- I've written a bunch of essays on songwriting/creativity/mythology. I plan to have them all in a proper book someday. Right now i'm just reading them here on youtube for fun and friends. I read all the essays at my annual gathering of songwriters in the West TX desert. "The Crooked Crow Songwriter's Retreat". If you're a songwriter and love the American Southwest you should think about joining us one year.
Super great! Lovely essay.
"worse than drinking......decafe. 😂
Love this. I also love your no bs videos. None of all that TH-cam eye candy editing. The only thing that really matters are the words!
Hey thanks man! means a lot to me that you listened to it and left a comment. I also saw that you covered "If I go, I'm Goin. Thank you....nicely done. You sound great. cheers ...and stay off that Decaf ... :-)
Aw man, this is so beautiful, makes me wistful and excited about writing songs again. Fingers crossed that I’m in for this fall. Much love.
Thank you Bobby. Hopefully see you at Crooked Crow
This is so good. My favorite: 'This fear is more dangerous than drinking...........decaf.' 😂
Thank you Dan! I was proud of that de-cafe joke...lol. I also saw that you covered " One Day". You sound great and it made me happy to hear it. I appreciate it.
That was so awesome! So relatable and artistically done. Thanks! It is so relieving to hear about all the crazy symptoms people overcome when they realize it is fear and do what is necessary to face it.
Thanks man...means a lot to me that you took a listen and left a comment. I really appreciate your channel and the work you do.
Of course! I listened to some of your music as well. It is really really fucking good. Let's stay in touch, I can tell I could learn a lot from you. Maybe we could do a podcast or something and talk about music and mindbody stuff:)@@jwagnersongs
Excellent advice!
This was an incredible essay and a wonderful reading. Thanks for posting!
Thanks Parker . Means a lot to me
That makes a lot of sense! 😅
But seriously, that's great advice because trying to hold too much control over one's songs is a super sneaky trap.
Hey Nels... I agree...holding on to tight never lets the beauty in.
Love this. Thank you.
Thank you John. We need to get you out to Crooked Crow in 2024.
@@jwagnersongs Yes please!
at the FONMPS anonymous meeting last week they told me the first step is admitting you have a problem
Step eight is the rough one. You have to write an apology letter to all of those you hurt from holding on to FNMPS for so long. See you in Montrose this summer buddy.
