  • In this video I show you where the wiring is for the upfitter switches on your 2017-2021 ford superduty

Thank you. The 08-16 upfitter switch wiring is one of my more popular videos I figured while I have the truck in I would make a video for the newer trucks.

Great video very helpful trying to hook up light bars. FYI the diesel trucks have a fuse box on both sides the passenger side one is the largest and has almost all the fuses for the truck the drivers side looks just like this one shown again on diesel trucks.

I am building a 2019 F650. It has a 3 valve v10. Where is the location to hook up my lights to the upfitter? I was told there are wires taped in a few spots. But, had no luck finding them. The truck has the factory switches. Just dont know where to look under the hood. Thanks.

Quick question: I'm wiring a light bar into one of our utility trucks for next winters early darkness. Let just say its going into Aux two for whatever reason.
If I wire my positive off of the light to this harness where then does my black go? You said there is only on wire to each fuse. Am i missing something?

Just run it to battery ground or chassis ground. Almost any metal part of the vehicle will be ground for the black wire, and the wire from the switch will be positive.

@@JasonTheMunicipalMechanic I'll use the frame ground the engineers used! Thanks 👍🏻

It’s a diesel gasoline thing for location. That gas engine makes the engine bad look empty lol. I got a 2022 f350 powerstroke and it’s essentially the same as a 21 and there’s 0 room left over in my engine bay

I know what you mean. We have 5 trucks with the 6.7 and they are not fun to work on.

@@JasonTheMunicipalMechanic i can see that lol… I looked in my engine bay at my 6.7, I’m dredging anything going wrong… thankfully it has warranty since it’s new, but after that, it’s on me

Once you get some of the stuff off the top it starts to look like an engine again. All ours are 2011 to 2016. I have a playlist for 6.7 repairs and maintenance you may be interested in. th-cam.com/play/PLRbLKd2i_Uy6L5mKCSXz8bEDhUT1QvCUD.html

@@JasonTheMunicipalMechanic and when you say that, you mean for servicing? Not removing stuff permanently? I looked at the top of my Motor, doesn’t look like there’s anything to be removed that would stay off. Air intake is a straight tube, no huge resonator box or anything.

Yeah I didn’t mean any deletion or anything. I was just talking for service and repairs.
