dude im so gonna do this. I have an issue of my battery draining really fast (like within days) and I cant think of what it could be. Until I can figure out how to fix that, I think this is a great work around and be able to charge the battery while I'm not practicing and have it ready to go when I do need it. Im glad I found your video
Honestly i'm just going to start with the batteries you linked. Recently had a passive to active pickup conversion done on my guitar and every time I go to pick it up (i don't play often enough) I have to put a new dang battery in. If I get the gumption I'll probably get around to doing a conversion like this though, thanks for the straightforward instruction!
Fishman makes a nice universal lithium battery kit but it's 9v. Was just about to go that route on my Schecter SLS Elite Evil Twin 5 string since it has Fishman Fluence Soapbox pickups and electronics in it. This seems a little more my style tho. Lol
Oh and I also wanted to mention that I fly RC planes and have been using lithium batteries for quite a while. Don't ever use your batteries while charging them... For anyone that may not have already known that.
even crazier, I've noticed with these at least that if I try to use my wireless with them... no bueno. I have yet to test it with standard 9v batteries.
@@rustyjorgensen There's not a lot of space. Battery is wedged in pretty tight. And is almost touching the box that thing that I assume powers the pick ups. No toggle of any kind to turn to passive. Power activates when plugging in cord.
Honestly, no noise? That’s amazing. Some are saying the boost circuit in these batteries produces noise but what you’ve done is genius and imma copy haha. It’s so expensive to experiment where I live though.
Awesome! Can i not just take the battery out to charge it? I have a hotswap thing, so its easy to change it. Rather not do all those fancy mods. Cool vid tho!
THIS VIDEO CHANGED MY LIFE.
THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPY!
Nicely done! I just got Fishman Fluences so I am seriously considering this!

Thanks. I just got sick of replacing 9v’s from being stupid and leaving my cable plugged in. I’m glad this is a solution for you.
I tried this in 9v.. got a very bad high frequency noise.. any thoughts/suggestions ?

Have you tried unplugging your guitar? For some reason if you keep it plugged in it drains the battery.
@@Deac0n_Blues If you mean having a cable plugged into the jack, I usually unplug it when I'm done, but i'll double check. Thanks for the tip!
You should drill a hole in the battery door cover so you can see the charging light.
I had thought about that. But I know that if I have it plugged in for a few hours I’m good. But I may still do that.
Legend! Thank you.
how about 6,700 mAh is it ok to use that battery?

Nice mod. I just got my 1st active bass. But the battery is in same pocket that the pots and shit are in.
Should make it WAY easier for you then!

Yup. That’s how mine is too. No toggle whatsoever. I lucked out with the space in the tone control cavity.
bro this is a life saver!!! thank you!! :)
Glad it helped! I just really got sick of replacing batteries.
Very interesting. Does that add noise to the sound???
Not at all
