... But yes im also on the verge of it being a scam by now, no communication since last september... looks like a clean hit&run...
Nice, interesting review mate and I'm sure we'll all be interested to see how this and other micro-oled headsets pan out in the near future. Personally, as much as I love SteamVR lighthouse tracking with my +2.5yo Vive Pro (amoled screens, Etsy lens mod, and Index controllers) I do prefer inside-out tracking like with my Quest 2, esp. wireless PCVR with Air Link. Also, the thing most reviewers fail to mention is that other than Valve/Vive headsets, other so-called SteamVR headsets (like Pimax and Vario Aero), due to Valve licencing restrictions, cannot use the lighthouse Blue Tooth to power on/off the base stations, and maybe even the controllers. Hopefully this is something that will get sorted out eventually. Thanks again for your vids mate and cheers.
@TEAM BANANA The diesel engine, named after Rudolf Diesel, is an internal combustion engine in which ignition of the fuel is caused by the elevated temperature of the air in the cylinder due to mechanical compression; thus, the diesel engine is a so-called compression-ignition engine (CI engine). This contrasts with engines using spark plug-ignition of the air-fuel mixture, such as a petrol engine (gasoline engine) or a gas engine (using a gaseous fuel like natural gas or liquefied petroleum gas)
…🤔 I’m not sure having the SMALLEST or LARGEST vr headsets is the way to go, for the same reason why companies like Apple always wanted to go with the SMALLEST laptop. Apple kept wanting to give us the smallest, thinnest things, and they would sell us a 3k laptop with no ports because it was too small to have ports🤣🙄🙄🙄 I don’t think it’s good that companies want to go to the extremes in terms of size, whether smallest, thinnest, lightest, largest…it ends up hurting the very product they’re making. A nice middle size is the way to go. You go with smallest, you end up with shit quality and screens, no ports ect, just like you wouldn’t want the largest due to weight. Again, Apple going with the “thinnest iPhone” just meant their product was so thin it bent in your pocket🤣 I feel like these are no brainers and yet companies still go for the extremes
You know this isn't a phone right? Comparing a VR headset to a phone is like comparing a phone to a car. The way you use it, it's purpose and how it's stored is completely different. Smaller VR headset = Less weight = less strain = being able to be used for longer periods. It's not the same tech, don't compare them. No one wants a small microwave for obvious reasons as well.
@@NaJk93 I understand What you are saying. You can’t compare EVERYTHING. But yes😭 a phone is more like a vr headset then a car🤣🙄. In fact, a lot of vr headsets, including the one I have..literally just use the phone as the screen and the casing around it is just a plastic case, and the “vr” is the software on the phone. Hence google cardboard, Samsung Gear VR, Merge VR goggles🤣. Again, yes, I understand what you were trying to say, but they WAY you said it was🙄🤣😭
@@NaJk93 The whole point of what I was trying to say is- Yes, we want smaller and lighter vr headsets, but NO, don’t make “The Smallest VR Headset Ever Made- Coming 2023”🙄 “ “so small it has no ports, no buttons, will crack if you shake your head too much, SO small we had to use 720p displays because WE WANT SMALL!”
@@tiberiusbaxter7595 that isn't what happened to phones tho. They got smaller but higher resolutions. They just removed ports on phones to sell you shit.

