Never seen a chassis from Tamiya like that before, actually I've never heard of the Astute before either. This is new to me and I love watching it, Thanks Omar. 👍👍👍
Very cool bro 👍💥 I remember this buggy man ! Wow you bringing me back some memories! I started out with the Hornet 🐝 so I love the picture on your channel 👍💥! I wish I still had all my old school RCs bro especially my Clod buster that had the CHEVROLET logos on it . One of these days once I catch up with everything I got going on I would like to build another Clod buster
Theibault bro I have to see this video of yours about the hornet 🐝! We have something very in common that was me as well and the grasshopper as-well they were the same . I will try to look for it
This is going to be a killer build.! I was a bit younger when this one hit, and I could not buy one either. Can't wait to see this one all finished up.! Well done sir.!
Going backwards with watching the two vids! Representing the 90's with the neon sweater! Very cool!👍 Again, not familiar with this Tamiya, and it looks so different from the 80's buggies. Hold on, I need to play some 80's to represent the decade. 😉 Can you hear it? I'm playing "Africa" right now! 😉👍
Oh nice! I was going to order the Super Astute but i saw the Top-Force and ordered that 'cos it's 4WD. Maybe i get the SA later. Now i have LB under work. It needs metallic black paint and light set. SS RZ works as the motor as soon as it arrives. Mystery Machine is on the list also 😎
Love the look of this Tamiya buggy, Omar! I was really tempted to get one myself - but unfortunately it is a little too expensive for my pocket! Sure looks like a quality kit though, I will be following this series with keen interest buddy! :)
Looking all smug with your yellow shirt and new Tamiya :P pfffttt okee.. I'd look smug with a new Tamiya as well :) My brother did have the original.. very cool man! Have fun with the rest of the build!
Thanks Scott! I'm guessing you mean the thread lock. All mine have come in kits but you can buy it from Amazon or Ebay. It's called Tamiya Anaerobic Gel or threadlock.
I haven't got this yet so this will be fun to follow. I see you are using bushings instead of bearings (730) I do have 3 original Astutes (2 of them is Super A) So when i was a young teen i did run this car all the time. The only thing i do not like about SA is the livery. When i will get my hands on a new one i will put some Astute decals on instead (Awesome)
Thanks! I don't feel that bearings would help in place of those little bushings as it's all in just suspension pieces that move very freely already. The transmission and wheels will be properly ball raced. I know a ton of people that hate the very 90s livery, but I personally love it lol. Hope you end up getting one!
I have so much experience with press nuts now due to flying quads. This is a real nice kit and a great reminder of the way cars were back in the early 90's. Thanks for watching Mal!
@@theibault HECK YES, then I am allmost willing to bet we are going to get the DYNA vehicles too as they are derivatives of the astute and had splined CVDs. Would be a waste to create the splining manufacturing setup and only use it "once"
Very Nice Video
Full watch and Like My Friend 👊👍✈️
Thanks brother! Appreciate you. ;)
That box art is worth the purchase alone great start to the build i want to see this beast throwing dirt and drifting corners👍👍💣💣
Thanks Brent! I'm so stoked to get it running. ;)

Thanks Kev! This chassis is the precursor to what would be Tamiya's best racing buggy at the time, the DynaStorm.
You should check out the Tamiya Egress.

Thanks bro! The Hornet is my fave. So much so that I made a whole video about how it got me into RC. Love my Clod! Get one dude. ;)

@@BOTAJELL I uploaded it within the last 2 months. Titled How I Got Into RC, or something like that. I just talk a lot in the video lol.

Cool, I've never built an Astute or owned one before, this should be interesting.
Thanks Pablo! It's a lovely kit so far. Can't wait to go rip with it. ;)
Cool looking kit 👌 be good to see how it turns out 🤘👍
Thanks bro! Next part should be up in a day or so. Appreciate you bud!

Thanks Mark! I had to have this to go with my same period Losi and Associated buggies.
Looks like it's going to be a nice build👍
Tamiya did a good job on this re release. Thanks!
Nice video Omar! This is gonna be a sweet build 👍
I'm really enjoying it so far Charlie! Thanks dude!
hmmm, I had the normal Astute in 91. Maybe i need a super Astute! :D Nice build!
Thanks! It's a real nice kit to build. Should have that last video out soon. ;)
Wow is that chassis Graphite? Very 90s! Awesome.
Thanks John! It's actually FRP, but real nice.
Is it the next production?
You make it truly politely.😍👍
Yes, new build! Thanks bud!

Enjoying this a lot as never seen one built. Those press nuts i'm not a fan of as had one seize once a major headache.

Thanks brother!
So cool!!!You seem to be very easy to do a very fine job=D 2207here amd left a like
Thanks so much! Appreciate you watching and the nice comment. ;)
This car Is awkwardly why I didnt get one outright and bought a 3d printer first, we all know Tamiyas spare parts support over time XD
Lol, too true. I use Ebay kit breakers to get my parts. Thanks for watching bud!
@@theibaultor Rims, as they arent quite 2.2 s and are bearing ones, basically nowhere to find, well print my own :P
