Im in the (rtr) Rc hobby for almost 10years nd im always fixing everything by myself. Ive rebuild diff, shocks etc. That being said. I have never build a kit. My question is. Do you think this Tamiya Astute is possible to build for me?
I think any Tamiya is suitable for a beginner. They have absolutely perfect manuals, so anyone should be able to do it. Plus, the Astute is 2WD, which is easier to build than 4WD. The only problem might be with cutting and painting the body if you've never done it before. But otherwise you can definitely do it.
@@milosrcernycerny5537 thanks for the reply! I just ordered the Tamiya Super Astute! I also ordered the 1150 and 850 ball bearings with it. May I ask what kind of shocks u use for this build? I love the aluminium look. It will be a shelf queen and Im not going to drive it. The building itself will be therapeutic for me😅 And if I like this I will buy more Tamiya's (Avante, Egress, Top Force) and I will put them in a glass closet next to my tv in the living room. You have a new sub!
@@JvD1985 Haha, you will love that buggy, good choice. Those shocks are hop-up for Tamiya VQS, try to find Tamiya 47455. My Astute is shelf queen too, but I run it ocassionaly, very gently 😉. Avante, Egress and Top Force EVO are so nice build experiences too. And I would add Bruiser/Mountaineer too (but the 3-speed gearbox can be annoying during the build).
