In my case, I've ridden both MT-07 and SV650 and they were really close, but I eventually went with SV650 just because it is a v-twin, but honestly both bikes were so close that either would have been a good choice.

As someone who has been riding for over 12 years I find it awesome to see new people join in the hobby of riding bikes. I at one point had a MT07 with a full stunt cage and stage 2 tune, that bike was great I miss riding it.
Not many people buy gears and take lesson before buying a bike. That's the best way to go in my opinion. Most buy bike first then run out of budget for those.
I’ve also recently gotten into motorcycles. I’m actually taking my MSF course currently, and already have all my gear. I’m waiting to pass my course so I can get my license and then go and buy my bike (to help lower insurance rates) but I’m super excited and I’m having such a great time. I’m stoked to see all the new riders like me, it’s awesome!
Ive neen riding 46 years and my MT-07 os the most fun bike i have owned or ridden during that time. No matter what else comes and goes from the fleet, that one has a permanent spot in the garage.

I used to be a car guy myself, bikes just never interested me - until I watched a guy called Royal Jordanian and in one of his videos he was talking about why he rode and I think he summed it up well - that to get the same feeling of connection on 4 wheels it would pretty much have to be approaching racing specs and even then the connection just isn’t as visceral. Ride on!

Why didn't you look at Honda's CB750 Hornet for example, or the CB650R ? MT07 is kinda outdated today and not the best bang for buck (power/price ratio).
Aint no way im selling my death trap car for a death bike. So many barriers to a bike licence. But Im jealous of people that have no house no car and are free.
Once you ride a bike you won't understand cars bike is nice bang for buck, for the same performance you need to add way more zero's when dealing with cars plus on two wheels you can skip all traffic and road closures and what not. You think I'm changing my route to work? Ha pls

Does the light weight of your bike make wind more dangerous compared to a heavier sport bike?
Definitely a factor. All the Harley’s around town love the highways, whereas the MT-07 is a little better around country road curves
