    At 3:48 you go very fast. Do you mean that the s380 cannot connect to the router via Wi-Fi?
    This is a no go for me

    • @BARBSTER360
      @BARBSTER360  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah it plugs in via Ethernet cable to the router. But we just bought a cheap Wi-Fi plug in booster (so we could position the Homebase where we wanted, as we didn’t want it next to the router). Doing this basically makes it wireless as you can plug it in wherever you want

  • @zhodge0

    Thank you for the idea. I don't have a free router port but I do have a Samsung Smarthings wifi mesh puck that I can plug the Eufy into.

    Hi just watch your video I’m old School can you use the cameras indoors as I live in a small flat plus I don’t like wires around the house thank you for your time and great video by the way JJ

    • @BARBSTER360
      @BARBSTER360  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Heya, yes you could use It inside but I’d probably say that this is a bit ‘over the top’ for solely internal use. As these are usually used for outside they are built to withstand the cold and rain being weather sealed and also have the solar panels built in. Using them inside would mean the solar panels won’t see the sun so you would have to be charging them up ever few months or so… I’m sure Eufy would do other slightly cheaper cameras that are for internal use 👍🏻 hope this helps!

    Brother, thank you for your review. I have a question about the homebes device. Does it have to be connected to the Ethernet wire all the time, or only at the beginning when setting up the device, and then it stays connected to WiFi without the need for a cable?

    • @BARBSTER360
      @BARBSTER360  ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hello . Thanks for the great video When motion is triggered and a familiar face is captured does it tell you for example " dad is seen In the garage " or
    " mom is In the kitchen " | set mine up and added 11 familiar faces and it still just says
    " someone has been seen " . Is there a setting I missed. Thanks

    Does the new Homebase 3 provide additional functionality, to allow you to turn off multiple/all cameras at once?

  • @krystian1979pl
    @krystian1979pl 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Question 1: Whats the cool off period for these cam before i can get an another motion alert. We know thiefs are straighr behind couriers when they dropp off a package.
    Question 2: they are military grade encrypted i mean the signal (video and sound?) So how durable are these cams to withstand wifi 2.4ghz jamming equipment (like a pendrive you can power up from a powerbank in your pocket) dodgy peoples may use against these cameras to stop them from working in order to get to your house

  • @st520
    @st520 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    What is the delay from when some one/thing triggers a motion alert to when you actually get notification on your phone/device? I _think_ I saw somebody mention like 5-7 seconds? If thats the case, that scares me.

  • @521wooley

    Thanks peter

    • @BARBSTER360
      @BARBSTER360  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It all depends on your WiFi signal strength. Our internet/router isn’t great so it doesn’t reach very far, that’s why we used a booster to get the cameras/hub where we wanted

      Oh crap, you're right. I already bought one, just haven't installed it yet. I guess I'll have to plug it into a wi-fi extender like they did.

    • @turbolag5107

      I can confirm that the home base 3 does not have a Wi-Fi connection option in the settings. I also have a home base too that came with the doorbell and that has a Wi-Fi connection option in the settings so I do not think that the home base 3 is Wi-Fi capable

    Got the system like you with 3 cameras. Only problem is motion on first camera installed is the only one sending notifications. All cameras were configured as Eufy wants, but something is not right with 2 of the 3 cameras-the last two setup as per instructions like the first camera, but they do not send notifications on movement like the first camera does perfectly. Any suggestions for help?? Thanks and loved the video.

    • @BARBSTER360
      @BARBSTER360  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey, not sure if I can help but if you go into ‘security’ then go into the cameras Homebase, then go into the security mode you want it on by clicking the settings cog and have a look of notifications are turned on for each individual camera you want notifications from. That might be why only one camera is sending notifications

  • @DrCmoments

    Which wifi extender did you use in the video? Is there any particular reason that you chose this extender over others? During recent house renovation, I removed all the Ethernet cables. So now my hb3 is placed in the garage which is certainly non ideal. Need to find a way to relocate it into my home office :) thanks

    Very impressed and loving your videos!
    Were braving a real renovation for the first and last time as were in our fifties
    We are taking on a rather old (don't know how many hundreds of years) English granite stone built farmhouse, so want to pour our hearts into it.
    I have watched so many sales videos and quite a few dodgy DIY ones as well, but yours is exactly where we feel we are.
    Its going to take a few years, but! if you ever fancy a trip over and compare, we live in the best part of the UK, Cornwall.
    Good luck with the online stuff, your really good and will appeal to most.

  • @atulmathur07
    @atulmathur07 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    There are 2 big issues with this …
    1. The range for human motion detection is hardly 7-8 ft as opposed to the Eufy’s claim upto 26 ft.
    2. The camera wakes up with a lag of 3-4 seconds in event of human detection. That lag coupled with limited range is so significant that any intruder can easily gain access to your home.
    This is an expensive toy that pretends to be a security system which it is not.
    Buyers need to be careful with this if they are looking for a robust security system for your home. It just doesn’t work as claimed.
