"Rue plumet & In my Life" from "Les Miserables" Judy kuhn - Cosette Michael Ball - Marius Lea Salonga - Eponine The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by David Charles Abell
I love Cosette when portrayed the right way (not to say that there is a wrong way, I just mean in my own personal preference) I'm not crazy about the cutesy approach that so many Cosette's take and I often don't buy it when they sing about the love that they found. They usually are upstaged by Éponine. Judy is just incredible and puts a lot into the character :)
@@carladilisio4819 Not so fast! *Judy Kuhn* had _more_ to sing as *Pocahontas* ("Just Around the Riverbend," "Colors of the Wind," "If I Never Knew You," and bits of "Savages") than *Lea Salonga* had as *Jasmine* ("A Whole New World") or *Mulan* ("Reflection," bits of "Honor to Us All," and one line in "I'll Make a Man Out of You" and "A Girl Worth Fighting For"). So there. 😂
I think I like Katie Hall more as Cosette because she is more relatable as a silly, young teenager falling in love at first sight. Katie, to me, is just more believable. Although Judy's voice is just lovely.
@ExitSiign listen to david bryant sing it live and you wont say that, fortunately for you there isnt really any footage of david bryant live except for the tony awards in one day more
Judy Kuhn is really good, even though I used to prefer Rebecca, partly because her voice sounded pretty in the recording, but now she's using a LOT of vibrato. Ah well. Good Job!
The character of cosette kind of pissed me off (treasured girl who appreciated others, but not nearly enough), just cf with eponine ... :'(. Judy's interpretation to me, is a lot more palatable.
I don't wanna yuck anybody's yums, but I don't think that Judy was the best choice for Cosette. Judy is majorly talented don't get me wrong- but I feel like Cosette's archetypes were really abandoned in this production.. Cosette's tone is normally so light and youthful for a reason, it symbolizes her innocence and purity. Also hence why Cosette normally has light hair. Beautiful production nontheless, but could be confusing to viewers looking to read between the lines. Cosette's voice is a statement within itself, and it was denied here.
Also Judy Kuhn was the original Broadway Cosette. She does have a youthful tone--she just has good classical technique, which you actually need to sing this well.
This is finally a Cossette I can get behind, one with the operatic voice that she deserves!
She (Judy Kuhn) originated the role on Broadway

Judy Kuhn is my favourite Cosette and Michael Ball is my favourite Marius! 🤩🤩🤩🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
Judy Kuhn... a Cosette who can sing and ACT!!!! Thank you sweet Jesus!
judy kuhn and lea salonga together
its basically Pocahontas and Jasmine(Aladdin) fighting on the same dude :)
Then Eponine should win, cause she is both Jasmine AND Mulan hahahaha
@@carladilisio4819 you guys are hilarious!! :D :D

BEST MUSICAL IN THE HISTORY OF FREAKING HISTORY!!!!!
omg! so many princesses on one stage!
She has one of the most beautiful voices that's ever been heard on this planet
The way she actually sighs "sigh"
I saw this production. For me Judy Kuhn has the most beautiful voice of all.
I love how Cosette always has such a high, sweet voice. Props to you, Judy Kuhn.
LEA SALONGA, JUDY KUHN, AND MICHEAL BALL ON ONE STAGE TOGETHER?! 🤯
OMG!!! Pocahontas, Fa Mulan and Princess Jasmine in Les Miz?!?!
THIS IS AWESOME!!!!!
Best Cosette I have ever heard.
I got to see her in Fun Home when I was in New York, she is amazing.
Keep in mind this is almost 10 years after she first played Cosette on broadway!
Her voice is so pure and lovely oh judy :'(
I usually hate Cosette, but she makes me adore the character, its crazy. Love her.
Flawless.
My favorite eponine.
I Love Lea!! LOL!
Judy didn't have near enough solos for my taste
i loveeee this performance!!!!! i'm naming my child cosette if its a girl or marius if its a boy LOL
I miss those days!🙋♀️
Still love the version so much, nowadays it's sung SO fast and it seems so rushed.
i could listen to this cosette
Jesus, it's like hearing pocahontas sing les miserables xD
Jzc11024: Lea salonga is Mulan's and Jasmine's singing voice. Daaah!!!!!
Eponine FTW
Judy Kuhn is my choir director's friend.
I think I like Katie Hall more as Cosette because she is more relatable as a silly, young teenager falling in love at first sight. Katie, to me, is just more believable. Although Judy's voice is just lovely.
I would be interested in these actors' feedback on the film.
when I close my eyes and listen to this I can't hear Cosette anymore I only hear Pocahontas!!
Yeah, she is.
@TheLollygagger very true
MY NAME IS COSETTE!! yay me! :P
and then I hear Jasmine/Mulan too :-)
@ExitSiign listen to david bryant sing it live and you wont say that, fortunately for you there isnt really any footage of david bryant live except for the tony awards in one day more
How doesn’t she have a Tony? Her not winning for Funhome was a lie
@TheLollygagger i know, right
@freeyoh Let's not forget Jasmine :D
And Jasmine.Lol!
Don't forget Jasmine!
i am cosette in my musical. (:
Lea Salonga is. Judy Kuhn is the singing voice of Pocahontas, and Lea Salonga is the singing voice of Mulan and Princess Jasmine.
love the women! And I do love Michael Ball... but I think I like OBC better.
They cut out the part where she signs to Valjean, that really sux!
And Jasmine... aha
@freeyoh and princess jasmine!
@DrinkOmally Okay you are right... 99 percent of me watching that video in the past was for Enjolas.
Dont forget Jasmine :)
Who's Amanda Seyfried?
If I could simulate manic vibrato via keyboard I'd tell you
That's the blonde girl from that Lindsay Lohan film, "Mean Girls."
Eponine sings for both of them and Cossette sings for Pocahontas.
Judy Kuhn is really good, even though I used to prefer Rebecca, partly because her voice sounded pretty in the recording, but now she's using a LOT of vibrato.

Lucky bastard marius.... Pocahontas and Jasmine/Mulan is fighting for him ahahah

@cozygoby15 im naming my daughter cosette
I wonder if Judy's got some Native American in her. She's got those high enunciated cheekbones like I do!
She's fantastic!
She’s got Pocahontas’ blood in her veins for sure
Between Mulan and Pocahontas
Is this on Spotify by any chance?
Lea Salonga was Mulan...
She's not Mulan.
The character of cosette kind of pissed me off (treasured girl who appreciated others, but not nearly enough), just cf with eponine ... :'(. Judy's interpretation to me, is a lot more palatable.
Pocahontas and Mulan in Les Miz..
Pocahontas vs Mulan.
She doesn't sing for mulan and jasmine
jzc11024 actually Lea does.
Pocahontas, Mulan, and Jasmine in Les Miz...weird!!!
jzc11024
Dun like her face, but shit that voice is just amazingg
the music does not fit with her lip movement at alll!!!!!

Um... Judy was the original Cosette on Broadway.