ThrillSeeker, it seems you have a good way of contacting and convincing Arpara to do some things to fix their headsets. If anyone could convince them to make the world's best headset, I think it's you.
Thank you so much for the honest review, when I have heard about Arpara tethered, I have really about to get the hands on one through their kickstarter, the specs, especially the uOLED and its weight are incredible specs. Sponsored reviews on YT made it look fine, then I found a reddit review talking about the blurriness so I resigned, but was still hesitant. Now you totally convinced me and saved me. I'm having great hopes for Arpara or the short term future of VR tho, because I feel they achieved the hardest part. And as you said, not even the Pimax 12K, at least for the price, sounded more attractive than an Arpara without the flaws (to me, large FOV, over Valve index one, is overrated).
I feel like I should mention the Shiftall MeganeX (Me-Ga-Ne), because it has almost everything this headset has, just without base station tracking, and the FOV is a bit bigger than the Arpara headsets, and the MeganeX is slated for a spring release around $900 for the whole package, and it has the diopter adjustment on the outside of the headset instead of on the lenses themselves, and their controllers are still in development, but it's highly suggested that the controllers will track themselves like how Project Cambria and the Magic Leap 2 controllers do. So if I were to give people a recommendation, instead of the Arpara 5K or AIO, go with the MeganeX instead, it does almost everything better than the Arpara from what we know so far, and it's around 215-230 grams, so it's nearly just as light as the Arpara, and I'm quite sure that the cable will be around Index or Vive cable length. So if there's a headset I would ask others to look out for, for those who want a small form factor with great colors and mechanical IPD adjustment, it would be the MeganeX. (fun fact: Megane means glasses in Japanese, which fits the headset well because it looks just like a pair of glasses)
Hollycrap I’ll tell you what, I’m super excited for whatever the Insider headset will be. Now all I need to know is when it’s going to be announced/released lmao. I guess I gotta hold off from buying an Index for a bit longer!
Dude, I know so many people who would love to try VR, but without the dioptic adjustment it's essentially impossible. You have to just have to have good eyesight, because there's no fix. But this? This is fantastic!

I'm a bit late to reply here, but I was one of the ones who decided to adopt this early on in it's Kickstarter. I've been looking to get into the VR scene and wasn't particularly content with what was out there. While the Quest 2 has been quite good, especially for the price, I wanted something a bit...better. It does seem they've made huge efforts to try and correct some of the problems mentioned in this video and others. I'm really hoping that it makes it that much better of an experience. Here's hoping! :)
Thank you for checking out all these alternatives coming from China. Pico Neo 3 is being aggressively promoted here, but I'm more excited about the Arpara Standalone they are working on, as well as next versions of Huawei VR Glass. If you get a chance to get your hands on one, I recommend trying out the Huawei VR Glass with the 6Dof add-on that supposedly makes it a viable VR headset (without it, it's just a VR display for your phone)
Very good video, you pointed out the flaws and intelligently described them and that they are fixible and no deal-breakers depending on how much of a tinkerer you are. This was much better than Mike from VR Oasis basically glossing over the good and trashing it for not having a comfortable headstrap and face foam. I mean not one person thought the cloth headstrap that shipped with the Quest 2 was good and the facial foam literally put kids in hospitals, but hey Big Daddy Oculus is sponsoring us so..go buy a Quest and sell your data to FaceBook/Meta.

@@randomcommenter3726 yes its without those, controllers and basestations cost another 600$,luckily i already have them
It is almost just right.
@@Cazanu417 damn, the total costs is very expensive
We notice.
Thanks for the encouraging words about fixing your headset and having hope Thrill. I've been struggling to get my headset working with my PC because it has some connection over wifi problems and this has inspired me to try to give it another try and figure it out, so thanks :)
Really solid content coming from this channel lately, I really appreciate it and look forward to each upload.
11:04 "And here's some insider information for, I guess, everybody. I can't say who it's coming from, or when, or exact details, but this type of headset, except WAY better, is coming. And its not from who you think it is. It's real, and it's coming, *I've even tried it.* Micro OLED technology in this form factor is exactly the sort of thing I want in a premium PCVR headset..."
Whatever this is, Thrill was willing to almost break his NDA to inform us, so it must be good. And if he has already tried it it can't be very far either.

that was a rollercoaster of emotions throughout the entire video, and i felt it, thank you for the video i enjoyed it a lot
If Arpara can nail the micro headset market then I gladly await their growth, more competition and a movement to tech that isn't bulky.
This was extremely informational and really cool thanks for the upload looking forward for more

Thank you!
Whats the WORST actual vr headset you’ve ever tried or haven’t tried besides that one with nolo tracking or a gear vr?
Cosmos probably lol
@@HeadsetHistorian or oculus go 🤔

If you're doing this for QOTW you have to add QOTW to the begining. 😊
Gear vr is pretty good my dude
you're an amazing reviewer! thank you for that. Im a backer for the arpara and I hope they listen to you.
@@eli6797 I hate that people call it a "Meta quest" now.
I'm still rocking an Odyssey+ with some lightly dmged controllers.
Dude I've been holding out for a Odyssey 2 for awhile. WMR gang for life.
REALLY excited to see what the "Insider Information" turns out being.. I have been holding off on buying a new headset. I still have a first gen HTC Vive... And I hope whatever he is eluding to is my next step deeper.

