- In this video we use our 2022 f350, with the 7.3 godzilla v8, to show how to wire up-fitter switches.
In my videos I talk about my experience daily driving my F450. My truck has updated 6.7 Powerstroke with 1,050 LB-FT of Torque and 475hp. I also feature my 2019 F250 with the 6.2 L gas v8. Comment below and thanks for watching!

SUPER HELPFUL and INFORMATIVE! Thank you for making this video
Bar none the best video I've seen on this. Thank you for your time brother and this has helped me tremendously.
Good video 📹 going to come back for these instructions.
Good video DS thanks for the info. I want to put some rock lights on my platinum here soon.
Question is the uplifted factory grounded. Let’s say you use blue & white wire on the positive red wire like a cb radio do you need to run a ground or is it factory grounded. Thanks
Is this a ranger or ranger rapter because I don’t know
Really appreciate the quality of audio and video - thanks!
NOTE - 2023 MODELS HAVE CHANGED READ FORD BODY BUILDERS LAYOUT BOOK FOR DETAILS .
Indeed, they changed the entire electrical architecture of the truck. For example, you CANNOT remove the bed for upfit on any model except for a bare bones XL or XLT. This has caused quite a bit of grief for upfitters...flatbeds, service bodies, campers, etc.
Allot Change for 2023. Upfitter switchs are the same.
Twist the wires together and let the heat shrink do the rest? Sounds like fuzzy logic so I decided to use a crimp tool
If you're using marine grade shrink tube it glues everything together...
Excellent video
Can you do it for me
Need help please.
Working on a 24’ F550 upfitter.
I need the parking brake switch for the SEIC, need to figure out how to get the ground signal to it
You have a smooth way of explaining. Nice point to point showing what is where.
Just curious, what gauge is your nice ground wire?
12 Gauge I believe
I missed the part of you showing how to wire the upfitter switches.......
2017 - 2019 Up fitter switch wires are on the driver side? 2020 and above are on the passenger side?
awesome explanation dude! big thanks
Great showing and explaining.
Where did you get your switch kit from. I’d love to put that 6 way switch in my 2017 f350 xl model truck. Is it hard to find?
Yes. It came on the truck from Ford
@@DS-TRUCKS dang. Mine didn’t have them and I want to add them in but the kits I see so far seem cheap and have mixed reviews. Thanks for the info man.
Obviously not everything I need to know.
I was looking for the color map to which aux switches
What else u need to know
Great job on the Video & Description…. Grand Slam my friend
Well done! You gave what appears to be good information and with a lot of explanation.
Not to complain about this video it's very good for what most people want to do, but why do none of these videos on uplifter switches cover the pass through in the cab. I want to use an uplifter switch for a non powered circuit and I was told I could splice into the pass through under the dash somewhere. What I'm doing, I know is a little ridiculous but I can't stand the door open chime so I cut the wires for the switch to short out the switch to simulate the door being closed. This led to an issue because it now won't recognize the door open and shut off power to the head unit so I soldered them back together with an extra wire on each and want to run them to an uplifter switch without power so I have a door chime kill switch
I can show you the pass through wires. But.. what you are trying to do probably won't work.
th-cam.com/users/shorts1COBzopfdFk?si=uS1lg4vYiR2_S4wa there u go... but I don't recommend interrupting your door sensor...
I have the pass through wires, but it seems they are output only, I am going to try to bypass the power block but I don't know if the switches will work not powered to the relay.
May just be time to give up and use a toggle switch
This is only for temporary use such as detailing the vehicle, hanging out at work with the door open. Last vehicle I just cut the wire and it never recognized the door being open, which led to the ignition power and head unit staying on and me killing batteries so that's why I want to do it on a switch this time
@@jasonklim27 well. It could probably be turned off with Forscan.
Great video bro
Any idea where I can actually buy the switch panel? Got a part number. Excellent work stokes
Forums for parts list. EBay for parts
Checkout boosted grey goose designs. They sell the harness and instructions for install come with it. I helped a buddy install the harness and everything on his SD. It was time consuming.
I had no idea the whole box came out! I'd struggle to splice wiring on my 17 6.7! Can I shoot you a message and ask you something about the display brightness? I haven't found anyone with any answer and maybe you have it haha
Yes
What's your question?
@@DS-TRUCKS when I got my truck, the display in reverse was the same brightness as the dash, after one of the updates reverse now comes on full brightness and there's no way I can find to change it. (When the display changes to the backup camera)
@@Craftedinnj are your headlights set to auto?
@@DS-TRUCKS no sir, never had them set to auto even when the display stayed at the desired level in reverse. It was definitely a software update that changed it, just wish I could lower it when reversing. It's bright enough that I can't see out of my windows
Great job
Great explanation. Helpful. Do you know what the 4 round holes by the switches are. Are they speakers? Thanks
Motion detectors. When something moves inside of your vehicle and it's locked. They detect motion and sound your vehicles alarm.
useless
