Love you daycare setup.. in the process of planning my daycare and just want to use my basement and I dont have a kitchen there.. so since the kids are eating in the basement in ur daycare.. how do you move food up and down
Great video. I’m a licensed home daycare provider. I’ve always wanted to move my daycare into my basement, but my state requires the windows to be a specific height and width as well as an egress door. My basement the the full size of my house and would provide SO much space. However, I do have my home setup as a home with furniture that serves two functions. Our storage space are built-ins that have doors on them and that’s where we keep all of our supplies (art/extra blocks/books, etc..) our changing table has a removable top, so it looks like a beautiful dresser when daycare is closed. I’ve tried making things work for me when daycare is in session and when I’m closed for the weekend or holidays.
I just purchased the Melissa and Doug grocery store. It is worth every penny! My two year old niece loves it. The attention to detail is amazing. It didn’t take my daughter hardly anytime to assemble it.
Wow you have a lot of help. How blessed you are. I have six daycare kids and two grandkids I watch by myself full time 5 days a week. Yes 12 hour days. . I only have one infant though and only take kids up to 5 years. I only take one infant at a time and most of my kids started daycare here as infants. I usually have them until they age out. . I have one big room and try not to use the other rooms if my house so I don’t have to clean the whole house every day. We do go outdoors twice a day which really helps or they probably would be bored in one room . In the morning we play out back where water and sand tables are and all the big things like slides, climbers, and see saws are located and toys also. In the afternoon after nap we play out front on a big deck. They ride bikes, and have pushing toys and are usually picked up from there. I like my set up, just wish my playroom were a little bigger. I guess we are never satisfied with our space. I move my daycare furniture around every few months too. Lol. I think you daycare spaces are very nice. Mine is very different. All my kids are together all the time and the kids love playing with the baby.
I have loved watching your space change to accommodate your group. I don't think we ever find a perfect setup that works for too long:) Not daycare related, but, I LOVE your buffet in your dining room. Did you paint it yourself?
Is there a restroom in the basement? I might have missed it! Love your space This is my last year teaching high school for a while. I am starting a in home daycare in the fall.
Just a question do you secure your heavy furniture to the walls of were the children.play. we have to here in new Zealand over a certain has to be secured to the walls.

I love your daycare set up. Trying to get mine set up with out spending a lot of money.
I LOVE this! I bet your kids have the BEST time. Very creative, how many do you have and what are their ages?
How much you charge for each kid at your home daycare?
Please let me know where did you buy kitchen and washer dryer.