The issues you've mentioned are definitely trouble for me, but I've been preparing to get an Index headset for a while.
I'll keep a look on this. If they get to a stage where you think it's good enough for a true enthusiast, please do make another video on it.
The future is looking good.
Better believe size matters ! Its so exciting to see oled again and in such a small headset
thank you for existing thrill i literally listen to your videos while drawing but i like that i can get whatever I need to know from your videos while also being entertained
Funny, most ppl I know who have an Index, including myself, refuse to switch. It really is the whole package, even if it isn't the best at any one particular aspect. I mean the thing is 3 years old with nary a physical update. Considering this is all new tech, that's pretty impressive.
Really makes you wonder as to how crazy the Index 2 will be, since the Index is already 3 years old.
All praise Lord gaben
Why unnecessarily replace something? My car which I bought used is 15 years old, it still works as a car and getting something newer is an unnecessary expense. However if I didn't already own a car there's no way in hell I'd buy it, it's too outdated in too many ways now compared to when I bought it. That's why this is year 2 of me waiting for a VR headset to buy which isn't outdated in any way from the start, particularly visuals and tracking, it's a major expense and I need to get longevity out of it.
TBF, most GPUs people actually have can barely even run the index, let alone higher resolution HMDs.
@@Lord_of_Dread Yeah, but most people aren't running desktop VR in the first place. Flatscreen gaming is still dominant, and the vast majority just need powerful enough for that.

The day that kinda game changer goes wireless will be big~ Can't wait for the true "Next generation"
I prefer better FOV and pixel density than small vr headsets. But a small headset like that with a resolution and refresh rate like that... all we need now is the same thing but with a 180 degree FOV.
I'm really curious if 180° is even possible with a small headset like this and how it could be done
do humans even see/need 180° FOV? if 95° is acceptable, we can live easily with like 120°.
@@Dionyzos It is possible with compact lenses and microdisplays. Look at the technology HyperVision has developed.
I waited on VR long enough to get the Index. Totally the right call. I hope things keep improving, it'd be nice to have an upgrade someday.
Wonder what company ThrillSeeker’s talking about…
I’m sure Apple has an interest in creating compact headsets like this, but I think they’re also leaning towards augmented reality rather than full vr.
My guess is snapchat or google
Best feedback ever for Arpara. Nice one Thrill!
Lol.
@@ReavoEnd ah damn, that's frustrating. I wonder if it's better to just set it to zero and wear glasses (maybe using a 3d printed spacer or something.

Hey Thrill, could you tell us what music was playing at around the 10:30 mark? Sounds wonderful
The lens wheel adjustment I feel wouldnt be too hard to work around. Once you dial it in I would just put a dab of hot glue on it that way it never moves again.

@ThrillSeeker 11:08 Any updates on that mysterious headset you hinted at? 1 month starved of info :P It's interesting to see more competition on the horizon. Thanks for the videos!
They remind me of those weird goggle/headphones they made a few years ago for drones
I tried one of those last year after years of dk2, vive, then index and it's so awful it looks like a vcr in a tiny 13" crt plus the nausea of not having any motion tracking. I would love to fly a drone with a 360 stabilized VR video feed
Solid commentary on this HMD. Only wish was to have heard impressions about the FOV.
Awesome man thanks! Great review! Definitely want to try this one. Excited also to see what other new headsets come out soon
I suspect 700 is already pushing it for most people.
this is great! I've been wanting VR to start getting smaller and lighter weight. I'm excited to see where this takes future headsets

so much and hopefully some day it will be in schools, work places, and hospitals.
As for comfort, I don't care how big a VR headset is. It needs to be light and fit good. I'm ever looking at the outside of my headset anyway.
the size correlates to the weight. vr headsets are only as big as they need to be. it's not like the materials inside are that varied between hmds
@@Rhodochrone the OLED screens are very light. Having a higher FOV and resolution may not add as much weight as you might think.

