    This video was actually very helpful! It turns out the screw from one of the expansion clips from my trim cable found it’s way to a speaker wire and that was enough to cause that issue

    Thanks for this. Been at it for like 6 hours and finally removed all the speaker wires coming out the head unit. Still got the amp error. Need to fix or get a new head unit.

    this was happening to me. i have a high voltage system and my fuse blew without me knowing. my music stopped working and once i replaced the fuse and charged the batteries it never had an error again. so i assuming it has the same effect on the amp in the radio when your voltage is too low. it’s trying to draw power it doesn’t have and therefore shuts off. that’s what happened with mine.

    When I put my window down, the unit would cut out and I would get the amp error. It turns out that the tweeter wire was getting hit by the window and the wire insulation was actually cut from the window going up and down. Thanks for the tip. All good now that I rerouted the speaker wires.

    So the amp error on a mvh-312 could just be a result of a bad speaker ?

    I’ve had my radio for over a year now and all of a sudden one day I hit the break and I noticed a heavy static and once I let of it was fine I checked if wires were getting pinched behind the peddles and it won’t..one day I go to play my speakers and they wouldn’t play and it was some static hear and there but no sound in any of my 4 speakers my subs play fine but after a little bit with the radio trying to play it shows a amp error..I thought it was a ground issue so I cut the ground and made a new ground and is doing the same thing..any ideas on what to do?

    I have the same issue with my pioneer avh 2500 nex. I disconnected all speaker wires and amplifier wire running to my factory amp and am still getting amp error with just power ground and constant power. Does this mean my head unit is bad?

    So I was hooking up my subs last night. I had everything else hooked up right but when I went to hook the ground wire up from the amp, the radio just cut out and it said amp error on my radio. Do you know what it could be?

    Great description mate. I’ve got this issue but unfortunately none of these seem to be the issue. The power ignition (red) wire is my issue. If I connect to an ignition line after around 50 seconds the error comes up. But if I connect that wire directly to the battery it is fine. Obviously that’s not ideal as I will drain my battery. The internet after countless hours isn’t helping at this point. Hopefully I find a fix. Thanks again

      Run the power wire to a switch to turn on and off, as long as the yellow power constant has power all the time the memory will be saved. Could also just run it straight to the fuse panel grab a fuse slot tap fuse and go to the radio fuse.

    The old Pioneer stopped playing CD's, bought a new Pioneer, (DEH-S4220BT) thinking the plugs would be the same.
    After 20 years? Nope, so had to rewire it, powered it up and no sound.
    Aw C**p!
    Got an "Amp Error" message and thought "What did I do wrong"? Turns out (like you said) one of the speaker connections had moved just enuf when I was messing with the wiring to touch the frame, and now -->sound.
    Will wait until exactly 12:00 to plug it in as I have no idea how to set the clock

    My amplifier error only came on after 15 to 20 minutes so I'm thinking what has happened I ran 3 4ohm tweeters on a 2ohm amplifier it only started when I did it want to say it is a speaker over load when I turned the volume up that's when the amp error occurs I will try it out with just a 2ohm load

    • @SmittysWorld
      @SmittysWorld  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      motherboard is overheating probably from to much load. Raise the ohm load or remove some speakers see if that helps. Also could have a bad coil on a speaker making it short as it gets hot.

    • @ceciljones1248
      @ceciljones1248 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SmittysWorld I did and it hasn't did it so far I think the ohms is two low I was being lazy and didn't want to hook up another amplifier or run my new tweeters to my head unit thanks for the response 👍

      @ceciljones1248 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      OK I went back to a 2ohm load hasn't shut off of 45 minutes of play time I have a ds18 320x4 channel amplifier class d I think that is what saved it from blowing up I have a old school two channel lunar amplifier on 4 infinity kappa in the door and back deck thought it was the lunar amplifier because it is ran down to one ohm it gets hot but doesn't shut off and I had that amplifier for years it was made in the United States in Louisiana and that think is bullet proof you know it's hot down here in Houston?

      Same. Trynna figure this shit out. Its all clean signals and everything is fine. Good voltage, on a 3k salt amp.. everything fairly new but still gives amp error.

    • @225savage0
      @225savage0 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’ve had this problem with 3 different head units. Maybe I left the factory speaker wires hooked up and there touching something in a door. All of my stuff is amped. I would get that message when bumping really hard after a while. Now with this unit I never got the message. I have it in 3 way crossover mode and my damn right Mid-Range rca quit working. So maybe it’s a wire touching in the right door and if I ‘untouch it’ that rca jack will start working again.

    • @225savage0
      @225savage0 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It that’s the issue I’m removing them speaker wires from the headunits plug. I don’t use them anyway.