Deez.
Who is deez?
I have no idea

ThrillSeeker, it seems you have a good way of contacting and convincing Arpara to do some things to fix their headsets. If anyone could convince them to make the world's best headset, I think it's you.
I really hope they listen to you. These all sound easily solvable. This could be such a banger of a headset with one more revision.

Dude you are the People’s Voice of VR 👑
Hope to hear about that mystery headset soon, that’s super exciting.
It's an early days first attempt. Still pumped to get one and mess around with it. Good info!
Such good content! Thanks Thrill.
Dude, I know so many people who would love to try VR, but without the dioptic adjustment it's essentially impossible. You have to just have to have good eyesight, because there's no fix.
But this? This is fantastic!
Why doesn't Thrill not have 1 Mill followers yet?! He definitely deserves it! Remember that one time he did liquid cooling Quest vid? Give him credit and love Ya'll and share him across the metaverse!! :D
The video was awesome! Great review and it was very well rhythmed
I love that you gave the pros and cons
Thank you for checking out all these alternatives coming from China. Pico Neo 3 is being aggressively promoted here, but I'm more excited about the Arpara Standalone they are working on, as well as next versions of Huawei VR Glass.
If you get a chance to get your hands on one, I recommend trying out the Huawei VR Glass with the 6Dof add-on that supposedly makes it a viable VR headset (without it, it's just a VR display for your phone)
This is like the perfect application of 3d printing! It allows you to effectively reengineer an ok product to be an actually good product!

Yes, the one coming from Shiftall! It's not out yet, but do check it out when it comes out!
I just love how this Cat's channel's rather fairly balanced and unbiased! I've tuned in regularly checking in from time to time, especially simce I've been keeping a close watch on the whole VR market ever since DK1 back in Early 2013, and have dreamt of VR for years since I was just 10 or so years old!! I've been through all the various "phases" of VR.., Honeymoon-Periods, the akward 2 years of regularly Checking into VR Chat from 2019 on throughout the Pamdemic, and into the SUDDEN Blast of VR into the Mainstream, and Grudgingly sitting tight as Both Those Japanese Full Body trackers sold out in less than a Day before I could order a set as an alternative to the December of this year backorder I was placed on for SLime VR!! It's a major drag / bummer, though I appreciate this channel Helping point me into full body trackimg options that support blanket Occlusion over Steam Trackers, and my Hype for VR continues to grow each day as slowly more and more Exciting Developments take shape!! I feel if I could just get word of the upcoming 7000 Series Rayzen PC's or shoot, a 6000 Series Labtop this Summer to Upgrade my barely VR capable 8th_Gen-Intel I Core-7, Gtx-1060 Alienware Labtop, then I Could FiNaLly get situated towards a place I actually belong for a change!! Thanks for the full coverage of both Popular Brands as well as the lesser known VR tech!! I truly applaud that, since I was shy about being an Oculus ((now Meta)) user, thinking I'd be judged from the Valvle Index / Steam Folk in VRchat and what not, and this guy doesn't seem to wave a "Pepsi Only No Coke" type party flag!! He even admitted that TH-camrs struggle with what viewers demand from the algorithm feedback, which caused him to make more Quest related content, and that sorta transparency is GOLDEN!! It warms my once little Emo-Kid's Black Heart and realize just how we're all Human, Connected in this new Digital Fromtier.., and not matter if We're Highly Viewed Public Fogures, or simple unknown Content Consumers, we all effectively shape and Influence each other in these Endeavors!! Something I've most longfully wished for, connectedness, which ia what VR had always intended to Originally set out to achieve..., like the good 'ol days of Playing Vanilla / BC World Of Warcrat with friends / online community clans!! Perhaps if VR gets mainstream enough, my dream of a WOW Classic Plus VR or Classic Kingdom Hearts Remake VR, or Hirez Studios's Paladins Hero Shooter in VR may someday come true!! Sincerely, A Fanboy ~《SKhairKro89》~
Can’t wait to see the one you’re alluding too. And the Apple version. Great work on this video.
